The ship, however, I don't know if it's on-board autopilot or the ghost remote controlling it when the Guardian is out of the ship. They're advanced enough that I'd be willing to give the ships autopilot as a possibility.
Cooper is technically the main character of of TF2 although you could argue that BT shared the role of MC. I would say that cooper would probably be a more reliable partner to survive long term since Military's train their soldiers survival skills. BT would be alright short term and his equipment might allow for rescue but he becomes useless when he runs out of power. Unless I am missing something about Titan Battery life.
