if you can get past the first few stages of jump academy then you're already ahead of 90% of the playerbase who never tried.
past that, the vast majority of rocket jump training has nothing to do with any practical skills you'd need to know in real games. its "just" teaching you fancy jumps to use on fancy jump maps. but by learning these advanced tricks you get a greater understanding of fundamental mechanics such as air control, how fast your rockets move, pogo timing, things like that. practicing advanced tricks really forces you out of any bad habits you pick up and drives you to master the very basics.
learn what is possible by learning basicis and fundementals in jump academy.
the rest is gaining proficiency with the basics and gaining map knowledge for what jumps you can do, aka just load up a private server with a map you want to practice and just try taking many routes to the same spots (usually high traffic areas) or practicing jumps you want to use
just search jump academy 2 in community server browser
or let me know what region you are so i can give a better conection (or you can just join and now that you have downloaded the map you can just load it up in your own private server)
Jump Academy! You'll be able to get usable experience in real matches without having to learn very dificult stuff such as speed-pogos or sync. Try to beat the basics and the first easy maps a few times, the wall-course in jump academy will help you a lot to navigate through a map.
Practice, go to jump servers, no other advice to give really as it's 99% muscle memory.
