The loaded fruit and nut gluten free granola mixed in with the vanilla bean Greek yogurt (purple container) is TO DIE FOR. Best fast breakfast/snack ever.
I almost always get the frozen teriyaki chicken; I cook it on a pan with some water so there’s more sauce, and then also make some jasmine rice.
The garlic sauce is a must for me, since I love dipping salmon, kebabs, even basmati rice with it. I recently got stuck on the roasted garlic hummus with their pita chips.
Also if I’m feeling extra their frozen chocolate croissants are pretty good, not too sweet. Or their regular croissants— I like to eat them with strawberry jam.
They recently discontinued my favorite snack, the Philly cheese steak bao buns 💔 but the burrata, prosciutto and arugula pizza is really good. So is their “crunchy slaw” salad.
my discovery this week (though you need a couple of extra things) is making a shortcut fresh spring/summer roll with the peanut and crispy noodle salad kit. You need rice paper wrappers (can order on line). Dip the wrapper in hot water very briefly. Then just layer in some of the salad and crispy noodles and some cooked chicken or other protein, even strips of egg omelette. (Or not, if you just want a veggie wrap). Wrap and dip in the dressing sprinkled with the peanuts. Fresh and delicious. Of course you could just make the salad but wrapping in a rice paper makes it extra interesting I think.
oh and my other new obsession is the zhoug dip. I've been through two tubs in as many weeks, either with the savory thin crackers, or wrapped in a tortilla with scrambled egg as a breakfast taco. Again so fresh tasting and delicious.
Get the steamed lentils and a chimichurri. Mix together. It’ll keep for a few days. Served it smeared on toasted bread with a slaw on top. Use it as a dip with crackers. Fill a wrap with it. So versatile and so good.
I honestly don’t know if these are underrated but I haven’t met anyone irl who said they get these as well:
• Braised Beef Roast (in demi glaze sauce; fully cooked) - Really soft and rich, great for when I don’t feel like cooking more than just a couple of diff veggies. I sometimes turn this into Korean Galbi-Jjim (braised short ribs) with more root veggies. Yum!
• Organic Lowfat Yogurt Strawberry Probiotic Smoothie - Honestly so delicious (and good for your gut)
• Turkey Corn Dogs - Cheap, easy savory snack
Edit: spacing
the red box frozen mac and cheese is the bomb, i also love their 6 pack yogurt cups, usually either mango and peach or strawberry and banana. their everything bagel sandwich crackers are also really good too
The frozen green curry meal is my favorite. People avoid it because of the tofu sheets. Nothing is better than that on a cold day when you're under the weather.
For the snacks I would definitely say the Onion Chips. They're so freaking good.
trying to add ones I didn't see mentioned yet -
snack: the chili crunch peanuts, they're so cheap and when you get to the bottom of the bag those bits are great to put on top of peanut noodles!
frozen: the asian stir fry veggies with the sauce pack. I tried this for the first time a couple months ago and its surprisingly good, especially if you like water chestnuts and baby corn. for a fast meal for two people I'll make this, and a bag of the veggie fried rice, and tofu or a chili oil egg.
other: the maple agave syrup is a really good price for using on waffles etc.
Oh I wish I'd read this a couple hours ago- stir fry veggies with sauce are exactly what I went to TJs for. A bag of broccoli and Soyaki will do, but I'll look for that next time.
How did you prepare them? I tried these once and they were so fatty and didn’t crisp up 😭 maybe the air fryer would crisp them up better, I just use the oven according to packaging.
I’ve tried this a few times and put them in their air fryer to make them crispy, but they are definitely very heavy on the skin/fat. There’s not a lot of meat so I make sure to make them super super crispy, like literally right before it starts darkening from burning, or else I can’t eat it.
I only get them when I have a wing craving though and lather them with ranch hahaha
Unexpected Cheddar - the block and the dip
Frozen soup dumplings
Gorgonzola Gnocchi (esp if you add a sprinkle of garlic powder and cayenne - oh my gosh it's incredible)
I recently bought those rosemary raisin crisps and my picky toddler ate the ENTIRE box, and when I checked the nutrition facts I was surprised to see how chock full of seeds and nuts they are. For a cracker/snack you could do a lot worse.
Blueberry scones. I put butter on top and warm them until the butter melts. They are soft and fluffy, not a hard, crunchy scone. It's torture to stop myself from eating the entire package when I get home.
Do the rainbow carrots taste different than regular carrots? Do you roast them or eat them raw? I want to try them, but they've been out of stock at our local TJ's the past couple times I looked for them.
They do taste different… the dark ones are a bit more earthy, the light ones are sweeter. I like them roasted or fresh, we just basically use them instead of regular carrots in every way! The red ones are the best- they have a yellow core and are super pretty when you cut them.
Ok I read on this sub that the refrigerated ones weren’t good but I had just bought some. I begrudgingly heated them up and was prepared to be disappointed but I LOVED THEM!
The beef and broccoli is one of my favorites for years now, along with Indian food. Siracha tofu is a freat staple and I use the refrigerated garlic spread allll the time
My kids love taking the beef from the bag in our freezer to add to their ramen or miso bowls.
I've given in and just make the broccoli from two bags as a side dish for dinner lol. (I usually buy 2 bags at a time)
Their frozen Chicken Chow Mein is one of my all time favorites. Pretty tasty meal for being out of a bag and super easy to make. Plus can easily add spice if you’re wanting something more to it. It’s become somewhat of a comfort meal to me now. I try to get a few to keep stocked on hand at all times.
Five Seed Almond Bars & Trail Mix Crackers. I am not a fan of raisins at all & both of these have them as an ingredient but they are ground up & mixed in for the bars and completely dried & sweet on the crackers.
OP, you'll need a big grocery budget to add all these new items people are listing:)).
Well, let me add a few too:
Gnocchi gorgonzola is my thing now. I could probably make it from scratch but theirs' is perfect so why bother.
5 cheese greek spiral
Mashed potatoes frozen - although they used to be better, they changed the recipe so not as great but still good.
Fire roasted frozen corn
$5 prosseco, Secco
lol. It’s natural uncooked fruit sugar except for 1g of added sugar so it is in fact healthy. Eat as much fruit as you want in life, it’s the healthiest thing humans can eat.
The other day my Trader Joe’s had the best samples and I bought all the stuff to make them. It was Beef Birria quesadillas. They used the Sonora flour tortillas (are these new btw?) and Avocado’s Number Guacamole. So so so good! I cooked the birria in a pan, shredded the meat and put the consommé into small bowls and we dipped the quesadillas. 🔥
I could eat the olive tapenade with a spoon. We get the garlic and herb pizza dough and do make your own pizza night and I love putting the olives on there with feta and some banana peppers. Also great on roasted French bread.
I love their frozen Belgium waffles. They soak up syrup so perfectly.
The mousse cake tastes like what I wish little Debbie snacks tasted like and always think they do until I have one. So delicious!
I also love to browse their like cleaning aisle with soaps and stuff.
Olive oil potato chips
Sunflower seed butter cups
Just a handful of manzanilla olives
Snack pack of marinated artichoke hearts (great on salads)
Frozen artichoke hearts (great roasted in some olive oil and spices of your choice)
Colorful carrot coins (in the frozen section)
Olive oil popcorn
The dolma in the can, and the giant beans in the can! Both honestly so good. Also so convenient for picnics or grab n go road trip snacks. I’m also a fan of the Peanut Butter Crispy Rice Bites! They’re vegan and GF and also individually wrapped!
The rosemary beef tips are really good. I usually throw them in the instant pot and make gravy with the drippings and serve them with mashed potatoes and some veg.
I will completely demolish a jar of that corn salsa with some tortilla chips. I always finish it in like 3 days by myself 😭
I also really love getting the cosmic crisp apples and dipping them in the creamy almond butter. The apples have to be refrigerated though, otherwise it doesn’t hit the same
The pesto chicken in the meat area. So good. The Patio chips are realty good. A favorite around here. The tiniest chocolate chip cookies. The peanut butter and chocolate wafers.
The frozen beef bulgogi. Sauté some shiitake mushrooms, baby bok choy. Serve over rice along with your beef. Top with a sunny side egg and avocado. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Sauces (soy, sriracha, etc.) and maybe some kimchi
My holy grail easy weekday meal is Shawarma chicken + marinated chickpeas + tomato/feta/whatever toppings over a salad mix using 50% cruciferous crunch and 50% mixed greens. The chicken cooks up really nice in an air fryer. The feta with Mediterranean herbs is also good to add here. Out of all these I think the marinated chickpeas are the most underrated!
I also love the marinated mozzarella balls, caramelized onion cheddar, rosemary bread, strawberry licorice, and pistachio toffee.
The shawarma chicken is great, I just tried it in the air fryer with pita bread, hummus, and sweet potato but should have splurged for more of the middle eastern toppings.
I’m going to try this! I just discovered the chickpeas you speak of, and made a simple salad out of those with cucumber, red onion, and the herbed feta. That’s it.
Their Pitted Prunes and the Frozen Artichoke Hearts are the 2 underrated items I love. The frozen artichoke hearts are great thawed out and then air fried. The pitted prunes are like candy without the guilt.
Some staples that my household enjoys are the soft and juicy mandarins/mango, freeze dried banana chips, mini chicken cilantro wontons, roasted garlic and pesto frozen pizza, bbq chicken pizza, chili and lime rolled corn chips, ghost pepper chips.
My coworker (who used to work at Trader Joe’s) told me about a snack she makes with three items, and it’s seriously amazing. Mix together a package of the pre-cooked lentils (in the refrigerated section), a container of the bruschetta dip (also in the refrigerated section), and a container of feta cheese. Eat with chips, pita, veggies, or alone. It’s seriously so good and a healthy snack or meal!
The frozen pizzas! spicy meat pizza(add honey + chili oil) or the new fried pesto(add balsamic glaze)
If you’re a sparkling water fan the Guava and watermelon flavors are🤌
the mango blueberry chia seed bowl is a breakfast staple for me. i also love love love the passion fruit rounds. i get the dark chocolate frozen bananas from time to time as a special treat. shrimp burgers and beefless bulgogi are some of my favorites for dinner!!
The dried soft and juicy mandarins! They’re such a sweet and tasty snack and the texture is divine! It’s like eating a gummy candy, but not! I’m obsessed.
Baked cheese crunchies - a slightly healthier can version of Cheetos.
Spinach dip in the freezer (with tortilla chips)
The brownie ice cream sandwiches.

The loaded fruit and nut gluten free granola mixed in with the vanilla bean Greek yogurt (purple container) is TO DIE FOR. Best fast breakfast/snack ever.
Zhoug, chicken thighs, roasted peppers in jar. Add all to crockpot, the best dinner
The plantain crisps
The frozen mozzarella stuffed gnocchi cooked in the creamy tomato soup! Add spinach on top
brioche bread, the nut butters, the limeade (great for cocktails or a splash in my seltzer), frozen mashed cauliflower

They recently discontinued my favorite snack, the Philly cheese steak bao buns 💔 but the burrata, prosciutto and arugula pizza is really good. So is their “crunchy slaw” salad.
The mango black tea bags are really good
They’re new but the papa rellenas are delish I also love they honey pretzel sticks (preferably with horseradish or jalapeno pub cheese)
The tirokafteri dip is divine with pita bread 😍
discontinued 😭
WHAT. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I would specifically make trips to TJ’s for it. 😭
The frozen poutine is way better than it has a right to be.
my discovery this week (though you need a couple of extra things) is making a shortcut fresh spring/summer roll with the peanut and crispy noodle salad kit. You need rice paper wrappers (can order on line). Dip the wrapper in hot water very briefly. That's the whole damn store lol
Spicy mochi puffs!!
Full fat European style yogurt.
But did you ever try the mini brie? Don’t get addicted to it as a quick snack like I did. It’s so creamy and delicious!
Get the steamed lentils and a chimichurri. Mix together. It’ll keep for a few days. Served it smeared on toasted bread with a slaw on top. Use it as a dip with crackers. Fill a wrap with it. So versatile and so good.
The cold pressed pineapple juice! It tastes amazing, is perfect on its own or for a cocktail, and contains 7g of fiber somehow!
I eat the tapenade way too fast
I never hear talk about the Jamaican beef patties. They get so nice and crisp in the air fryer.
Maybe not under rated but I will always leave with the frozen chana masala
milk choco peanut butter cups. these are why I actually go to TJs. mango nectar. and I don't even rly like juice
I love the vegan tzatziki!
Me too!! It's better than their non-vegan one!
The frozen almond croissants. Even when I don’t remember to leave them out overnight 🤌
I honestly don’t know if these are underrated but I haven’t met anyone irl who said they get these as well: • Braised Beef Roast (in demi glaze sauce; fully cooked) - Really soft and rich, great for when I don’t feel like cooking more than just a couple of diff veggies. Dolmas. Grocery aisle. In a can. Delish.
The garlic and pesto frozen pizza, the olive fougasse bread, chili onion crunch jar, peanut bamba puffs
the red box frozen mac and cheese is the bomb, i also love their 6 pack yogurt cups, usually either mango and peach or strawberry and banana. their everything bagel sandwich crackers are also really good too
Those 6pk cups of yogurt are soooo good!
forgot to add the party meatballs, its a yellow and blue bag with multi colored writing
The party meatballs are an absolute STAPLE in our house. Alone with some melted havarti, with pasta, in a sammy….
The frozen green curry meal is my favorite. People avoid it because of the tofu sheets. Nothing is better than that on a cold day when you're under the weather. For the snacks I would definitely say the Onion Chips. They're so freaking good.

next time! they come out really good, they don't taste like overcooked frozen veggies at all if you follow the instructions :)
I like the canned grape leaves! I dip them in the creamy pasta sauce and it’s delish
Yes! "Dolma" is the brand
Their frozen diner Mac n cheese has no business being that good
Could not agree more!! So. Damn. Good!
If you like tahini or like making hummus, their organic tahini is top-notch.
Grilled olives, smoked trout , gyro meat, vegan pesto
One of the best deals imo is the bag of frozen buffalo chicken wings
How did you prepare them? I tried these once and they were so fatty and didn’t crisp up 😭 maybe the air fryer would crisp them up better, I just use the oven according to packaging.
I’ve tried this a few times and put them in their air fryer to make them crispy, but they are definitely very heavy on the skin/fat.
Also the orange and cranberry scones. I keep them in the freezer to have on hand whenever I want one 🙂
The one thing we always always have and isn’t the same from anywhere else is the heirloom rainbow carrots.
I like putting those and the rainbow cherry tomatoes out at parties
Yessss and baby bell peppers in multicolors, or sliced big ones… best veggie trays ever!
Do the rainbow carrots taste different than regular carrots? Do you roast them or eat them raw? I want to try them, but they've been out of stock at our local TJ's the past couple times I looked for them.

I just got them today after forgetting about them for years. *I’m sorry, Mini Cheese Sammich Crackers! It won’t happen again!* 😭
The chocolate almond butter cups!!!! SO GOOD!
The brown butter salted caramel biscotti. I've polished off 4 packs in about a month. 😬 Better with coffee.
I bought their new chocolate nut bars (Kind bars?) yesterday and really enjoyed the almond peanut one
I tried the refrigerated chile and cheese tamales based on refrigerated from this sub and I really enjoyed them! Edited typo!
Ok I read on this sub that the refrigerated ones weren’t good but I had just bought some. I begrudgingly heated them up and was prepared to be disappointed but I LOVED THEM!
Lol I read the opposite! I had tried the frozen ones in a different flavor and wasn't impressed. I enjoyed these and will be getting them again
I prefer the frozen version :)
Hoo boy.
😱
The beef and broccoli is one of my favorites for years now, along with Indian food. Siracha tofu is a freat staple and I use the refrigerated garlic spread allll the time

I haven't tried that. Adding it to my shopping list for my next visit!

So sad the chicken burgers are discontinued
You should add this to my mash-ups post!
Obsessed with the vanilla cookie wafers!
Five Seed Almond Bars & Trail Mix Crackers. I am not a fan of raisins at all & both of these have them as an ingredient but they are ground up & mixed in for the bars and completely dried & sweet on the crackers.
These are perfection!
I don’t know what it is but I eat that chicken pesto wrap, cold, like twice a week

$5 Prosecco?
The trail mix that's just almonds, cashews, and dark chocolate. So simple, so delicious!
there is one with cherries also
Chile spiced pineapple! Perfect summer treat! Sweet, spicy, savoury, and healthy!
Careful with the healthy idea, it has an enormous amount of sugar sadly 😅
Was the beef birria in the meat department? My husband loves birria, but it's a lot of work to make from scratch.
I got mine at the sample table. But I’m pretty sure they keep it in the frozen section.
Was this cheeseless?
The samples did not have cheese but mine did.
Thank you, I was just wondering since you didn't mention any. I can't have a quesadilla without cheese
Yeah I totally forgot got to mention it but I agree! Quesadillas have to have cheese!
Snacky clusters are absolute crack to me
I can’t buy these because I will just stand at the counter saying “just a couple more” til like half the bag is gone 🤣
I love the gummy lobsters more than Swedish Fish, which I also love (just don't tell the Swedes).
They are so good!
I've literally eaten the tapenade with a spoon 😂😂 so good

People who don’t keep apples in the fridge can’t be trusted.

Pasta bake. Fresh ravioli, jar of pasta sauce, shredded mozzarella. Layer and bake like a lasagna. Takes 5 minutes to make.
I’m a sauce queen but that stuff is so good I usually just eat it over plain jasmine rice and call it a night!
This option works as well. It is sooo good you don’t need all the extra stuff.
Dates with peanut butter
Frozen Sweet Potato Fries Chocolate Croissants
My holy grail easy weekday meal is Shawarma chicken + marinated chickpeas + tomato/feta/whatever toppings over a salad mix using 50% cruciferous crunch and 50% mixed greens. I’m going to try this! I just discovered the chickpeas you speak of, and made a simple salad out of those with cucumber, red onion, and the herbed feta. That’s it.

The Bruschetta is top notch! 🧑🍳
