Is your hair naturally wavy/curly perchance? I grew up being told my hair was straight and dealt with a lot of unrulyness and frizz until learning I actually had a wavier curl pattern and changed the way I took care of my hair to reflect that.
when i brought my waves back, my hair suddenly parted a lot nicer and just looked better when letting it fall, im not sure if thats the case here but it looks like you might actually have wavy hair
not sure what gap you mean? but it’d likely help your hair to not be so dramatically parted- the side part suits you, but splitting that side closer to the center of your forehead helps you hair be more balanced-looking
You can use style spray or gel. It’s not permanent but you can control it. Maybe after a while you’ll force the follicles to move so no more part
