A chaos wizard who melted a glacier. The folly was that in ages past some other wizards had trapped Kholek in there. So that sucked for pretty much everybody. Including Malofex, who Kholek killed immediately
Pretty sure Malofex was fine dying vs living as that guy who brought the monster as tall as Praag's walls back even if he was a chaos sorcerer.
"Oh yeah, I brought back the monster that the literal sun said NOPE to and forms blizzards large enough to conceal entire chaos hordes. My bad"
Edit: on second though, maybe he was happy to die that way

His folly was asking himself "Who is Malofex?" Tzeentch gifted him with knowledge that he could not handle. Existential crisis ensued.
