Once again: It doesnt matter because its perfect stats exist on a ad-paper and we wouldnt use it anyway. Id be glad if every 800$ 1000fill down jacket would come like this so I could store it more easily in ma wardrobe.
uj: there is a myth that storing down compressed will ruin it; that is not true. Also, people that worry about storing their sleeping bag compressed for a few days completely ignore the fact that during manufacturing down is compressed all the time and for who knows how long, eg. this picture.
absolutely. though i don't recommend compressing it while not in use simply because it can take longer to fluff up when removed. and who wants to wait when its -20.
Well that's a mistake on their part. That sleeping bag is a work of art. It should say inside who made it and who inspected it. Email western mountaineering, note the inspector, ask for a replacement. Sad to see such a beautifully bad get messed up

Personally I take my down out of the package to wear around the house. I crank the ac to simulate a alpine environment
No worries, in about 10 years its 30DegC up there, too.
Tell them it's damaged and drop ship that one to me. Thanks
My city has a very liberal policy on disposing bulkier items, so throw it in my trash.
Willing to travel to you for disposal, however that will put more miles on this bag than all the gear in my closet *combined*!
Just put it in the closet and never use it. Duh.
As long as they thoroughly wet it before packaging it will be fine. You can check by seeing if you can get a little slurp from the open end.
What?
You know, put your mouth on the fabric and take a lil’ slurp to get the juices out
Dang, when I bought my down bag years ago there was no slurp. I wonder if WM will warranty?
Don’t touch it unless it’s ultralight slurp.
I want the job of the guy who puts the slurp in.
The interior is actually just the safety packaging for the real gem: the plastic outer bag
You use the sack to absorb rainwater and squeeze it into the plastic bag. Genius ingenuity.
Crawl in there with it so YOU ARE COMPRESSED TOO
That's the kind of galaxy brain thinking we need around here.
It is now small enough to keister! Turning carried weight to worn weight....brilliant!
Should hold out just fine in that form on a shelf in your gear room until next years model comes out….at that point you can toss it.
you should dump that Euro heavy sleeping bag crap and get something quality Have you heard of Cumulus?
if this is a serious question...why would that matter. they where sortof designed to do this.

You should probably just leave it on your porch. It might off gas compression gasses.
