Zabit is a little different, he said he loves training and has an appreciation to the martial arts, but he hates fighting, and he said: “I am not such a big fan of the sport(fighting), i love training thought, i have nothing to prove to anyone to go around and shout “i will never break and give in etc”, when the time is right, i will just silently step away, and that’s it..”
I’ve read somewhere that he stopped fighting because of religious reasons too. Competing in MMA is forbidden in Islam.
Also the dude went and became a doctor as far as I know, pretty badass.
Honestly, I don't want him to come back. It rarely go well to take 5 years "break" and step into the top game. It is cooler if he just leaves on top in a mysterous way rather than returning to get finished
Don’t get me wrong I don’t want him coming back he’s been gone for a long time and is a doctor now good for him too!
I’m just saying I was bummed to see him go when he did since he had so much potential
He still trains. He said he enjoys training but doesn't enjoy fighting. He's a doctor now, and also his original retirement was becuase of health issues.
"O\`Malley vrs Magomedsharipov" that would have been a great event to witness... what a shame he\`s retired, Im not sure about the weigth class, zabit was a 145??
Im from Argentina, im always converting the pounds to kilos...
I’m sorry if I don’t get scared at suffixes but I just have trouble believing a guy who looked liked he forgot how to fight because he got tired with about 4 minutes left in the third round against Kalvin Cattar and got completely outclassed by Max was a ever a threat to win the title.
“That would have been a great event to witness. Wait what weight class was he in”
Peak analysis
On one hand I want to agree that 10-8s should be more common on the other hand your average fan would become more retarded than they already are if 10-(less than 9) rounds became more discretionary.
Diaz fans would still be arguing he beat Edwards because round 5 should have been 10-4.
Zabit had a legitimate health condition that affected his immune system and resulted in absolutely terrible cardio. He had to get career-ending surgery to fix the issue. It’s entirely possible that Zabit’s cardio wouldn’t have been such an issue if he didn’t suffer from an immune system condition.
It’s also because his style is cardio intensive. Lots of kicks, active footwork, spinning attacks, and wrestling is a recipe to tire out against someone like Kattar who seems to mostly throw punches, elbows, and the occasional leg kick. He already attempted 185 significant strikes and two takedowns by end of the second round which is a lot.
If you add the less notable fighters from that region the percent goes down. Examples Rustam kabilov 24-4, said nurmagomedov 18-3, abubaker nurmagomedov 17-4, and Zubaira Tukhugov 20-6.
Well take this: I’m a career 100% FT shooter in basketball. 2/2 baby. Also the only points I scored all season in my 1 year of JV 7th grade basketball.
Yeah, not saying they aren’t. The caucuses produce incredible fighters just look at Georgia for example Merab and Ilia, Azerbaijan Chingiz Allazov, Armenia Arman tsarukyan and Gerard mousasi
Big part of it is that the purse for winning is worth way more back in their home countries than it is in more developed nations like the US and shit. It’s still incredible that they produce such good fighters, but they’re also sending guys that are closer to being the best of the best in terms of athleticism. If you’re a natural athlete in the US, you’re probably trying to go pro in virtually anything before fighting unless you just love that shit, or you were a wrestler.
Yup, Thai fighters are the same imo. Rodtang, Superbon, Nong-O, and Stamp Fairtex all fight for One Championship not cause it’s the best kickboxing or Muay Thai but because they get paid shit loads of money.
Sounds like you don't know what you're doing down there. Gotta switch it around do different things. Some women like something different don't want the same old same old. One day when you try it you'll learn.
Son, I've forgotten more pussy than you've seen. Of course you switch it around, but "tongue fucking" isn't a go to move for an experienced cunnilinguist. That's what your dick is for, or did your dad not have this talk with you? Or maybe there's another reason that's not an effective choice for you..
> how much of their record is from the UFC
When talking about Russian fighters, you must assume 90% of their wins are against local farmers/accountants.
I wish you guys discredited everyone’s wins when they were on the regional circuit and not just the people you don’t like. I know that’ll never happen though.
I mean if you look at guys who fought in the US records pre-ufc, especially guys who are newer to the ufc or have came in the last few years, a good few of them have fought each other on the regional circuits.
Like a few examples off the top of my head Joanderson Brito KO’d chepe Mariscal on the regional circuit. Jamal Emmers beat sandhagen on the regionals.
Like these guys fought future UFC level talent, in some cases good ufc talent as well, early in their careers.
The same just can’t be said for a lot of fighters out of that region. Maybe it will change in due time but it just isn’t fair to act like it’s the exact same situation.
Colby fought a guy who was something like 10-53 the fight before he came to the ufc but yeah let’s keep pretending like every anerican fighter fought nothing but top level competition straight from their first professional fight.
I never said that though did I?
I just said that for a lot of NA based fighters who have come into the ufc in the last few years especially, you can find some names on their record from the regional circuit.
Certain promotions such as LFA, where Joanderson fought Chepe, genuinely put on legit fights between top talent that they have.
I never said that all the fights these guys have are against legit guys. Or that they’ve never fought and journeymen.
Just that they are at least sometimes getting matched up with other legit talents, and are losing as a result.
It’s much harder to genuinely go through legit regional promotions like LFA and stay undefeated than some of the shadier promotions those guys come up through. There are legit promotions though on that side of the world though like M-1 global. I’m not saying they don’t exist.
I’m more inclined to believe these records are like Boxing. How much of these are against quality fighters? Khabibs record looks nice. But he had 13 ufc fights. Mcgregor turned out to be a very inactive fighter. Who had 14 ufc fights… let’s not all get bamboozeled by amateur wins.
These guys are my favorite fighters. But. Not a single one of those records describes a whole career. If Khabib hadn’t retired early would his career have looked more like GSP’s or Anderson Silva’s? We’ll never know. Lots of fighters are dominant on their way up, I’m interested to see if any of these guys can maintain it or if in the end they’ll all become Jose Aldo
I’m still bummed out Zabit left mma so early he had great potential
Zabit is a little different, he said he loves training and has an appreciation to the martial arts, but he hates fighting, and he said: “I am not such a big fan of the sport(fighting), i love training thought, i have nothing to prove to anyone to go around and shout “i will never break and give in etc”, when the time is right, i will just silently step away, and that’s it..”

I thought he had health issues. Dam, dude was an assassin but didn’t like taking people out.
He had/has them. This is just his ideology
I’ve read somewhere that he stopped fighting because of religious reasons too. Competing in MMA is forbidden in Islam. Also the dude went and became a doctor as far as I know, pretty badass.
Totally *agreed* man, he could’ve done so much.
Yair literally accepted getting cut from the UFC rather than agree to fight him lol
He had a very good chance of becoming a champion in his prime, quite a shame tbh
He was so much fun to watch fight
It's not a shame to him though. He's a fucking doctor, that's pretty badass
He's coming back isn't him ?
Him is Doctor Zabit now. Him no do MMA. Us thinks this is numba 1 bullshit bratha.
There was training footage a month or 2 ago
If I had to guess, he’s probably training as a hobby just like many of us in the sub do BJJ, Muay Thai, etc
He still trains. He said he enjoys training but doesn't enjoy fighting. He's a doctor now, and also his original retirement was becuase of health issues.
Him isn’t.

Brother brother… Zabit bit time doctor now, no more mma this is number 1 bullshit
Did Zabit ended up studying medicine or something?
Yes I think he is a legit dr now
"O\`Malley vrs Magomedsharipov" that would have been a great event to witness... what a shame he\`s retired, Im not sure about the weigth class, zabit was a 145?? Im from Argentina, im always converting the pounds to kilos...
Yes Zabit was at 145 (featherweight). But it‘s possible that Sean fights Umar Nurmangomedov (16-0 in the picture). I hope that fight happens
Me and you both, brather.
Shit, even if zabit had dropped to 135, that would have been the definition of a dynamic fight imo.
Zabit was a big 145er
I know, we’re just talking hypotheticals.
And hypothetically that fight would happen at 145, not 135.
lol okay.
If o malley moved to 145, Zabit would send him back down
I’m sorry if I don’t get scared at suffixes but I just have trouble believing a guy who looked liked he forgot how to fight because he got tired with about 4 minutes left in the third round against Kalvin Cattar and got completely outclassed by Max was a ever a threat to win the title. “That would have been a great event to witness. Wait what weight class was he in” Peak analysis
That fight should have been a draw. Kattar won 10-8 in that last round.
On one hand I want to agree that 10-8s should be more common on the other hand your average fan would become more retarded than they already are if 10-(less than 9) rounds became more discretionary. Diaz fans would still be arguing he beat Edwards because round 5 should have been 10-4.

Ive actually got so used to the American units that I somehow know them better than my own.
you know what to do, volk
Volkanovskiov
volKOVaNOVskiOV
Change his name?
Lol what they mean? They think -ski is the same as -ov/-ev?
Lmao 👍
Alex Volknanovskiev
Iliov Topuriev has entered the chat

Those are still pretty good records, honestly.
Not to me. I have zero losses in the ufc.
Same, same. Zero wins as well.
You have 300 upvotes on r/ufc , that's a win in my book. No fight of the night bonus but you got your win, you're cookin'
Lmao I just thought it a a little wild on the statistical side bro, that’s all.
Well take this: I’m a career 100% FT shooter in basketball. 2/2 baby. Also the only points I scored all season in my 1 year of JV 7th grade basketball.

What is this meme 💀💀😭
Is it wrong??? Lol
Mustaches tickle the clit if you don't know what you're doing.
Lol the person who made this meme tonguefucks the vagina instead of licking the clit
Can't you do both
You can, if you want to look like a 13 year old staring down your first clam. Might as well lick her bellybutton too if you're just gonna fuck around.
Sounds like you don't know what you're doing down there. Gotta switch it around do different things. Some women like something different don't want the same old same old. One day when you try it you'll learn.

Lol have a good day vanilla boy

Lmaooo
Zabit was going to be dat guy
*was* 😞
Realizing this shit ain't worth it and becoming a doctor cements him as dat guy.
He was mad fun to watch but had a suspect gas tank
I think it’s just anyone from the caucus. Look at Ilia, Merab, Tsarukyan, and Evloev
But you can do that about any area if you cherry pick all of the good fighters
Right right. A little bit more than irony.
It makes sense, all the ex-Soviet nations follow Sambo as their main martial-art.
They really left out the goat Shamil “Burgir” Gaziev
Mokaev just can’t grow a mustache lol
Caucasian fighters from the Caucasus regions 💪
A wild phenomenon.
I miss Zabit magomedsharipov. And no I didn’t have too google him too remember how too spell his last name.
Kudos.
I miss Abe Lincoln
A different type of breed for sure…
*Mountain men!*
Also statistically more likely to have high profile fights in regions with lax testing rules and incentives for these guys to win
Hold on this guy is cooking
I miss Zabit 😔
I think we *all* do, brather.
You can't tell me these guys aren't inbred
These guys aren’t…these guys aren’t… nope can’t do it.
And a 10% chance of getting a belt
That image is 7-0-1 in title bouts not exactly bad.
I wonder how many of these are finishes and how much of their record is from the UFC
> how much of their record is from the UFC When talking about Russian fighters, you must assume 90% of their wins are against local farmers/accountants.

And when have you ever heard any of these guys even mention any of their mma fights before the ufc?

They so mad lol
All roided out of their minds
Agreed lol
Most of those are ridiculously inflated records

If knees to grounded opponets were allowed, mokev would be dead
Wouldn't it work the other way as well, with these Dagestani wrestlers ground and pounding you with knees as well now.
No
![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
Him doing the aljamain sterling was lame as fuck. But he won me my parlay so I can't be mad haha
i want to see them fight each other
Not impossible, two of them actually fought each other and funnily ikram's (bottom right corner) only loss was to khamzat (third from top)
p < 0.05 is crazy
I’m more inclined to believe these records are like Boxing. How much of these are against quality fighters? Khabibs record looks nice. But he had 13 ufc fights. Mcgregor turned out to be a very inactive fighter. Who had 14 ufc fights… let’s not all get bamboozeled by amateur wins.
Miss Zabirt, actual fun style
Ill never understand this facial hair style. It looks bad on everyone.

Some us play ball sports growing up. Others fight and wrestle bears 🤷♂️
Well said 😅
Muslim beard power 💥

Now show their opponents records lol
Padded
Fucking can’t wait to see mokaev get smashed
These are not fully evolved humans. They still got that prehistoric strength
Cough cough sauce cough
Everybody …. - Nate
*you know it*
“Soviet style” lmfao Russian is older than the Soviet Union dumbass
I think you forgot some one. I can't remember his name though 🤔
Oh
Zis is Abubakar erasure brather
Alex needs to change his last name to Volkomedov
The one guy with the 16-0 record looks like the Russian Robbie Lawler
Lmao he totally does. Hadn’t noticed ‘til this comment!
[удалено]
some of these guys lettin their mustache out a wee bit much i'd say. tsk tsk, Haram af. shame on them.
You're excluding the occasional bum like Gaziev lol but mostly true
If Said and Abubakar Nurmagomedov didnt exist, being named Nurmagomedov would guarantee you a victory...
Not very proffessional analysis, but I think above all their skills and way of living for fighting, they just have an incredibly strong will.
Unless your name is Abubakar apparently.
No it’s only 50% when they face each other.
And he married a towel
Does that 3rd guy still fight?
fun fact: the only person to beat ikram aliskerov is khamzat
Unless they're heavyweights, then it falls apart a bit
I still think about Zabit and what could've been
Beard without mustache is enough
Also a large chance of popping
Muslim is the word you are looking for OP
Thank you 🙏
plot twist. they all come the same test tube
Russified names, not "Soviet". The Kavkaz was conquered by the Russian Empire.
I didn’t make this, fyi
Now I'm convinced 10-0 got a nosejob
For anyone wondering, historical descriptions of Muhammad say he had a beard but no mustache so a lot of Muslims do that to be like him.
Lincoln really left us early twice
These fighters have a combined record of 141-4-1…. That’s fucking absurd.
BRB shaving moustache off of my beard.
😅
I guess I’m converting to Islam and shaving my mustache
Plot twist: None of them shave their moustaches, their facial hair just grows that way.
army of gaylords!
Crazy
Arabs want these guys to be Arabic so bad lol. Nah, ya'll get Belal Muhammad.
Why do all of them have same ears?😭😭😭
Inbreeding does wonders for strength
The full beard with no mustache is a terrible look 🤦🏻♂️
weird that the other two comments are calling you gay and jealous for this take lol... i agree with you
