I'm relieved to find this is not just me. I'm going to try the tips listed in this sub.

adatneu

... [fade out] [end]

Robot_Embryo

Have you used the new features under the advanced tab? There's a slider you can use to specify the part of the song the generation will be occuring.

Rantsir

I am adding in the prompt for outro something like "slowing down / fading away, ends, stops", usually works.

Additional-Cap-7110

Funny. I have the problem of getting extend1 to stop ending😂

Connect-County-2435

I think they are having a moment again as it's been happening to me a fair bit tonight.

maccagrabme

Just upload the audio of the finished track and then do an outro, thats the only thing that worked for me.

jamqdlaty

Here's a question - How long is the song? Because the default 90% clip start for outro of a long song might be too early. Try setting it to 93-95% if it's a long piece.

jacobpederson

I have just the opposite problem . . . it's always putting in early endings in the 75%-88% timeslot (3:16). Solution? Welp I guess the song ends here then (if its a good ending). Here is an example [https://www.udio.com/songs/4NHaE2PKn3nHg1XjqsLCr8](https://www.udio.com/songs/4NHaE2PKn3nHg1XjqsLCr8)

Frankly_P

Changing the prompt to "outro, finish, the end, finale, fade out, fadeout, end damn you" and changing prompt strength to 100%, and simultaneously putting "\[Outro\] \[Finale\] \[Fadeout\]" into the custom lyrics field works for me every time. It seems a bit overkill, but hey, whatever works

durgastiger

lol [end damn you!]

jessetechno

That is what I just tried and finally got it to work coupled with the suggestion about setting the Clip Start to 90%.

misterswarvey

The Clip Start under advanced is your friend. Set it to 90% or above.

Additional-Cap-7110

I don’t under understand this slider. Can you help explain it? I’ve tried many experiments and don’t get it

HomieeJo

It's automatically at 90% if you select Add Outro. Most of the times it works if you add descriptors indicating that the song ends and have it based on the last 30-40 seconds of your song.

misterswarvey

Yep. You're right. I never just set outro before. Usually set the clip start, then outro, then also add [outro] to the lyric section because I just could never get a proper end. Now I always do!

Budlord11

If that happens to me I just stop and add it to capcut and fade it out.
