You might want to take the rear derailleur/hanger off. My rear hanger snapped once when I packed my bike like that in this box, even though the bike felt securely in place. Luckily it didn’t happen on the way to my race. Good luck and nice bike!
This case has the bike suspended upside down so no weight is on the derailleur. I wrap mine in bubble wrap and have been fine the past few times I've flown with my bike. I also have this exact case and bike and have not had issues.
One thing to note is that I generally have NOTHING in my bike case aside from the bike itself. No shoes, no tools no helmet or anything else. It is just slightly overweight for "normal" luggage limits with most US airlines. International flights might be different.
That’s a neat box. How much do it cost?
AlanBikeBox, about 800€
Who is Alan and why does he have such a monopoly on bike boxes?
Alan Wake, you heard of him
Because he makes the best ones
And worth every single cent, or pence as it were.
absolutely, perfect product. No worries when checking in the bike whatsoever.
For me including shipping from UK to US and taxes was almost $1500.

Or rear derailleur at least and place it between chain stays wrapped in bubble wrap.
I thought about it, but I usually do more damage when I turn a wrench than any baggage handler can do.
Why pick Luxembourg out of all possible races in Europe?
I second this as a Lux resident
It’s actually a super nice bike course.
Good to hear!
I have friends that live nearby in Germany. Wanted to visit them.
Great idea packing the sea sucker rack!
Wish you all the best with the race.
Good luck! Rode the bike course once, really liked it! Enjoy your stay in Luxembourg!

Hahahaha! Bruh, yes
Good luck on the race!
See you tomorrow!
What was your thoughts?
Lovely rain for a lovely swim 😂 otherwise quite good I think. Post-race organization was quite chaotic tho. And you?
Yup! That rain was NUTS!
