Never seen a team so willing to believe its own hype despite clear indications the manager and the players are a mediocre bunch. The entire team is largely a marketing exercise rather than a football team. Can't control the ball. Can't pass the ball. Just endless run and kick, run and kick. It's so depressing to watch and also be surrounded by supporters who are so willing to delude themselves. They don't play football and beerholder is a terrible manager. Period. Full stop. No one understands why they bought back a mid table MLS coach. Wasted another cycle of CP/Reyna/Aaroson potential.
Polish here coming in peace. Do you guys think you can go far with this team in 2026? I know I have no right to judge your NT since Poland just got grouped in euros but I think USA has quality to reach quarterfinals and for now they aren't showing it. I wonder if not playing qualifiers will work to your benefit. Good luck against Uruguay!
The issue isn't talent, it's coaching. When teams allow the US possession there is no offensive idea and Berhalter has no idea how to get quality chances. It's frustrating that this generational talent is wasted by a clueless coach who was only hired by nepotism.
Sadly GGG will likely get a pass even not making it out of the group bc USSF will view it as being handicapped playing with 10. Only a demolition by Uruguay, like losing by more than 3, will there be a chance to fire.
Can someone help me understand why there wasn’t a card against the player that ran into Matt turner? I try to watch as much soccer as I can, including Sunday morning prem, local mls matches, and any international cup. I swear I’ve never seen a collision with the keeper result in anything less than a yellow, but now I’m doubting myself. What’s the rule here, and why was this considered legal?
Because it was early in the game. That's the best I can come up with. It absolutely should have been a card and there should have been about 5 more given to Panama throughout the game in general.
I could recognize the lack of cards on Panama. Though, I feel like in a scenario where the goalie is almost surely going to get to the ball with advantage of hands you’re supposed to defer, right? So odd to not have a yellow card to me
Weah is definitely by far the biggest to blame for this loss by a lot! But let’s look back at the last 6 games we’ve played (not including the January camp cupcake loss to Slovenia).
We struggled against Trinidad and Jamaica in the nations league. We beat a poor Mexico side which is also struggling in copa America. Then, we get blown out by a very good Colombian team. In the next game we tied a Brazilian team which seemed great until you realize costa rica did too. Then we beat the worst team in the competition by only 2 goals.
I think it’s time to lower our expectations for 2026. 2030 is a different story.
We only need to lower expectations if Gregg is still at the helm in 3 weeks. If we have a new coach, 2 years is enough time to chart a new trajectory for 2026.
The fucking hoofball in the second half was embarrassing. Why play like that? How about don't have Reyna out at the half and let you talent overcome the situation?
Blame Weah if you want, but this is the kind of shit that happens any time Gregg is forced to manage. He's not up to the task. Literally in awe of how we were organized for the second half. Just parking the bus and hoping for a run against an inferior side...
Fine giving a red 18 mins in while allowing a goalie tackle against Turner, but has to suddenly figure his shit out after the US has played the whole game down a man
Because Bolivia is really bad. Panama is bad too, but they are better than Bolivia who I think have only won like two Copa America games in their history.
I did see Panama beat Bolivia 2-1 in a friendly last year, but even so, a draw isn't out of the realm of possibility, which would let us skirt through on a draw with a likely indifferent Uruguay side, since Copa uses GD before head-to-head in the tiebreaker list and we are up on Panama in that category. But please God, let us go out and beat Uruguay somehow so it's all that much easier.
I also can't help but wonder if Sargent isn't really healthy. This seems like the kind of game that you bring him or Haji on not Pepi. Having someone who's able to hold the press stronger and not just be a target forward probably would have been better.
I was screaming at the tv to bring in Wright but of course it’s Pepi because it’s always Pepi. And I love Pepi but that made no sense to me unless Wright was unavailable
Gregg was determined to get his sub in no matter how much sense it didn't make to take Balogun off there
And he will never trust Sargent, which might be the least of his problems.
Balogun was one of the few bright spots last night, but he was done at the end. All the extra sprints being the only striker, team needed some fresh legs up top.
Concacrap will never field any respectable teams on any level until it is cut down to 8, 9 or maybe 10 teams. How are sides ever going to get better playing against St Kitts...Blow the darn thing up, and petition to join CONMEBOL.
Only silver lining is that Panama will be without their best player, and Uruguay is locking up the top spot tonight against Bolivia and won't give a shit about Monday night.
I mean, they will be +6 to our +1 and panamas -1. Not impossible for them to lose the top spot but realistically they’ve already locked it up. Correct me if I’m wrong, though. I’m casual af
I mean, we either have to beat them by 5 goals, or Panama has to beat Bolivia by 7 goals.
I’m not saying it’s locked up, but it’s basically all but locked up.
And I know I already left a comment being critical of Gregg. And maybe I’m capping on this one and I just didn’t see or notice. But when the Panama player took that challenge on Turner, it just seemed like Gregg just didn’t know where he was?? Like any serious manager would have been squaring up and yelling into the 4th officials face.
Gregg should have been the only American willing to take a red card tonight. and maybe I missed it, and probably he was genuinely concerned for Matt and that’s why his reaction was what I presume it was. But you gotta stand up for your team in that moment. Instead it set the tone for a very physical night.
I mean Weah is ultimately most at fault here. If he doesn't get a moronic red card (it's worse than the one Dest got IMO while Dests was stupid the scale of the foul was different) we don't lose. Maybe we have a disappointing draw but we don't lose.
But when we grabbed the lead we should have had everyone behind the ball and made Panama beat us with skill. Give them no space.
I mean there's a real chance we don't make it out of the group. We basically have to match whatever Panama does vs. Bolivia vs. Uruguay. Uruguay is gonna beat Bolivia to be on top of the group.
I see a lot of discourse about how good the players are and whether we have overrated them. I genuinely don't think that's the issue. Pulisic is on his way to being the GOAT American. McKennie is a good player for Juventus. Jedi just won player of the year at Fulham. Though they didn't play tonight, Dest and Musah have a level of skill on the ball that I don't recall seeing from other US players. Guys like Scally and LDLT play consistently in top five leagues but don't crack our best 11.
Having said that, the results just have not consistently been better than the sum of the parts. I think back to when I first started watching the USMNT in the early 2010s. I don't think guys like Beckerman, Zusi, and Bedoya would be getting starts with this version of the squad, but I also don't remember any shockingly bad results with that group like we've seen too often with this one.
I've never been a Berhalter hater, but ultimately it's on the coach to get the team above the sum of its parts. And that just hasn't happened. I don't see how we think he will raise the ceiling if he hasn't done it in 5+ years.
Gregg has always been the problem. We need a manager who knows when to get out of the way and who understands the levels of opponents we're playing.
It was ridiculous to go 5 at the back and play hoofball against that Panama team. We should have put a 7-spot on Bolivia. Why did we bring this dude back?! We were rid of him!
I feel like this should be common sense, but waaaaay too many fans here and, more importantly, sports journalists just get mad and make a million excuses for every embarrassing result before ever mentioning the coach. People need to get real. Sure, we can all agree our talent is not at the level of Spain. But for the love of God, why did JK and Bruce Arena managed to get the team to punch above it's weight, but Berhalter hasn't even come close in 5+ years?
I think we're as threatening as any team in this tournament. The problem is that while Ream is extremely talented, he's no spring chicken. And Chris Richards is clearly not up to the task. Throw in a lack of discipline and not having two tournament ready goalies and that's how we lose to Panama.
I was referring more to what the players have done at the club level, not the national team level. I agree. The national team results haven't been there. Earlier generations did more with less.
Listening to Dempsey talk after the game, I appreciated his perspective. While it's 100% correct to put a lot of blame on Weah for the red, to go down a man then get a miracle goal like 5 minutes later is an insane turn of events but to then turn around and give away the lead 5 minutes later is inexcusable. Even being down a man you still need to rally and make Panama work for a result. Letting them get that answer so quickly was such a killer
And then playing for the draw after it was level, that should be a fireable offense. I love CCV but him for Reyna was giving up. If you want to play the back five, bringing a midfielder to the back line would have made more sense to me.
Berhalter should be gone. Should've been gone years ago. Should've been gone when we beat Bolivia too. Hard to root for this team while he's here TBH.
Just gotta beat Uruguay. I don't care about wanting Uruguay to thump Bolivia tonight so that their match against us doesn't matter to them, that's a losing mentality. We just need to stand up and beat them regardless.
Not talking about pressing but how about control some posession and advance the ball. He put CCV for Reyna instead of putting musah and keeping 2 cbs. Musah and Johnny could have provided plenty of defensive help while still providing a threat. 3 in the back I haven’t seen that shit once in the past 4 years. When sergino got sent off against T and T he didn’t put 3 CBs in the game.
The talent is there and it’s been clear. That’s what’s frustrating. Weah was a fool, and how this happened is very much on GGG and this team’s discipline. Our defense is just not great. We’re missing Dest and Zimmerman and it showed to me and it’s still not ideal. Matty is a solid option, but not the spoils of riches we’ve had at that position, and him going out was rough. Weak hands on that goal, I just don’t know. Just bummed this is how this team is going.
GGG has no attack game plan. We don’t have an attacking identity even though our players are super tight. GGG is like Pep from dollar tree with his possession tactics and playing out with the keeper.
Seeing puli just dragging our team to an offensive identity is demoralizing. I will say Flo has looked like the real deal, so there’s something on that end.
Zimmerman wouldn't change anything, he can't play with the ball at his feet let alone any better than Richards and Ream, there's a reason he's at the Olympics and not at Copa over the guys we have.
> Zimmerman wouldn't change anything
He already has, against the team we need this kind of performance against next. And he did it with a patchwork backline at that. Very clear we're lacking anyone who can properly organize the backline that well, and has been for awhile.
"Without Walker Zimmerman, this match could've ended much differently ..."

That was Uruguay's like C/B team though? Look at their starters and subs, this is also a Bielsa coached Uruguay now, completely night and day
Edit: Went and looked, there were only like 3 starters from Uruguay's friendly against us, no idea what this guy is waffling about, basically their entire backline + keeper didn't start against Bolivia recently for example, I only saw Nunez, Ugarte, and Vina
YOU look at their starters and subs. They brought all their best players and rotated them. You know who we rotated in? Erik Palmer Brown. And Zimmerman still held the back line together. Credit where it's due.
And Zimmerman is with the Olympics because he simply isn’t as good as our CBs we have now, you need to touch grass lol.
Guy isn’t a ball playing defender by any means and his most famous action in a U.S. shirt is a stupid penalty against Wales at the World Cup.
Using a friendly from over a year ago under a different coach and a Uruguay running their bench is meaningless.
Yeah clearly he's not as good as anyone off the bench even, like a certain someone who's been beaten badly for goals in three consecutive games going back to getting smoked by a Trinidad & Tobago domestic league player 1v1. Coach never makes any poor lineup choices, let alone subs, you're right.
It's pathetic you have to try to move the goalposts and lie about another team's personnel just to avoid giving a player credit they earned. Time to grow the fuck up little landel.
Yeah why would anyone advocate for players who've already proven themselves against the likes of Uruguay to maybe play against Uruguay? Even if it's the version of Uruguay you shamelessly lied about like no one could check.
Wild suggestions in 2024 bro.
Scroll up, Uruguay played 3 (three) starters against us lol. It was also 2+ years ago under a different coach and formation, it is meaningless to bring up especially since Zimmerman's form has dropped, he had a career defining fuck up at the World Cup, and he's been relegated to Olympics duty where he was getting ran down by U23 Japanese players lol.
He's irrelevant dude, I'm sorry if you like him, but we have different guys now, why aren't you advocating for Robinson for example?
I didn't lie about anything, ironically I actually looked it up and proved YOU lied lol.
Fair to give GGG some blame because we lost but the way i saw it in real time was red card killed the game, first string keeper probably saves Panama’s second goal.
He might react better to the first without the injury. I think it's pretty clear we win this game 11 v 11, but if my aunt had a dick, she'd be my uncle.
I want GGG out if they don’t advance but he did the right thing tonight. There’s rarely any teams who attack going down to 10 men. Bunker down was a good choice especially if that gave us 2 options for our next game.
I'm the opposite of you. I'm typically not a berhalter supporter but can understand a ton of what happens and not blame him.
We are number 11 in the world we don't just concede possession because we are a man down against a team who's best player can't make our bench. We play our game and keep the ball.
Guys, that’s it… I’ve watched just about every USMNT game since 2002, friendlies and all. 22 years. I’ve been watching the boys rebuild every step of the way. I’ve been watching their club games to keep tabs. And for this…. now, its time for me to just be done watching.
Pepi simply isn’t effective in this system or just not good enough in general. When things don’t work out Berhalter waits a little too long for change. On the international stage you need to show up or get out quick
No press conference btw.
Edit: Meant public broadcasted fyi. There’s still a mini conference behind closed doors that’s uploaded online in snippets later where Gregg gets thrown softball questions. It’s what happened after the Colombia game
Yeah they are all behind closed doors and then put up online afterwards. They didn’t broadcast the Colombia press conference either. Also only softball questions are thrown out.
It was a big thing on the sub. I think mods removed the post. As you can see online we only had one snippet of the conference uploaded so far in which Berhalter is thrown a softball question about the ref and his tendencies.
What a wild fever dream of game. The players let themselves down today and we can't defend.Berhalter needs to inspire the team performance of his life to save himself because uruguay is capable of embarrassing us even worse than columbia did. Worst of all were now without weah and likely turner. It'll be intresting who starts in that spot.
1. We don’t have a good enough GK to make a tournament run. That second goal was amateur hour. A good gk saves the first as well.
2. GGG is clueless. Pepi in? It’s Sargent there or bring on Musah and bunker.
Everything changed with Weah obviously. Probably why GGG keeps his job as well. Unless the US/MLS media turns on him. If it’s 50/50 he won’t get sacked.
Coaching staff should have pulled him the minute they saw him flopping on his sides and hobbling around, Turner himself should have known better too, insane stuff today.
Ignoring Weah’s immaturity, inconsistent officiating, and the weird lack of stoppage time…
We have a serious problem with our back line. Ream has lost half a step, Richards gets baited by every slide to get pulled out of position, and CCV sadly looks to not be above Rangers level of play. A few months ago we thought the weakness of our back line was Scally and he has been as consistent as Jedi (albeit not as flashy).
We may never know under GGG! I think Miles did fine in his last match in the Gold Cup, and he has the next most experience. Our team desperately lacks international reps at CB
Because he's a liability with the ball, simple as that. He isn't anymore of a threat than Richards is in the air as well
A lot of people are howling about our backline being sloppy with the ball but you're advocating for guys who simply do not have the technical ability to play out the back to come into these games and try and do it.
Am I the only one that thinks 4 minutes is sketchy as fuck? I’m not saying it would’ve made a difference, but there should have been at least double that.
It may or may not have made a difference, but it should have been given. At least 8 minutes. Importantly, the USA were playing on level terms through stoppage time.
Half time subs were poor. Taking off Balogun was insane. Ricardo did nothing, just let Flo play 90 minutes for once especially on nights like tonight when he looks like the most dangerous player out there and is also the only way we could relieve pressure when down 10 men. Sick of looking at this gym teacher on the sidelines. Don’t care if the players say they like him. Coaching staff is not up to the players. He’s gotta go
Everything in Atlanta Thursday was horrible.
Never seen a team so willing to believe its own hype despite clear indications the manager and the players are a mediocre bunch. This ref like cards. But where's the red card to GGG for "denying obvious goal-scoring opportunity" through absurd substitutions and game plan?
Polish here coming in peace. Do you guys think you can go far with this team in 2026? I know I have no right to judge your NT since Poland just got grouped in euros but I think USA has quality to reach quarterfinals and for now they aren't showing it. 50 percent ref fault 30 percent GGG 20 percent Weah
classic yanks blaming the ref instead of facing that your team is awful.
Too bad I'm a European who's watching USMNT. And don't get me started on the muppets that are England.
What a win for the mighty USMNT!!!!
At least we don’t yell slurs when we lose?
Lol más pu-
We just punch them in game!
What slur
He’s referring to what the El Tri fans chant when the opposing team takes a goal kick
Can’t wait for Uruguay to shred USA and Gregg Berhalter’s disastrous career
Sadly GGG will likely get a pass even not making it out of the group bc USSF will view it as being handicapped playing with 10. Only a demolition by Uruguay, like losing by more than 3, will there be a chance to fire.
you know biesla will go for it.
Please fire the joker of a coach

It is what it is. The boats have been burned and the only option is to beat Uruguay. It can be done. ![gif](giphy|3ofT5CFEsj3ynCjeww)
We gotta beat em by like 3 most likely Lmao
We can win 1-0 and advance as long as Panama doesn't beat Bolivia 3-0, its totally doable.
Tru my b
Only if Panama wins by 5

Welp, GGG isn't going to get his signature win. But this may well be his signature loss.
I can't trust USSF to do the right thing and get rid of him even though he didn't deserve a second term
Anyone else think the ref lost control of the match. Panama started seeing cards way too late in the game.
Fine giving a red 18 mins in while allowing a goalie tackle against Turner, but has to suddenly figure his shit out after the US has played the whole game down a man
Well, at least Uruguay will have a mix of bench players in for Monday, they’re practically through already.
Its going to sound like cope, but this Bolivia team can beat Panama. And they will be down their best midfielder.
Yeah I don’t quite get why people are acting like it’s win or die for us.
Because Bolivia is really bad. Panama is bad too, but they are better than Bolivia who I think have only won like two Copa America games in their history.

Beerholders performance was worse than Bidens today. And that’s saying something
We’re changing the way the world views us soccer For the worse
Imagine going to 5 at the back against a depleted mid team and still conceding. Players or coaching or both, this team just isn't very good.
Golden generation about to get grouped and it's not even the world cup
Coaching plain and simple. These players are soft and undisciplined. They have to know that Panama is going to try and bait them into a card.
Sure. I can see that. I just suspect you don't mean his club coaches despite that being who coaches him 95% of the time
I hate the coach. But how does an individual player being a streight bum the coaches fault?
It’s over
DONT PUNCH PEOPLE in the head!!!! idiot!!!
Why did he do that? I didn’t get to watch the match last night due to work, genuinely asking what instigation there was. Thanks.
I also can't help but wonder if Sargent isn't really healthy. This seems like the kind of game that you bring him or Haji on not Pepi. Having someone who's able to hold the press stronger and not just be a target forward probably would have been better.

that's not bielsa's MO. He will respect the tournament and the US by trying to pummel and win by 5 or 6 goals.
The US won't beat Uruguay. By some miracle, maybe we can pull off a tie. The problem is, there is no way Panama loses to Bolivia. The US is out.
Meh. You know who will give even less of a shit about Monday? Bolivia.
They can't lock up the top spot tonight.
I mean mathematically no but we’re not beating them by 4 goals and Panama isn’t scoring 8 against Bolivia.
Technically no, realistically yes. USA would need to beat them by 4 AND panama would need to win by 5.
They just did
Unless you think Panama and the US are going to combine for a 9 GD swing against Uruguay, it's locked up
You may want to Google what locked up means. They literally haven't locked it up because there are scenarios where they can't go through.
Sure. And you actually can win powerball tomorrow night.
Not if you don't play. Same concept.
I mean, they will be +6 to our +1 and panamas -1. Not impossible for them to lose the top spot but realistically they’ve already locked it up. Correct me if I’m wrong, though. I’m casual af
Their GD says otherwise. Beating them would already be a miracle, let alone by 4+ goals.

Uruguay up 2 already
5-0😂

Timo won't play in copa again. No way that's not a multi match ban
I mean there's a real chance we don't make it out of the group. We basically have to match whatever Panama does vs. Bolivia vs. Uruguay. Uruguay is gonna beat Bolivia to be on top of the group.
The US is already out. It would take a win against Uruguay and Panama not beating Bolivia. I fail to see how either of those two are plausible.
Yah I agree I just mean in any circumstances. I would expect 5 matches
Panama must have a lot of players at European clubs
I see a lot of discourse about how good the players are and whether we have overrated them. I genuinely don't think that's the issue. Pulisic is on his way to being the GOAT American. Besides beating a shit Mexico team, what has this “golden generation” ever done ? Overrated frauds , it’s time to fucking admit it .
Only fraud is the bald guy and his shit tactics
I was referring more to what the players have done at the club level, not the national team level. I agree. The national team results haven't been there. Earlier generations did more with less.
Copa Dome: 22 men enter. 20 men leave.
My blood is still fucking boiling
Honestly a little surprised Cardio Brendo wasn’t subbed in given the situation. Or Musah.
Musah? Nah. Cardoso on for Reyna.
Same here thought they both should’ve came on
Listening to Dempsey talk after the game, I appreciated his perspective.
I hate gregg but its literally timothys' bum ass fault
Our country is cooked
You don’t sit back against Panama idc 10 men.
Clueless
Yes you are right what am I thinking it worked out really well for us as we face potential elimination in the group stage without a win.
We were down a man for 72 mins. You don't press. That's literally stupid.
I dont necessarily disagree about 3 cbs but we cant press. We have to sit and counter.
Casuals think players can sprint forever without getting tired.
Bad. They better beat Uruguay.
Edit - I’m an idiot who cannot do math
Is goal difference not the tiebreaker?
My bad. I boofed.
Oh, you never know because concacaf will try different rules sometimes.
Only issue I care about in the debate is if they bring up the head coach situation on our national team
Sheer stupidity. We played down a man for 72 mins.
> Zimmerman wouldn't change anything He already has, against the team we need this kind of performance against next. And he did it with a patchwork backline at that. Very clear we're lacking anyone who can properly organize the backline that well, and has been for awhile. "Without Walker Zimmerman, this match could've ended much differently ..." https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/usmnt-vs-uruguay-score-player-ratings-usa-draw-in-final-tune-up-ahead-of-concacaf-nations-league/live/
That was Uruguay's like C/B team though? Look at their starters and subs, this is also a Bielsa coached Uruguay now, completely night and day Edit: Went and looked, there were only like 3 starters from Uruguay's friendly against us, no idea what this guy is waffling about, basically their entire backline + keeper didn't start against Bolivia recently for example, I only saw Nunez, Ugarte, and Vina
Says the guy advocating for Walker Zimmerman in the year 2024 lol, he’s ass dude. Find a new MLSer to talk up bro
There's always USA Rugby and Cricket. At least the US national teams in those sports want to get better, unlike US Soccer.
You are one of the smart ones.

See ya Monday
“fuck you and i’ll see you tomorrow!”
Pepi simply isn’t effective in this system or just not good enough in general. When things don’t work out Berhalter waits a little too long for change. On the international stage you need to show up or get out quick
I like Pepi. He has managed 10 goals for the national team and he's only 21. But clearly he hasn't been good enough this tournament.
Greg is the Southgate of Concacaf When the hell are we firing him
I have zero faith in USSF doing the right thing. I only see them letting his contract expire at the end of the 26 cycle.
Even though this loss isn't all on him we can't risk being this bad in a home World Cup
Hopefully Tuesday after we’ve lost to Uruguay
Skipped the presser AGAIN
Weah is a national terrorist
the moronic guy single handedly cost USA a chance to advance. what an absolute idiot
Incredibly disgraceful. 18th minute you throw a temper tantrum???
How are these guys so undisciplined?
It’s baffling.
unless it gets gregg fired
Sadly my feeling is that red saved his job bc USSF will say he did a great job being handicapped down to 10.
They are both apart of a terrorist organization
No press conference btw. Edit: Meant public broadcasted fyi. There’s still a mini conference behind closed doors that’s uploaded online in snippets later where Gregg gets thrown softball questions. It’s what happened after the Colombia game
Trying to not get fined hard?
Nope. Berhalter has chosen to stop doing public press conferences for a while after games.
This is fucking insane if true
Yeah they are all behind closed doors and then put up online afterwards. They didn’t broadcast the Colombia press conference either. Also only softball questions are thrown out.
What the actual fuck?
It was a big thing on the sub. I think mods removed the post. As you can see online we only had one snippet of the conference uploaded so far in which Berhalter is thrown a softball question about the ref and his tendencies.
Wait he can do that? Like isnt it in the job description to face the music
Yep. He can do literally whatever he wants press conference wise.
What a wild fever dream of game. The players let themselves down today and we can't defend.Berhalter needs to inspire the team performance of his life to save himself because uruguay is capable of embarrassing us even worse than columbia did. Worst of all were now without weah and likely turner. It'll be intresting who starts in that spot.
this game needed john BROOKS. but what did we do to him? kick him to the curb for speaking his mind and demanding more
Found JA Brooks’ burner account.
Yeah I'm worried that this won't be enough to fire him especially in scenario where we get a result against uruguay and still don't qualify somehow.
USSF gave him a contract through 2026 WC. They look at $ first. Will they sack him if they still owe him over $4 mil?
A not injured Turner probably saves the first one. He had no push in his legs, and was very much not 100% after the collision.
Coaching staff should have pulled him the minute they saw him flopping on his sides and hobbling around, Turner himself should have known better too, insane stuff today.
Yep. Both would have been saved by a healthy Turner.
Lost this game because of Weah. Won't advance out of an easy group, because of Weah.
I hate when people predetermine outcomes. Three games left in the group.
But yet, it will happen. It's very probable
Ignoring Weah’s immaturity, inconsistent officiating, and the weird lack of stoppage time… We have a serious problem with our back line. Ream has lost half a step, Richards gets baited by every slide to get pulled out of position, and CCV sadly looks to not be above Rangers level of play. A few months ago we thought the weakness of our back line was Scally and he has been as consistent as Jedi (albeit not as flashy).
Scally has not been anywhere near the level of Jedi. Wtf match are you watching?
Has M. Rob been forgotten? Or has he never fully recovered from the Achilles tear?
We may never know under GGG! I think Miles did fine in his last match in the Gold Cup, and he has the next most experience. Our team desperately lacks international reps at CB
Confused why we didn’t put in Miles. He would have matched up well against Panama and he’s a threat on corners.
Because he's a liability with the ball, simple as that. He isn't anymore of a threat than Richards is in the air as well A lot of people are howling about our backline being sloppy with the ball but you're advocating for guys who simply do not have the technical ability to play out the back to come into these games and try and do it.
Yep. If you're going to park the bus that extra Center D has to be strong. CCV wasn't.
Baloguin was forced into basically playing an ACM role. He had to be exhausted. So not what he's used to doing playing up top.
It's almost as if ggg should have made a substitute to replace Balo with a winger & forgo a striker up top.
Italy is only through in the Euros bc of a 98th minute goal
If yall watched that game you would know that 8 minutes was def justified
It was justified, I agree. 4 min on our match was insane
Ah my bad, I misinterpreted what you said. I agree tho, 4 minutes today is robbery
You’re good, I wasn’t clear
Yea I was expecting 6 minimum
Yes bro lol. There were like 2 VAR reviews that took like 8 mins there. Should’ve been atleast 7 imo
