To answer your first question, 1k isn’t balanced so, I’d run the bolters. If you run into a vehicle heavy list you just need to outscore them on secondaries and not engage. I see two critiques on your list: (1) Azreal cannot lead company heroes id drop them; (2) the knights and terminators fill the same roll — with the knights doing it better — I’d replace the terminators and chaplain.
If you follow the above critiques you could add a gladiator lancer for anti armor and a 10 person Sternguard squad for Azreal to lead.
