Yeah actually I was a kid back then and I haven't seen the Psycho movie back then so I felt it was like new and original tbh! But yeah it scared me especially the climax part since it was right out of Hitchcock's playbook!
It was made by newcomers who did not know how to maximize money, and made only a little bit of profit on this movie. The same makers made the movie "Diary" (not to be confused with kavya's diary which released at same time), and lost all their money and never made movies again.
Bro, that is shitpost obviously. I wouldn't recommend Trisha's solo lead movies to even my worst enemies.
This is a proper horror movie. Easily better than any horror movie that came out in TFI during the last 5 years.

Maha maha is better than my humps
Video ne ga
A film my Aravind. Not a horror movie but there are scares & direction was fantastic.
Broo this is my nostalgia
For me it was Anasuya and Indumati! They scared shit out of me!
Indumati was the Psycho rip-off, no? Kadha was also good but it bombed iirc

Anasuya was also heavily inspired from memoirs of a murder
Adhi amaravathi kadha? Not indumathi.
Amaravathi is Bhoomika and Ravibabu's second combo starring Tarak Ratna it's also a unique concept but not scary!

I used to know them personally. They were all IT guys and used to flat together near Habsiguda IIRC. One of them was named Anand, I think.
Guess it got released during dasara. Couldn’t get tickets. Also, that hump step was ridiculously famous
Ah movie lo shivaji untadu ga.
This was good. Also, Ravi babu was in a swing at the time with his horror/thriller movies. Another good one, Nandanavanam 120km.
How dare you diss Mahaa.. it’s way better than the original!
Ni previous posts chusaka nuvvu eh horror movies recommendation chesina chuse antha dairyram ledu /s

Telsu bro just joke chesa anthe
I think this and Anasuya released during the same time? I loved both those movies. Anasuya is one of the best Telugu thrillers.
What's it called? Can't read telugu😅

For me the downside was the climax..
I know a movie for 90’s kids - Raatri
It's not a direct telugu film, shivapuram (Prithviraj film).
Totally agree on this one!!! Only exception- watch it in a dark room with a pretty good sound system..
Nandavanam 120 km. You should see that. It's our very own shutter Island
