48 split, 49 open in high school. Am 41 now. I never get to tell anyone this but I still hold the record for the open 800 at the same jr. high my kids are at now :D
Yeah I was pretty sad I never broke 5. That was my goal all season and I came so close at the district meet. I think my PR before that was 5:04 or 5:09 I forget.
I was just kidding my dude! 5:01 is real good. I ran 5:03 and was upset I could never break it. I'm a lot older now but it's still a goal of mine someday
The mile for sure! I would usually get third at dual meets so it felt good to contribute points to the team. I didn't always score in the 800m or 2 mile. 2 mile was too long.
800m 2:18,
2 mile 11:16?,
5k XC 18:16
The 4x8 was also fun even though we didn't always win.
54.0 last year in a practice, 56 low this year but not in as good of shape. For reference I’m 34, a track coach, and when I was 14 I took 1:50ish to run the 400. Yeah, I sucked bad
60.44 😭 just got out of 8th grade, though, currently 13. Hoping to drop my times significantly freshman year, I'll let y'all know what I run then if I remember to
I am slow :) I am 43, took running seriously after 35. I am 6'4" and 192 lbs. My fastest mile is 5:43 and my 10k best is 39:13.
Goal this year is to train like a miler and get faster.
We're cut from same cloth; old, decent endurance, slow ass twitch muscles.
Would be funny if we ever raced a mile, kinda like mario kart when you racing the ghost of your past run.
Thing is, i don't race often. I believe I was at 18:45 shape at some point. I just enjoy running without racing year around. Races are fun but the taper is exhausting 🤣 i suffer from tapering blues
68 seconds (age 55), Current 5:35 Mile. Just ran sprints as a HS'er (11.XX 100M LOL) Started to run when I hit the big 5-0 and didn't want to rust away.
Glad to see that 48 split & 49/50 solo is somewhat common lol…it was definitely a hard level to get over. At least I can assume so because I never did 🤷♂️
55 last year at district champs. Almost enough to win the champs for my school. The 400 runner for the school that beat us ran like a 51 though sadly. Wouldve won champs if the shotput guy for our team decided to show up.
56s, with a 2:08.00 800m(so annoying close tobe 2:07.XX lol) and 4:27 1500m(I managed a 4:55 mile) and a 9:31 3000m, currently trying to regain my old fitness and then hopefully reduce these times XD
My 13 year old daughter runs 59.5 which seems pretty fast for a 7th going on 8th grader. She’s doing club track and hoping to qualify for USATF National Junior Olympics next month!
That’s so cool I can be talking to you! That will definitely be a unique experience, lots of people and lots of cultures. I hope she enjoys and nothing goes wrong with the process. Good luck!
Nope I always ran summer track and just never stopped running after high school I could run in local meets etc
Apart of me wishes I stuck with it I strongly believe I could have made a pan am nacac or world indoor team

16 minutes last year now 11 seconds.

And I’m 6
dam 41 gotta be a world record or sum
Lol, I mean I am now 41 yrs old
46.57
I’m a 48. When did you run this?
At 19 years old
Dang... that's blazing
49.5 4x4 split. 51 open. I’m a 400h specialist though 😉
Yeah 400 is my favorite.
How long have you ran track?
2 years.
High school?
Yeah.
Gotcha, try the 400h! Lots of fun haha
Never ran it in high school, but as a 30-something marathoner, I ran 56.9 a couple years ago. Edit: 30-something is my age.
What’s your marathon PR?
2:30
56 (I’m a girl)
58 or so. 5:01 mile. I wasn't that fast.
I’d take a 5-min mile!!
Technically it was not a 5 min mile
Yeah I was pretty sad I never broke 5. That was my goal all season and I came so close at the district meet. I think my PR before that was 5:04 or 5:09 I forget.

You needed a rabbit. LOL. Still respectable!
Glad you clarified that for me /s
What was your favorite race or most important PR for you, you had very similar times to me and my favorite race was the 1600
The mile for sure! I would usually get third at dual meets so it felt good to contribute points to the team. I didn't always score in the 800m or 2 mile. 2 mile was too long. 800m 2:18, 2 mile 11:16?, 5k XC 18:16 The 4x8 was also fun even though we didn't always win.
Low/mid 49’s. Only ran the open when I’d do the multis. This is also 22 years ago 😂

78sec. 19:15 5k pb. Hoping to go under 75sec this year.
That 5k is ridiculously fast for running a 78. You must be insanely endurance built
I am slow :) I am 43, took running seriously after 35. I am 6'4" and 192 lbs. My fastest mile is 5:43 and my 10k best is 39:13. Goal this year is to train like a miler and get faster.

I'll give it a shot this summet and train like a miler. Hoping to go under 5:20 and hopefully 72ish in 400. Should be possible 🤘🏻
Me and OOP are same person. 01:27 Half Marathon and fastest mile - 06:03.
That doesn't make sense at all. Explain🤣
Nice. What do you normally run?
Same here. I hate sprinting my legs just don’t move any faster 💀
I am slow :) I am 43, took running seriously after 35. I am 6'4" and 192 lbs. My fastest mile is 5:43 and my 10k best is 39:13.
10k under 40 mins with a 5k PB just around 20 mins!? That's crazy endurance!
Thing is, i don't race often. I believe I was at 18:45 shape at some point. I just enjoy running without racing year around. Races are fun but the taper is exhausting 🤣 i suffer from tapering blues
52 flat in HS. Enough to win the meet 🤷♂️ practice for us was running around the outside of a divoted soccer field for 4 years
I feel that bro. Practice at the hs im at consists of running in the halls for indoor and running on the lumpy, cambered asphalt for outdoor
Hell yeah. Practiced starts in the lone hallway of my HS 😆
52.5, indoors.
57.9
Not Olympic times and that’s okay
I barely scratched 66 seconds… BARELY I hate anything more than 200m 😂🤣
51.25
51.66
65 in high school.
57.25 - 8th grade boys
65 indoors leading off 4x4 in HS. I was a thrower.
65 as a thrower is respectable as hell damn
68 seconds (age 55), Current 5:35 Mile. Just ran sprints as a HS'er (11.XX 100M LOL) Started to run when I hit the big 5-0 and didn't want to rust away.
73 - thrower
58 split but only ran one this year. Coach didn’t want to overuse me since I was already doing 800m, 1500m, And 3k.
49.87. Though I was a pole vaulter who liked doing the 4. Pole vault was 16'10"
This is how you become a Decathlete.
Probably a couple of minutes, give or take.
Indoor 48.06(best 4x4 split 47.8 electronic. Outdoor 48.4(4x4 split 47.3 first leg coach Handtime split)
Only ran 4x4 in college no open, but 47 split at my fastest.
1:18. I’m a girl with a good 3200 (12:50) but not the equivalent sprint speed.
That is fast for a girl who runs long distances! I also ran the 2 mile in track 2 years ago.
48.70 in 2004
I started track in 8th grade and ran 66. By senior year I ran 52.1 FAT, good enough for 5th in States.
47.9 open 51.74 400 hurdles. Now I’m 41. So probably 180 🤪
48.99 open. 48.1 relay split in college. Was an 800 guy who was more high volume. Limited top end speed, but lot more consistency!
They made me run the 400 in my last meet of my first year on the team in high school. Afterwards, I said "screw this" and switched to pole vaulting!
I can’t even run 400 meters ngl
52.2 split and 52.9 last season as a freshman, I’m a 400/800 guy and I like the 800 more, less painful
50.05 I did the decathlon in college so I was pretty average
53.5 but I’m a 3200m guy
59.75
52.5, I'm 15 and have ran for 2 years. I want to go to state for track next year!
51 flat. 20 years ago
48.12
Not sure but hard to imagine it is faster than 60s
48.53 i was young then😅
55.9 when I was younger. Also, am woman.
I finished up my Sophomore year in High school and my fastest 4x4 split was a 51
Fastest was 51 sec at 20 in college. But I'm 6'5 240lbs.
48 in college, but I was a distance runner.
53 back in the day (late 90s). I was more of an 8/15 and X-country guy though.
61 LOL
54.9 indoors
56 in high school. Probably 60-65 now
54 in high school. I was a pole vault (13’6”) and 110 (14.5),300 (40.9) hurdles specialist though. This was 2004 though.
Made myself run that mf twice. 49.99 first attempt, don’t need to talk about the second attempt
48.2 in the open, 47.1 4x4 split at 18
No way I ran an 18 at 48
56 official, but I was an 800 guy cause my acceleration is cheeks
55.73
52s, my excuse is that it came 10 minutes after my first sub 10 min 2 mile and into 15mph wind on the home straight
53.8 in training 14y
48.92 on the 400 flat, 52.26 with hurdles
Long time since I ran an open 400. But I have 400h in 50.63 :))
50.3 open
90. Ran on a track for the first time yesterday. I’ll be back
66 sec. I'm a female 5km runner/high jumper but would love to get under a minute in the 400
48.92 PR at districts, somehow won state in 49.11
49.3 as a 43 y/o coaching few athletes run 45 🤷♂️
My best ever was 57, which I ran last year at a meet put on by a local club. I never ran it when I was actually fit, I was a 1500-5k guy.
56 seconds in 8th grade - 13 seconds 100m 8th.
Shit.
48.95 when I was a freshman in college. Ended up throwing javelin and then running the 800m after I got injured😂
Got a friend who ran a 44
56s, with a 2:08.00 800m(so annoying close tobe 2:07.XX lol) and 4:27 1500m(I managed a 4:55 mile) and a 9:31 3000m, currently trying to regain my old fitness and then hopefully reduce these times XD
52, only ran track for 2 years, ran a pr of 59 as a junior and then cut 7 seconds off as a senior, really wished I got another year
Distance runner here, ran the 4x4 and split a 48 high.
47.89
56. Just started track this year. 2:07 800 pr
Good luck!
In my prime 47 4x4 split 48 FAT. But now im washed up
43.03
Cap😂
i am niekerk🔥🔥
Prove it so I can ask for a virtual autograph
I’m 16 and my times are low 45
In my peak 44.7 iwas 175 lbs Now in probably could run a sub 47 now (220) If I trained for a year probably can run sub 46 (205)
44.7 would have gotten you a scholarship basically anywhere
I was using track to help with my combat sports career I competed in Muay Thai and boxing
Mind wasn’t right back then didn’t really l like track
You competed in college
Nope I always ran summer track and just never stopped running after high school I could run in local meets etc Apart of me wishes I stuck with it I strongly believe I could have made a pan am nacac or world indoor team
