Today is International Workers' Day in almost all of the world. I imagine not all of those countries have it as a public or paid holiday, but most of them do.
Labor Day on September 1st is basically exclusive to the anglosphere + Japan.
The May 1st date is actually American in origin as it was originally selected by the American Federation of Labour but because the date ended up being used not only by the labour movement but also the Soviets it was probably too sensitive to have a US holiday on that particular day.
True, but here we can also nitpick. But weirdly enough overall, [Karl Franz](https://preview.redd.it/qke9fg3owf9c1.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=a26518f0fe335e6784336d716d4b7f59464b7fae) reigned supreme.
That year got a Tzeentch/Kislev/Cathay DLC. While SoC had its problems, we can't ignore that the new LLs, new campaigns and troops did probably push those races/factions ahead. On a similar note we have now probably a huge boom on Dwarfs and Empire campaigns kicked off. So even if we get another DLC this year which might cater to Slaanesh/???/???, it probably will not be a surprise if Empire will go strong through the rest of they year and might take the cake in the end (in case CA again does some statistics).
And in case of the "*everyone loves to play the good guys*", we also have to point out that Chaos was victorious in [game#1](https://preview.redd.it/crgyhupnl19c1.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=f2ecf44037074dc3d1aa7dd18e59590e55d7eb70), [game#2](https://preview.redd.it/32rpjvpnl19c1.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=1fcfbeea664dfe29bbaa48b0075d0f0294049419) and [game#3](https://preview.redd.it/6cjhkh3owf9c1.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=6bc2754510be5f70a71a0617f9c90ab4860a4a80). I guess Tamurkhan this year and maybe Dechala later to top it off, will also be another significant boost on that front ;)
Without a doubt. And that's okay, it's a mostly single player game that many players aren't going to play forever. They'll play the new stuff, have fun, and then bounce around to other games, maybe check back in a few months later.
Nonetheless, 5.0 is a great patch and all signs point to Thrones of Decay being received very well, leaps and bounds above Shadows of Change.
Almost 74k on a workday is insane! Its being more or less equal to Chorfs release is insane. This news is so good
1st of May is a holiday in many countries tbf.
It is? What countries and holiday is it?

Gotcha, so its basically labor day then for other countries.
Honestly, never heard of that. Its not a day off in my country sadly. It is holiday, but mostly for school Still a very impressive playercount
Labour Day which is a holiday in a lot of places including most of Europe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labour_Day
Its a holiday here in the US as well, just celebrated in September. I didn't know it had a different date in other countries.
The May 1st date is actually American in origin as it was originally selected by the American Federation of Labour but because the date ended up being used not only by the labour movement but also the Soviets it was probably too sensitive to have a US holiday on that particular day.
It's Workers day
Today is a holiday in most places
It is holiday in my country, but not due to the workers day, we dont have that sadly
Will we reach Warden and the Paunch numbers by weekend? Only 10k or so needed!
What a difference a competent team makes
And interesting "mainstream" races, tbh. 80% of casual Warhammer players dont even know who Kislev, Cathay and Tzeench are.
Pretty sure Kislev and Cathay were at the top of most played races in the 2023 poll CA showed. Everyone likes the "good guy" race.

how wrong this can be. Cathay was the 2nd most played race before SoC
Even if you don't know the lore, it's not any more difficult to grasp "fantasy China" or "fantasy Slavs" than "fantasy HRE" or "dwarves"
CA did well this time. Lets hope they keep that momentum going.
Don't be a dick to your fans is apparently a good strategy.
Cheers to you, fellow WH3 SteamDB’er of culture! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
wow. That shadows of change blip is really sad
And it will go down again and then the exact opposite will be talked about.
