The first time I saw that I gasped. I wish they would have leaned into that story line a little more. First Ricky, then maybe an episode or two with Bubbles, then at least one more Sunnyvale-ite to finish it off.

That was actually a Zellers, despite being blurred for copyrights' sake it was still easy to recognize the store due to its fascia, the episode was made 9 years before the franchise got the axe sadly ! At the time they were still booming and being relevant, any Canadians fans here would know what I'm talking about, I find it always nostalgic to see that scene as I miss the Zellers ! 😃
Oh that's awesome, if you want to see locations in real life you should go in Nova-Scotia ! Sadly some of the places doesn't exist no more like the Penhorn mall in the early seasons (the one where Ricky was hired as a mall cop and humourously Bubbles pushing the carts down the hill) but I can assure locations like the mall in the later seasons where there was a fictional hobby store, in real life that's the Truro mall which I've been there myself, I find it hilarious to recognize the place !
Sadly Zellers was closed down back in March of 2013 as now it has been already 11 years, if you have no idea what kind of stores they were I would say they were kind of in between a Kmart and a Target, ironically both of the latters also had tried to have their slice in the Canadian economy and failed miserably. I'm too young to remember the Kmarts in Canada or hell I think they were shut down a few months after I was born, older Canadians would know what I'm talking about, I've been to Kmarts in Florida though ! And of course we've also had Target that attempted to replace the Zellers and it failed miserably not even lasting two years, one of the major reasons why the Zellers had failed was because their mainframe (stock, orders, etc) was really ancient and couldn't keep up with Walmart, I remember myself going to the stores in the later years and it was often messy, I actually miss that as in a way it was kind of fun !
Interestingly the Zellers was mentioned in season 8 when Cory and Jacob attempted to do a trojan shoplift, probably as at the time the franchise was already axed and the boys knew they would get copyright lawsuits but the store they were in I'm pretty sure it was a Foodland ! 😂
