Speaking as a prof elsewhere, if the class is of a reasonable size, I’d have no clue you were there. But it’s still appropriate to ask.

Classes are relatively small for the most part but most profs would be happy to have you sit in on lectures. Just drop by their office or shoot an email and ask. Faculty are approachable and just happy to have students that want to learn.
