The sign on the lamppost, on the other platform where the railing curves. Weird sentence sorry. And I don't know if you're being sarcastic so sorry for bothering.
Ah interesting! My folks live there now and so I get the train a lot when I visit them. Once the train driver mostly overshot the platform, I assume they started stopping when they saw me waiting, as the train was indeed expected to stop there. I had to get on using the only door that was over the platform, and it took a while for them to let me on and then get going again! Most faster trains don't stop there, so I assume they got confused
It happens. I once had an XC service completely overshoot Teignmouth because they usually go fast to Exeter from Newton Abbot but there were 3 up services a day that stopped there
I stayed in a cute cottage-house near the station! It really is a funny village, I hope the Spar is still there! Friendly people, I love Devon and can’t drive so it was a good spot to travel from ☺️
Did you sleep in the waiting room? I can’t imagine staying at a station for 2 weeks but I’m guessing you’re a train spotter which would make sense out of staying at a station for that long.
I didn't even see the sign and recognised it at Starcross. Lived there for a summer and I adored getting the ferry across to Exmouth. That was over 10 years ago now - feels like yesterday.
Definitely Starcross, we got stranded their fir 2 hours on a February evening after train was hit by a tree.
Wanded off to the pub in the end to defrost lol whilst Mrs drove from Torbay to get us, we took 3 other stranded peeps as well that were heading that way , the train company were bloody useless.
However, having embarked and disembarked from starcross many times, I am almost entirely sure the platform is lower than it should be, as its a bloody massive step to mind, so the sign is needed. It's defo knee level on me, and with the gap between the platform, I had some major trouble getting my suitcase onto the train last time :)
It's a little village settled between Dawlish and Exeter on the river Exe in Devon! It looks across to Exmouth, with the trainline on the other side of the river visible! You can also get a ferry across the river depending on the time of year! It doesn't have much other than a spar, a church and a primary school though !
Starcross. Now I'm just thinking about *Romeo and Juliet* and if it were set in fair Devon instead of fair Verona.
..is what it says on the sign.
I used reasoning and logic to solve the puzzle, what was I thinking? 😱 The extra effort in my reply was a nice touch, no?
I appreciated it.
"Mind the step"?

That was just my sense of humor after 12h shift, nothing serious just being a bit goofy.
always fancied going there, getting the ferry across to Exmouth then the train back round.
That's what I meant! Accidentally wrote Topsham though .
New York Penn station (before they ruined it)
I think this one might be a bit too easy
I didnt realise the name was visible 🙃
Ah, it’s ’Mind the step’ station.
🙃
I've been trained to dispatch there. One of only a handful of people!
Wow! Why such a small number of people?
Because it's an unmanned station, but in Powderham Castle just up the road, they have gigs on, and people get the train so they can drink

Wow, I have so many memories of this station when I stayed here for 2 weeks 😅
There is a cute Air bnb just over the road! It's a funny little village :)

Awww nice! The spar is still there! I still get IDed every time I go in there for wine when I'm back, even though I know some of the staff by name😂
