i think it was a small animal, possibly (hopefully) roadkill that died *before* this particular collision? would explain why everyone was braking on a highway in the first place

It's not. You can look earlier in the video right after the crash and see that it's long and cylindrical.

I don't think that's a body part. Looks more like something that flew off the vehicle like the transmission pan. The oil is sometimes red in transmissions.

If you freeze it at 11, I think it’s the shadow of a piece from one of the cars. When we look at it from the earlier angle it does look like blood but I think that’s just the different color the camera is picking up. It changes in size as the car passes. Makes me think it’s Definitely a shadow.

It’s a broken piece of the left side bumper from the vehicle the got rear-ended. You can see it’s the same color and see the missing piece from the vehicle.

If you slow it down…as they impact, his right arm is flung over his head with some force. Definitely looks like blood by the object. Also, look at the rear of the white car. There’s blood on it. I think his arm was ripped off then hit the back of the white car before it landed on the road.

That’s nothing bloody, it’s a shadow being cast by the object “looks like part of the of the front cars bumper”in the light of the rear car. the red is light from the taillight

I do think everyone is OK in this situation, but Instagram telling you everyone is ok isn't a reliable source. I saw a car get flattened by a concrete truck in an intersection with the caption "everyone is okay!" The cab was completely flat, and there would be no walking away from that, yet the caption said everyone was safe, probably to dodge moderation

I’ve slowed this down so many times! They didn’t die! Someone else was driving because they are out the sunroof when they hit and you can see the dude looking right at the car in front of them. He probably yelled at the driver and just before they hit their brakes came on! Just too late! So whoever was driving wasn’t watching the road! The two out the sunroof probably just got some fucked up ribs and serious whiplash! That’s not a head or any other body part on the road. It’s from the engine bay and just pouring out whatever fluid was in it.

This car probably doesn't have it, you can see that the driver (3rd person in the car) starts braking right before the hit happens, or maybe it was turned off for some reason
