Yet he has said we all need to accept wage cuts.

Say10sadvocate

Not "we all" "You" lol

Why won't scrapping the cap contribute to inflation? Almost like their argument is a load of bollocks.

brutaljackmccormick

Because rich people buy things that aren't on the list that makes up the official measure of inflation (like assets). If it did we would realise that we have actually been living in an inflationary environment for some time - all while the metaphorical QE printing press kept churning out cash.

banzaibarney

Jesus Christ. This is infuriating at this point.

Cromulantman

"You would always be welcome to join the firm in some sort of conaultancy role once you leave office" "Bonus cap, what bonus cap?

Dave2711

How is this day and age is someone not filming, recording or documenting these closed door kind of meetings? Ray Ban Metas are literal spy glasses. I just don’t understand how no one knows what goes on.

KaiBarnard

I mean would they believe him - not like he'd say anything to anyone to get a vote/donation

Utter fearmongering by Labour. Bonus cap needs to be removed ASAP to unleash the full potential of the City.

DaMonkfish

This is satire, right? *Right?* /Padme

BritRedditor1

No. It’s like the only Brexit benefit

thehibachi

For who?!

BritRedditor1

For everyone. More pay = more tax for high quality public services

thehibachi

We already live in a country where the highest earners have earned increasingly more as the majority of the country, in real terms, are earning less and less. It hasn’t yet come to fruition and, regardless, feels morally awful.

underwaterthoughts

This was a hidden comment - and the only one not saying this is an absolute disaster. Hmmm..
