Dirt and static. Wet clean every record you buy before playing, especially new ones, they’re filthy. Then store properly, poly inner sleeves at bare minimum, paper sleeves will just get your clean records dirty again.
A cheap static solution is a plasma lighter, just do a few turns with that before/after setting on the platter.
Hi, thanks for the response.
Ok so I never clean new records, that's true. And I use polypropylene but for outer covers. So I need to buy some protection for the record directly you mean?
So you suggest it's s most probably dirt that I am not avoiding/cleaning right?
I have the same amp,and I am constantly getting static through the right speaker. I thought it was the vinyl, but it's not . Unplugged everything from the amp and in the room but still getting static. I have even Unplugged the router near by. Any one have any suggestions please?
