Yeah, I think of it as being similar what happened with craft brewing. Everyone went hop heavy at first and only in the past 5 years have they really started getting into lighter beers like pilsners and kolschs.
All the growers went hard into THC-maxxing, but hopefully will eventually move on to chiller, more 70/30 or 60/40 THC/CBD ratios.

Blue dream is insanely good. Itās weirdly like a weed equivalent to my old ADHD meds. My whole brain quiets down and I can actually like focus and have motivation to do things, Iāll put some blueberry muffin with it to help my stomach issues and itās like the perfect high.
If I could find someone who grows original Sour D, that would be great. But in CA the growers are big companies now and it's a trademark strain that is not the same Sour D I was smoking before we switched to recreational. Same with Headband and White Widow.

The amount of keef I obtained the buds was phenomenal. Haven't gotten my hands on this in the last year sadly. I feel like its obsolete or has been crossed with something else now. But I will continue my search!

I smoked one called Mandarin Sunset that was just so simple, so enjoyable, so....sweet. I felt like I was just blissfully without thought and I just smiled and enjoyed my day. It was like the bud erased every worry, ache, bad memory, fear....and I could just melt into the present moment. It was so nice. I just ran out and that was the only time I ever found that strain :(
I recently picked up some Sour MAC from a dispo and iāll tell you what - no bad highs so far. normally, iād say about every 3rd or 4th time i smoke, my anxiety spikes a little bit no matter what. itās just kind of how i am and ive gotten used to it. but with Sour MAC, ive probably had close to 10 sessions with it and my anxiety has not risen at all and i actually feel a sense of calm.

Cannatonic CBD strain. One of the best I've smoked of all time.
If you want a mellow high without any anxiety or overthinking try mixing some hemp in with your weed. The CBD does wonders to counterbalance the THC.

Skunk#1, but haven't seen it in almost 30 years, really hoping someone has some seeds stored that would still sprout, or Xmas Tree Buds every year around Xmas, these 2 strains has such a unique smell, look & taste, it'll be a fond memory from the 80'/90's, & all who got to try these sadly lost strains

A friend took some back from California to North Carolina in 1988, gave me some, saying "split this 4 ways between 4 people". It was fluorescent green, glowing in the dark almost. So another friend and I smoked the whole thing. We were unable to move for a while, and I could not operate the remote control to change the music, so we listened to Led Zeppelin III 3 times. I have no clue what it was, but I wish it was all like that.

Had this stuff called Mello Yello.. Made me giggle so fucking hard. It was almost like taking a bunch of shrooms. Neither me nor my s/o could stop laughing. Best. Weed. Ever. (When you're not going out in public lmao)
I smoked one called Mandarin Sunset that was just so simple, so enjoyable, so....sweet. I felt like I was just blissfully without thought and I just smiled and enjoyed my day. It was like the bud erased every worry, ache, bad memory, fear....and I could just melt into the present moment. It was so nice. I just ran out and that was the only time I ever found that strain :(

I recently picked up some Sour MAC from a dispo and iāll tell you what - no bad highs so far. normally, iād say about every 3rd or 4th time i smoke, my anxiety spikes a little bit no matter what. itās just kind of how i am and ive gotten used to it. but with Sour MAC, ive probably had close to 10 sessions with it and my anxiety has not risen at all and i actually feel a sense of calm.

Queen Mother Goji used to get me absolutely blasted to outer space a few years back. This could be cliche, but I always enjoy Pineapple Express when I get that. Just a smooth smoke and I always felt great after. Sadly most weed strains seem to hit about the same these days. Smoke too much, tolerance is shit.
