I don’t want to rain on your parade, but don’t hold your breathe yet.
I had a tentative job offer from DOJ several months back. They told me I would hear from them further after they contacted my references. Then, I was ghosted. They never contacted my references and evaded future communications from me. They ended up closing the announcement without selecting anyone. Then, they reposted the position.
The point is don’t count on having a job offer until it is firm and in writing.
Meanwhile, I filed both OSC and EEO complaints.
Wow, sorry to hear that. Thank goodness they checked my references first. The job I was offered wasn’t even posted on USAJobs though. Praying everything works out. Thanks 🥰
Congrats! I am really wanting a career Gov for agencies seeking disabled individuals. I saw that I’d have to list every previous employer who fired me and the reason for terminating. Anyone else have more than a few and did you list the reason why? I think the gov has easy way to pull up the details so if I d forget to list one I’m afraid. Been fired from
A lot of jobs due to my disability before I kk ew I could apply for disability sadly
Hi! Thank you for posting this. I just got referred today for an HR Specialist position with NASA too! Hopefully I will have a somewhat similar experience as you!
Congrats. With being an HR Specialist, you can literally go to any agency to climb the ladder.
Now you’ll have all the knowledge of how this weird process works to help the rest of us!
Congratulations welcome to the dark side
