I'd make sure I understood why they wanted you to avoid weed to begin with. Intuitively it makes sense that smoking is specifically the reason and its not so much the weed itself, but maybe there are other physiological effects from using weed that might impact it. Like I still get cotton mouth while doing edibles, plus I might become a bit careless and forget I shouldn't be munching down on a bunch of stuff.
It's not that they want you to avoid weed
They want you to avoid sucking on stuff so you don't get a dry socket
Im pretty sure taking edibles would be fine
7 days minimum, many dentists say 10. The issue isn’t the smoke, it’s the suction of inhaling breaking the clot loose. Dry socket is misery you don’t want that.
7 days minimum then after the 7 days if your dieing to smoke you can grav bong it but only a little. Two weeks is when I ripped a bong carefully. Just recently went through this. And was terrified of dry socket.
Pro tip get RSO and take huge doses( only if you have a good tolerance, otherwise rice grain it) and you will sleep for 10 hours if struggling to sleep with pain/no smokable weed.
What’s RSO mate? Had my wisdom extracted today and can’t smoke and won’t sleep now for days it seems. Did try and Google RSO but only the football team came up
Rick Simpson oil! It’s a full spectrum extract of a whole cannabis plant. It’s the only edible that works for me besides avb or just straight decarbed bud.
Be careful with it if you are sensitive to edible thc the stuff can be incredibly strong.
What you should know is that its the suction that causes dry socket, not the smoke itself. So, if you can find a way to inhale smoke without creating suction in your mouth, you are golden.
Although I'd probably wait until your gauze stops being bloody at least.
I either use vape pens (when on the go) or volcano (when at home) and this would be a great job for volcano bags. Can just push the nozzle with your fingies and inhale the vapor like you’re breathing normally. I do that all the time when I’m trying not to get lip balm on the nozzle.
It’s honestly great, 0 complaints. We had one for years that something in the temp gauge died and it wouldn’t heat up, and ended up getting another digital because it’s a really excellent dry herb vape.
Wow, surprised I had to scroll down so far to see the correct answer.
I've smoked after getting a tooth pulled every time and never had an issue. If your pipe or bong is so clogged that you have to suck hard to get a hit then you haven't been cleaning it nearly enough. If you're smoking a joint just roll it a little loose.
i smoked 3 days after jaw surgery. it did no harm as its all good now but my whole face felt tingly as fuck. not really pleasant at all would not recommend
lol. I’ve smoked within 2 hours of having a tooth removed. Cover the site with gauze, smoke on the opposite side of your mouth then where tooth was extracted. Smoke as little as possible. Pray you don’t get dry socket
You should definitely wait probably a week, dry sockets are incredibly painful(so I’ve heard) even if other people have had luck with smoking shortly after extraction or whatever do you really wanna roll the dice? I myself smoked a day after having my wisdom teeth out, but again, everyone is different and the holes I had weren’t that big
I had a tooth extracted yesterday as well. The care instructions in my hand read "do not smoke or vape *anything* for 2-3 weeks. Do not use oral tobacco for 2-3 weeks".
I didn't smoke at all and still haven't. Got dry socket anyway. The dentist told me there are 2 things that increase your odds of dry socket. 1. Smoking, obviously. 2. Being a woman. Can't really help that one. 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah, mine as well. Also had 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Smoked within 3 days. It is overkill to wait weeks is all I’m saying. Trust your dentist, but you’ll be fine if you don’t wait three weeks
Edibles as soon as you can eat. Sucking pressure irritates the soft tissues so wait like at least, two weeks? You can probably start a couple days shy of the full reccomended two weeks.
I know I shouldn't have but I did smoke from my dry pipe the day after my wisdom tooth extraction against the Dr's orders, but in my case, I can't take pain pills due to allergies so it was the only relief. Lucky I did not experience dry socket.
OBLIGATORY NOT A DOCTOR/DENTIST, just a nerd.
As someone who did smoke after having a tooth out, after youre done with puffing, mix a glass of cold tap water and 2-4tbsp salt. Mix till fully disolved and let it sit, DONT swish it around just tilt your head. After 2 mins dont spit just let it dribble out into a sink. Do this after each smoke to help maintain cleanliness.
Ideally dont smoke at all but if youre going to, this should help prevent excess bacteria growth.
Hey I just had 4 teeth removed. This is good to do after a week or so but this is not a great idea right after your extraction as it loosens the blood clot. Dry socket happens when the clot is dislodged and you have an open gap down to the bone. Wait for a few days (or when your dentist) says it's okay to do salt water rinses.
Huh interesting my dentist told me that its fine as long as you dont swish it around, but what you said makes plenty of sense aswell. Probably just different medical guidelines n all that

I had an abscessed tooth last Summer. The idea is to not create negative pressure inside your mouth. I used my vape pen and I wouldn't close my mouth completely so air could come in around the mouthpiece and then breathed in just strong enough to activate the pen and get a good sip of vape. It worked fine. If you are unsure don't risk it.
I had an abscess in November and had to have two teeth pulled. I tag teamed a bong with my husband. He'd light the bowl and pull, and I would sip the smoke out lol. But mostly I was consuming edibles lol.
Same day. Alreast have the gauze out so a few hours after the surgery to close up . I’ve never had a dry socket, gotten plenty of teeth pulled. Was smoking blunts at the time, more
Pipe these days. Dry socket is all based on suction issues. I just never pulled too hard on the blunt and avoided straws for a couple days. Never had issues.
i smoked same day….. just gargle some warm salt water and you should be good…..
at least i was or just got lucky…..
i’m also a tobacco smoker
not sure if that helps with deciding
This shit sucks but it worked when I was young and had my wisdom teeth out. Other than that, I very lightly puffed on a one hitter with gauze in my mouth and never got a dry socket. I think I did a salt water rinse after. Probably wouldn't risk it, especially if you can get edibles.
This here. In my not so great teen years, thats how I smoked my cigs after wisdom teeth removal. Then later in life a volcano bag to the nose after removing the other two. Worked out alright but probably not recommended. Mileage may vary.
Just went through this with a rear molar. I was good to smoke after about 5 days. I put some gauze over the spot for the first few days of smoking and that did help.
I smoked a spoon bowl with the carb cap open after getting my wisdom teeth out. Just covering the carb halfway to not create a strong enough vacuum in your mouth.
There are those cart bongs that will actually move the air for you and eject smoke out the top.
I actually got my top right wisdom tooth extracted 8 days ago.
For the first 4 days I stuck strictly to edibles, and then decided to take a bong rip on day 5. Didn’t give me dry socket but the anxiety and the pain from the smoke freaked me out. Absolutely regretted it. Stick to edibles.
Last night I hit a joint but with very little suction, kept my mouth open wide and breathed in air along with the joint. Feel fine today.
If you’re gonna smoke, be absolutely sure there is no suction. Dry socket is no joke. Maybe a Grav Bong where it pushes the smoke out at you to inhale normally, but I’d still err on the side of caution.
My advice is to wait at least 6-7 days, depending on the tooth and how the extraction went of course.
A dry socket is some of the worst pain I’ve ever had in my life. Every time I woke up I screamed and cried for my mom (who was a dental assistant) to come give me the pain pills so I could pass back out. And I did everything right with my mom there helping me. And I didn’t smoke anything at the time anyway. So I was just one unlucky fucker who got it for no reason. Like others are saying wait at least a week unless you want to risk that hell. It’s not worth it. I think the recommendation I had was no drinking from straws or smoking or suction of any kind for 7-10 days.

Get some edibles with CBG in them. When I had a wisdom tooth pulled it was the only thing that helped because I certainly wasn't gonna be taking Norcos for a week.
At the very minimum, 72 hours. It’s better to wait a week. You do not want to end up with dry socket just bc you couldnt take a break. Gauze might help but there’s still the chance you could dislodge the blood clot. Don’t smoke until you have no pain and the area has healed. Aside from the blood clot and dry socket worry, your mouth is vulnerable and smoking is dirty. Keep your mouth as clean as possible , don’t smoke right now.
i had an upper wisdom tooth removed last week and i was able to use my vape like 3 days after but i made sure to just put some gauze on the socket and avoid inhaling with the left side of my mouth everyone says the lower teeth are more sensitive though
I had a bunch of teeth removed last month so I built a 3rd lung out of a 2-litre coke bottle and a bread bag, it did all the suction for me, I was taking hits the next day no problem lol.
I waited 3 days before even lightly puffing on a vape. And 4 days before I took very shallow pulls from a rig. Got dry socket anyway and was pretty painful and not fun. I recommend just taking a week
1 week minimum. Go with edibles
I got a dry socket from smoking after getting a tooth pulled
Crazy pain not worth blazing
If you have a volcano or another vapor creator you may be good just don't draw/pull on anything. Straws for drinking are bad too
Good luck
Have someone roll a blunt and shotgun hits for you. Nice steady stream no suction since your just breathing in
Really the important part is to make sure you don't create a vacuum in your mouth. I found bongs worked pretty well. Very little issue, probably due to the large opening vs a bowl.
I made sure to cover the holes with cotton soaked in water. Helped keep them cleaner and stopped any risk.
Most people here will tell you not to smoke, it helped take the edge off for me. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed in my 30s and it wouldn't have been bad if the first dentist had actually known what she was doing and wasn't watching TV at the same time.
Gf has had more dental work and extractions done than anyone I know, we do the same stuff for her. Never had any issues with dry socket except when she tried to smoke a bowl
I've always smoked but did so cautiously. I'm not advising you to do so, just that I did. I'd barely suck at all. I'm addicted to cigarettes so I was smoking regardless
Story time: 19 years old, enlisted soldier, time for the wisdom teeth to come out. Hit the base dentist, he pulls em and says "okay, now no smoking for 24 hrs min". What ever, Major, I'm highspeedlowdragfulltiltboogieforfreedomandjustice so on my way out of the clinic I'm sucking down a Marlboro.
Lemme tell you- you do NOT want four dry sockets.
Next morning sick call I'm first in line at the dentist. He see me, starts chuckling, and as he's repacking my mouth he's giving me shit the whole time... "If I had a dime for every private who didn't listen..."
It's about suction. Use a bag, edible whatever to avoid putting suction on your mouth.
I would wait a minimum of 48 hrs, but I never had any issues after that.
I used to take "nose hits" where you just hit a bowl with your nostril... Like "French Inhale" but with a bowl. It worked but wasn't the most tasty hits I've ever had.
Source; me, an old-assed stoner who due to genetics and IHB/Military dentists had all his teeth pulled in various stages over the last 20 years.
I mean, I got 2 wisdom teeth removed and smoked in the car on my way back home, not saying it was smart but, here I am, still alive. I did take smaller drags than usual tho, and I did feel the flesh not agreeing with the suction going on in my mouth. I just held it a bit in front of my mouth and inhaled to fix that. Coughed out a bit of lung in the process but let’s not argue about semantics.
Minimum wait 48 hours, my boyfriend got a dry socket after drinking black coffee and a soda 3 days post his last wisdom tooth removal due to the acidity of both dissolving the blood clot. Even then his pain was minimal, we just used a mix of clove and rosemary oil on the gauze he used to cover the wound. It will still close, just slower unless you develop rot.
To get around the no smoking thing I'd load a chamber for my boyfriend and then he'd lightly pull from the bong.
I waited about an hour. Make sure you’re changing your gauze regularly and recognize that if you smoke you have a higher chance of developing dry socket which apparently hurts really f’n bad.
I took a hit of my dynavap as I was driving away from the clinic lol. This was after wisdom teeth removal. I googled the shit out of it but I knew it wasn’t gonna affect me going into work tomorrow (the teeth removal that is) so I wanted to make the most of the remainder of my day off.
I did pack a bit of extra gauze over it.
Inb4 you can’t drive blazed so I must not have been able to also for the past 15 years.
For the love of God op please wait for 7 days or 14. You do not want a dry socket. That happened to me when I got my wisdom tooth pulled, and I was miserable.
2 teeth out last year and carried on smoking 3 or 4 times a day from the day of the extraction
Got one dry socket that thankfully wasn't do painful and the other time was fine
I know I got super lucky though so if you can I'd probably leave it at least a day or 2 and then try to be as open mouthed as possible with it
The suction of a joint like a straw is whats dislodging the clot

I had a wisdom tooth extracted earlier in the week. I waited three and a half days and used a gravity bong and my mouth fully open to inhale. I got nicotine patches to help while not smoking cigarettes. My dentist told me it is mostly the suction that causes a dry socket, however smoke in general can dry out your mouth ganja even more so. Cottonmouth applies to edibles as well,so stay hydrated. He also said they can happen on their own as well if you’re not careful and for various other reasons.
I smoked after three days with gauze covering the hole (72 hrs) After day 4 I smoked normally i started seeing the hole get smaller by day 5 the pain will either be little to none or gone Im on day 7 the hole is nearly closed and I'm not going through any pain at all Hey if you a smoker just smoke but wait at least 72 hours and you good wear your gauze dont go to hard hit it lightly after day 4 if you see that hole closing smoke normally its healing you good
PS . Remember everyone experience is different so you might heal faster or slower than me I don't know I'm just sharing how my experience was and what I did
And after you eat wash your mouth out gently with warm water and salt you got a hole in your mouth so food will get in leaving food in there can cause a infection
I smoke cigs and never got dry socket so far. I just wait until the bleeding is almost done (light pink) then I dip a gauze in saline bite down gently making sure it's covered then light salt rise after. Just don't pull hard
Doctors recommend a week, I did 5 days, really 72 hours should be the minimum cuz then your risk of dry socket is significantly lower. Anything before that and you got a pretty high risk
That advice is literally what two separate dentists have told me. 72 hours is what most dentists will say, this last time I was told 5 days. Wisdom teeth has a much higher risk for dry socket. Maxillary teeth, your risk is much lower.
Did this recently. As long as you don’t “pull too hard” smoking a cig is way different to a bowl. But again, I hear a dry socket is hell. But yeah, I risked it after a few hours and was fine
I walked right out of the office after having extractions and had a cigarette. I went home and smoked a bowl.
I also know how to do it without giving myself a dry socket.
I got my Wisdom teeth removed a few years ago and smoked like 1 hour after were removed. Never had a problem. My dentist said if im a Smoker(talking about tobacco) i should rather smoke than not cause it also stresses the body because of the withdrawal.
I’ve always done it basically right when I’m able to smoke. I’ve always had the worry about dry socket in the back of my mind, but fortunately never had to worry about it. All people are different so it’s impossible to say. As others have already said though, I’d use other ROAs for a few days or so, if possible. However, if not, my ass is saying fuck it and getting stoned by whatever means necessary.
Idk I had 4 teeth extracted and never stopped smoking weed or nicotine. Never got a dry socket I would say bong is a bad idea I'd use a bowl and lightly hit it
Just don’t use too much pressure when you hit a vape or pipe. Just be ginger with it. I smoke the same day after a tooth extraction but I used a vape pen and the least amount of suction possible. If you’re paranoid about it wait 3-5 days. Should be good to go by then. I was healed up in less than a week.
I've done it 24 hrs after, go slow don't pull hard or huge cones, take like 5 attempts at one bowl if necessary, rinse mouth after not swishing water around just let it go over your extraction and then let it drain out.
If you have the option, you could do edibles until the 5-7 days pass. Dry socket is in fact terrible though, def avoid.
Had double dry socket first day after wisdom teeth extraction. Easily the worst pain of my life.
Agreed, don't risk smoking.
![gif](giphy|XKk0wjclrcZfW) try a grav, be smart, good luck
I'd make sure I understood why they wanted you to avoid weed to begin with. Intuitively it makes sense that smoking is specifically the reason and its not so much the weed itself, but maybe there are other physiological effects from using weed that might impact it. Like I still get cotton mouth while doing edibles, plus I might become a bit careless and forget I shouldn't be munching down on a bunch of stuff.
It's not that they want you to avoid weed They want you to avoid sucking on stuff so you don't get a dry socket Im pretty sure taking edibles would be fine
Ok then that would be totally fine! As a general rule, especially when it comes to health/medical stuff I just error on not making assumptions.
7 days minimum, many dentists say 10. The issue isn’t the smoke, it’s the suction of inhaling breaking the clot loose. Dry socket is misery you don’t want that.
This is the answer, don't smoke

I just realised I hadn’t said thank you. But thank you!
You are so welcome, I hope your toothless hole(s) heals quick.
Just don't. Dry socket is hell. Get an edible.
I've had dry socket. Do not smoke until healed.
Exactly. If you do go see dentist
Take this as a forced tolerance break.
Take this as a sign you're addicted
Addicted is scrolling through Reddit to find the few good stories of people smoking and not getting dry socket 🤣😭

I don't think I've ever really heard anyone complain about it unless they are looking at the price tag lol.
My off brand has been around 2 decades almost. Still hittin like new!
What brand did you go with? Was it cheaper?
Wow, surprised I had to scroll down so far to see the correct answer. I've smoked after getting a tooth pulled every time and never had an issue. If your pipe or bong is so clogged that you have to suck hard to get a hit then you haven't been cleaning it nearly enough. If you're smoking a joint just roll it a little loose.
Edible immediately. Capsule preferred for no chew.
don’t smoke. I smoked a week after a tooth extraction and still ended up going to the hospital w a dry socket
If you have a significant other, have them take a pretty large hit off a bowl and have them blow it in your mouth.
I smoked through my nose after having my wisdom teeth removed. It stings, but better than dry socket I guess.
Roll a joint and stick it right up on in there
I do this on occasion for the hell of it. Sinus tokes hit different.
I’ve had it help clear up a sinus infection/reduce sinus pain.
That it definitely does. Especially helpful when I have to deal with allergies
My man you are fucking hard core. I wouldn’t ever have considered this.
Sounds like addiction
i smoked 3 days after jaw surgery. it did no harm as its all good now but my whole face felt tingly as fuck. not really pleasant at all would not recommend
dont do it OP. just wait the 10 days at minimum. listen to your body but dont be fooled by optimism. edibles or nothing
At least a week
lol. I’ve smoked within 2 hours of having a tooth removed. Cover the site with gauze, smoke on the opposite side of your mouth then where tooth was extracted. Smoke as little as possible. Pray you don’t get dry socket
How long did you smoke with gauzes before you could smoke without them
I believe the dentist said 72 hours. Keep it a brick I smoked as soon as I got home from the appointment with guazes in my mouth lol. But 72 hours

That’s overkill. A few days is fine.
Are you a dentist?
No, but had a deep rooted molar pulled a few months ago.
What a coinkidink, I had a deep rooted molar pulled Wednesday, and these instructions are directly from the dentist.
I’m not a dentist but 2-3 weeks is definitely over kill , 1 week and you’re good , 10 days if it wasn’t erupted
I didn't smoke at all and still haven't. Got dry socket anyway. The dentist told me there are 2 things that increase your odds of dry socket. 1. Smoking, obviously. 2. Being a woman. Can't really help that one. 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah you can’t really help that one , when I had my wisdoms out I waited a week to smoke , but I got dry socket anyway on day 3 from infection
Yeah, mine as well. Also had 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Smoked within 3 days. It is overkill to wait weeks is all I’m saying. Trust your dentist, but you’ll be fine if you don’t wait three weeks
You can’t go a little bit without weed?
I’m trying 💀
Edibles as soon as you can eat. Sucking pressure irritates the soft tissues so wait like at least, two weeks? You can probably start a couple days shy of the full reccomended two weeks.
It's going to hurt when you take a hit. Just wait and have edibles or tincture. You could tincture in your water and get high.
Dry socket is terrible, please don't set back your healing just to smoke. That being said, you ever roll a joint and smoke it through your nose?
I know I shouldn't have but I did smoke from my dry pipe the day after my wisdom tooth extraction against the Dr's orders, but in my case, I can't take pain pills due to allergies so it was the only relief. Lucky I did not experience dry socket.
Shove some paper towels in your mouth & force it down on said area. It’s not the easiest thing 2 do but worked 4 me
I’d go a week. Oral pain is excruciating and I wouldn’t risk it. Plus the bonus of getting extra high after that week will be nice anyway.
OBLIGATORY NOT A DOCTOR/DENTIST, just a nerd. As someone who did smoke after having a tooth out, after youre done with puffing, mix a glass of cold tap water and 2-4tbsp salt. It's true they all offer a little bit different advice. We're both not dentists so idk why I decided to write anything LOL BE SAFE
Personally, I've never waited and never got dry socket but thats me

Ngl I did stick my vape pen in my nose. It worked though
I didn’t wait I put a bit of wet tissue around the gum and it was alright, probably best to listen to your dentist though

I smoked on the way home from getting my wisdom teeth pulled.
So did I, but it was still bleeding at that point so there was no risk of pulling the clot that didn't exist yet
Dry vape inhale thru your nostrils

Just went through this with a rear molar. I was good to smoke after about 5 days. I put some gauze over the spot for the first few days of smoking and that did help.
I smoked a spoon bowl with the carb cap open after getting my wisdom teeth out. Just covering the carb halfway to not create a strong enough vacuum in your mouth. There are those cart bongs that will actually move the air for you and eject smoke out the top.
I would say either edibles or hit a weed pen through your nostrils
Dont
Get a bag of gummies and call it a week tbh
Gotta wait a week at the very least. Dry Socket will make you wish you never smoked in your life.
3 years minimum. /s
Listen to your doctors. You have other options. Dry socket is fucking hell.
A week. Don’t be a moron
When I got my wisdom teeth out I smoked by using a vape and inhaling through my nose. The first couple hits sucked but you get used to it pretty fast.

If you xan go without, great. If not, get help lol
At least a few days. As soon as the clots in the socket you can which can be different times foe different people
I don't advise it, but I definitely smoked a chillum through my nose when I was 18 and had my wisdom teeth out.
I got an infection and dry socket smoking too soon.. don’t be an idiot like me and wait
Get some edibles with CBG in them. When I had a wisdom tooth pulled it was the only thing that helped because I certainly wasn't gonna be taking Norcos for a week.
I waited a week personally, I heard that shit HURTS
The tooth needs time to cure before it can be smoked I’d give it a day or two until it’s dry but not crumbly
I had a bunch of teeth removed last month so I built a 3rd lung out of a 2-litre coke bottle and a bread bag, it did all the suction for me, I was taking hits the next day no problem lol.
Just keep the gauze there and take light hits, 2 teeth extracted no dry socket
I waited 3 days before even lightly puffing on a vape. And 4 days before I took very shallow pulls from a rig. Got dry socket anyway and was pretty painful and not fun. I recommend just taking a week
A dude I follow on instagram was taking nose dabs after he had his wisdom teeth removed last year.
The trick is to smoke, then if it hurts just keep smoking
Smoke through your nose.
1 week minimum. Go with edibles I got a dry socket from smoking after getting a tooth pulled Crazy pain not worth blazing If you have a volcano or another vapor creator you may be good just don't draw/pull on anything. Straws for drinking are bad too Good luck
I just inhaled/exhaled thru my nose 😅
Have someone roll a blunt and shotgun hits for you. Nice steady stream no suction since your just breathing in Really the important part is to make sure you don't create a vacuum in your mouth.
Bro just wait the 2 weeks dry socket ain't worth it. Have someone shotgun you or hit a grav if you must
Edibles are the way. Or just decarb your weed and put on a cracker
I made a gravity bong so I didn’t have to actually suck as I could just breathe the smoke in more or less. Didn’t have any issues.
Just hotbox a tipi same as our ancestors did
Call and ask the dentist
"If I had a dime for every private who didn't listen..." It's about suction. Source; me, an old-assed stoner who due to genetics and IHB/Military dentists had all his teeth pulled in various stages over the last 20 years.
seems like you want to do it anyways, go ahead amigo
You should follow the advice of the dentist to the letter.
Tincture to the rescue!
I used a bong btw so I was pulling all that air in and that pulled out the bloodclot.
Follow the instructions on your dental paperwork. I think you do want dry socket, buckaroo.
I used a chillum same day, I packed it super loose and essentially just took a breath in with my mouth by the opening, it worked well.
2 teeth out last year and carried on smoking 3 or 4 times a day from the day of the extraction Got one dry socket that thankfully wasn't do painful and the other time was fine I know I got super lucky though so if you can I'd probably leave it at least a day or 2 and then try to be as open mouthed as possible with it The suction of a joint like a straw is whats dislodging the clot

I smoked after three days with gauze covering the hole (72 hrs) After day 4 I smoked normally i started seeing the hole get smaller by day 5 the pain will either be little to none or gone Im on day 7 the hole is nearly closed and I'm not going through any pain at all Hey if you a smoker just smoke but wait at least 72 hours and you good wear your gauze dont go to hard hit it lightly after day 4 if you see that hole closing smoke normally its healing you good PS .
I will also add, everyone saying dry socket is hell clearly never used oregano oil with carrier oil on their gums and it shows lol
Doctors recommend a week, I did 5 days, really 72 hours should be the minimum cuz then your risk of dry socket is significantly lower. Anything before that and you got a pretty high risk
Nope that is horrible advice
That advice is literally what two separate dentists have told me. 72 hours is what most dentists will say, this last time I was told 5 days. Wisdom teeth has a much higher risk for dry socket. Maxillary teeth, your risk is much lower.
I smoked on the way home, just don't suck it hard, giggity
I waited about 8 hours. I just put a bunch of gauze over the open tooth hole, and rinsed after.
Nose rip a cart. Genuinely what I did after getting wisdom teeth out.
Did this recently. As long as you don’t “pull too hard” smoking a cig is way different to a bowl. But again, I hear a dry socket is hell. But yeah, I risked it after a few hours and was fine
I smoked a blunt as soon as I got home from getting my wisdom tooth pulled. Put a wad of gauze in the hole and had no issues.
I was smoking an hour after having my wisdom teeth pulled. Just make sure to be careful doing it and you'll be ok.
If you can’t go more than 30 hours without smoking you might have a problem. Just wait a week. JFC.
Never got a dry socket I would say bong is a bad idea I'd use a bowl and lightly hit it
Keep your mouth wet,dry socket sucks. I've smoked on the way home from dentist.
