Assuming you don't want to go straight up Spadina with no bike lane?
If coming from the west, go up Strahan then east on Wellington if you want to stick to bike lanes as much as possible.
From east, up Simcoe and west on Richmond to spadina
No. There is still the rail hazard. Some track and overhead line work where it would be closed off in those sections. It is not signed as a bike lane.
NB Strachan Ave to EB Wellington St W.
Or
NB Simcoe St, WB Richmond St W, SB Blue Jays Way to front, walk a short block towards Spadina.
Yeah when pre planning my trip with Google maps that seemed like the most straightforward route but the intersections there worry me a bit. Will give it a shot anyway. Thank you!
Is Spadina and Front your destination?
I'd take Dan Leckie and then the bridge over to Portland and Front. Then along Front for the block. But I haven't been there since the Well opened. You might want to go all the way to Wellington and take the bike lanes.
Strachan to Wellington is ok too.
Strachan is ok - it's wide, but it doesn't have curbs last I knew. I don't love going over that hump. And the bit by the Princes' Gate sees some pretty wild driving. I feel pretty exposed.
Dan Leckie has a 6m trail off the road. It isn't on the street at all once you cross Lakeshore until you are past Fort York. And the bridge over the tracks is neat.

There's no ttc streetcars running on Spadina for the rest of the year. Some construction aside, one big bike lane.
Will we actually be allowed to use it? That would be amazing.

I thought that's starts later on this year.
It starts this Sunday.
good....we need "one more lane" for bikes....will help ease bike traffic congestion đ

don't use google maps. use the timeshare app. it has the best map for bike lanes and trails and you don't need to subscribe to see the map.
Could you walk your bike, on the sidewalk, from MGT, up Spadina, to Front street?
Thatâs likely what will happen if I donât have the balls to ride in the bike gutters.

Yeah will give strachan and Wellington a go. Otherwise I may try getting to Wellington from Bloor on another trip.

If coming from the west, go up Fort York Blvd. Theyâre crappy bike lanes but much better than Spadina.
Go up Bathurst. Itâs totally fine. Then turn onto Front. The hill is annoying but thatâs about it.
Isnât traffic there always at a stand still anyways? Iâd say youâre fairly safe.
