Would love to write a basic melody noodling around on my guitar or synth and then have it turn it into a full blown song with all the other instruments. That would be nuts and save a lot of time.
Would seriously change so much about the process. It'd be like coming up with a concept, then handing it off to a group of professional songwriters and seeing what they come up with. Would be amazing, lol.
Its the musical equivalent of shooting some vague idea at Claude or ChatGPT and them understanding and expanding upon it. Super amazing. I just did not think we were going to advance this fast. Cannot wait for some advancements to reach game development and unreal engine.
It lets you upload audio but compared to Udio and Suno the quality isn't great. I did upload a few tracks of me humming, or of simple one instrument instrumentals, but it doesn't seem to have "context awareness" and just threw in random notes that sounded awful.
I want this just so I can clip off that annoying .5 second bit of hallucination at the end of the track that ruins any further attempts to extend the song.
I've tried regenerating hundreds of times to try and get something just as good or better to no avail. Simple editing tools would be awesome.
I agree. This is an amazing tool, and I've already made some really cool stuff with it, but I find it very frustrating how little control I actually have over what it makes. This capability is still in its infancy. I want to be able to describe how the song should go in musical terminology, and of course, actually supplying melodies and chord progressions will go a long way to making this tool even better.
I know you can do that with StableAudio, and I think Sunauto, although it often doesn’t give results that you want.
I think most of these products have left that option out because people will upload copyrighted music. They probably have to work on Moderation first so that those tracks aren’t uploaded.
Some form of audio in painting would be good. Select portion of track and have AI do it again, maybe change lyrics or add break with prompt. I’m sure it will all happen in a few months.

Separate channels would be awesome too so you could keep the music unchanged while changing just the lyrics.

Why just MIDI? I want to toss it a guitar or bass track and have it add on. I need to make use of the rack of guitars in my office...
getting MIDI out of it would be also great for me, even if it was just a basic melody, chords and bass track.

AIVA is a midi-based AI music generator. I'm not sure to what extent though.
