The cheapest and easiest to the catch them unawares while you play the intro to their preferred show. For myself, those first few beats of the G1 TV theme song will instantly take me back to a better time and place. Pretty much any and every buddy of mine would also join in the first couple of verses while inwardly chuckling. It's instinctive, like doing competing Sean Connery impressions.
