I used to be okay with Ariel because he is a journalist and that's his job to ask those questions. Lately, his ego has gone to his head and he's out of control. His show yesterday he went on some rant about how someone asked him to stop talking about Hill, so he said he was a man of his word. Then went on a five minute rant about "I'm a man of my word, even though the lies, mistruths and fabrications are real. I'll keep it to myself". Like what a scumbag way of saying that and then further pushing the narrative while stating he's not. He acts like a child and I can no longer stomach watching the mma hour.
me too, out of control is a great way to put it đź’€ i swear he never used to get into feuds with fighters this often in the past. i stopped listening too, im gradually consuming less mma media, i'll still watch the events but chill on everything else...honestly better that way
Asking fighters and promoters the tough questions, sounds like a journalist. Is he perfect? Absolutely not, he seems to own when he fucks up and he’s one of the best we’ve got. If all of the MMA journalist were UFC boot lickers like John Morgan, that wouldn’t be good.
The only reason Ariel has an audience is because a vast majority of other MMA journalists are directly tied to the UFC and don’t challenge them on tough situations, ask difficult questions, or give fighters a (relatively) open platform to speak on things like fighter pay or the promotion in general.
