I'm fine with multiple artists I like releasing the same day. Still, as a charts nerd, it bums me out just a little that Blurryface will be their only #1 album (freaking Star is Born, man).

Why does that matter at all. My second favorite band Cage the Elephant is releasing the same day but why would I be upset about that? If it’s people worrying about streaming numbers then that shouldn’t matter
Cage the elephant is smaller than tøp by a considerable amount. Billie... is the only thing I see standing in the way of another #1 album.

It just sucks knowing that the #1 is so instantly snatched away. That being said it could happen with any date and they just happened to be unlucky. Would have been awesome to have Blurryface and Clancy both get #1 exactly 9 years apart though.
I’m also a huge Billie fan so getting new music from her has me excited!!! Plus all of the other artists I didn’t realize were releasing that day too. It’s been an amazing year for music so far but not amazing for my bank account haha.
I was really hoping for another #1... My hopes are crushed, almost.
I'm hoping the vinyl sales can make up some of the numbers... But honestly, that's unrealistic.

I love that people are upset about two musicians dropping music that same day. There are thousands and thousands of musicians and 366 days this year. The odds that multiple albums release the same day are pretty high
I doubt Clancy gets pushed back, especially with it realizing the same date as blurryface 9 year anniversary I would imagine that date is pretty set in stone
They could easily move the release date forward a week and secure the #1 but like you said it’s symbolic so the chances of that are next to none. I’d rather have the symbolic release date than the #1 though.
Cage The Elephant is also releasing their new album on the same day. It will be a great day for me.

Just saw them Live in Minneapolis when they opened for two door cinema club, they were awesome!!
I saw them live in 2022 for the cleanse tour, and I truly wish they could open for TOP. Their sound meshes so well

music will still be good, number 1 album doesn't do much but make the suits a little more money
Fun fact: my birthday is May 18th so within that span of 48 hours I not only get to listen to new TØP music, but I also get older.

Yeah but when you consider the fact that most people drop albums every 2-4 years, it is kinda crazy how many albums are coming soon
