I know I'm in the minority on this opinion, but I couldn't really get into trench outside of a couple songs..

Same. After SAI I like trench, but the album never really jumped out at me at first. SAI made me a top fan and now I’ve been to two concerts if you count the movie which doesn’t count
SAI was good, but it just felt a bit lacking. Needed a little more oomph in some songs. No Chances was great, but some of the others just needed something. So, while I didn’t hate it, it certainly wasn’t their best.
No Chances is probably my favorite song off SAI, with Redecorate and Formidable a close 2 and 3 (very unpopular i know lol). I once had a friend shuffle all of TØP, and she was SOOOO freaked out with the heavy synths and deep chanting of No Chances tho lol
I don't understand the hate for Formidable. Is it because he's kind of pitchy at times? I love that about him. He sounds really nasally and unrefined, but he's really worked it into his music well. He has such a unique voice, and he definitely hasn't tried to push it into territory where it doesn't belong. Some of my favorite singers have made the mistake of choosing the wrong genre, and, in my opinion, it just makes their great vocal technique sound worse because of the change in production and soundscape.
i’m honestly not sure why people don’t like it. personally, i just love all of the love songs he makes lol. tear in my heart, smithereens, the craving, formidable. they’re some of my favorite songs from them tbh. but yeah, i agree that he has such a unique voice. it’s so well suited for the music that they make
