You mean destroy everything? Yeah just spend $20 on Teardown. Every month for 2 weeks they have it on sale for $20 cause they can’t anyone to buy it. Prob boring af
> Every month for 2 weeks they have it on sale for $20 cause they can’t anyone to buy it. Prob boring af
Is this about Teardownn or Destroy Everything? Cause Teardown is super fun, especially when modded. They need to add a multiplayer feature if they haven’t already
I consider myself lucky because I didn't buy Cyberpunk until about a year ago when it was on sale, and I immediately fell in love with it.
It is objectively a great game in its current state.
I think it's one of the best games ever. But i finished it on the original release build, so i might enjoy this game more than the average person. Still the dlc is awesome imo. I would advise you to give it another try, at the very least.
It's pretty great for a one time playthrough of the story or just to play it as a combat simulator. I just have a savepoint after Jackie's death where I just go back to kill things over and over. Knife gameplay is very very fun
The life paths offer minor meaningless extra things to a story youve already done and the endings are based on making specific choices I wouldnt have made. I saw the ending I would have I watched the other endings on youtube to see what other people would have saw, Im not playing the story more than once and picking things I wouldnt have picked. I specifically hate the brain dance parts and Im not going to go through them again and again so I can see other endings. Without the brain dance maybe because Im already killing things but seriously the brain dances make me hate the game. How many hours have I spent just going through the motions to get stopped for a couple minutes before I can click the next button so I can be stopped some more before clicking the next one. Sure its good story telling so its worth going the first time but it makes it unplayable after that. Its genuinely unfun unskippable garbage after youve already done it.
I replaced the game 3 times, it's got massive changes to story love interest and endings.
Also going with different build is generally different experience all together.
Sounds like this wasn't the game for you but to say its minor / meaningless is pretty unfair. Game is amazing.
There is no skill to brainwaves its literally sit through dialogue and press a button to sit through more dialogue. It's a movie within a game that repeats itself. Worse its a movie you have to do a rubics cube twisting and turning to get to the next part of the movie.
Is a poorly made fps game with some number popping up on hit, and on top of that the enemy ai is incredibly non responsive. Even 100% functional it's a vapid experience.
That's barely the tutorial, I'm not even sure you can properly get into the story or even be introduced to the factions on the island that quickly.
I'm a little biased, I love AA games, especially spiders' stuff, they are clearly talented and ambitious, with their lack of budget being their biggest issue, of course like any mid budget artistic group they have the independence to really take risks. Greedfall, once you get into the story and hit a few beats, is a very politically minded game, balancing your reputation with 3 or 4 different groups, as well as your own morality, it's all about colonialism and examining your views on it. A bigger budget would have been great but no one with that money would touch a story like this.
Like any long open world RPG it can take a bit until you get completely hooked, a great example is The Witcher 3 because i often here how people drop it again and again until they eventually get hooked and suddenly it's a masterpiece.
Used to be bad. After the new updates it’s very fun. There’s still a long way to go but a real game exists and is very fun if you’re willing to deal with the bugs. I don’t know if I’d recommend it to first timers but for veterans who know how to deal with semi present bugs it’s a super fun time. I had a great time with it after the science update.
ive had an NPC spawn with his torso in the floor. gave me good laugh though. and another one through a table at the bar. have played around 5hours only.
The story really is awful, with the slight exception of the Sebastian Sallow quest line. I was pretty disappointed that the side quests didn't really have any effect on the main story. I spent the final level casting crucio and avada kedavra in front of all my teachers but there were zero repercussions.
I actually thought the combat system was one of the more interesting aspects of the game. It was just the story and repetitive tasks that started to bore me
This was my 1st thought.
I think a lot of people don't realise just how good the graphics were in this game. The poor reviews of the story and gameplay just put too many people off.
Character facial animations in particular are the best the industry has ever seen. I'm not joking.
Literally. Iirc every object in the game was modeled using soft-body physics for extremely realistic collision and destructability. And then it's a bog-standard cover shooter with a runtime of about six hours.
Respectfully disagree. If you try to go for as many melee kills as possible and take more risk in the combat scenes it can be quite engaging. But even these moments when the gunplay really gets going are few and thin.
If there weren't so many stupid slow stealth scenes it'd be much more bearable. And of course the fights with the werewolfs should have been anything other then what they were.
...man I wish this game was better. The setting and lore were quite brilliant.
This. First played it before years and recently got it again via gamepass.
It was improved A LOT. Considering that Hello Games still does major updates since 2016! and doesn't want money for DLCs etc. I consider Hello Games as one of the fairest and most customer friendly developer studios out there now.
I don't know any other one time purchase, non subscription game with that amount of developer support for 8 years now!
[No mans sky release log](https://www.nomanssky.com/release-log/)
The gameplay really is good now Imo. Especially if you consider how technically extremly advanced the universe and world generator of no mans sky is.
Was there sexual stuff outside of the rapey vending machine? I only made it to the part where you escape the facility until I got bored, luckily it was a ganepass game.
Yeah it totally wasn't the sick narrative, well written characters, the amazing music and detailed world or having arguably the best side quests ever. Nah, people definetly only played it because it has some normal 10sec cutscene.
Don't get me wrong, gamers are a horny bunch, but that's not why it was popular lol.
Which was a damn shame. I had it on my wishlist since 2018. It was gonna be an insane game. Unfortunately it looks like it went for quantity over quality and succumbed to wanting numbers
personally, the combat felt a whole lot devoid of life, all the swirling rpg ui and crap turns me off, and the way there are barriers where there shouldn’t be that effectively stop cool takedowns in their tracks gets annoying (i.e, fighting zombies on top of a vehicle, kick zombies off, boundary prevents zombie from falling)
They took out guns, vehicles, and changed the core mechanics around for the worse. Parkour is fun for the first few hours but gets old real fast. There are still mods, but they make almost no difference as they all function the same. Don't bother getting attached to any weapons you do mod either, as they all break after a few minuets, and aside from exploiting a charm you get endgame there's no way to repair them. Lots of time you will be doing something, and because the time of day changed where you want to go becomes filled with enemies that 1 shot you so your forced to go sleep at a shelter.
2 is great now. Questionable at launch. I loved 1 so I was able to make it through 2 and appreciate the differences, but objectively it is in a much better place now.
Dude honestly. I try to keep it fair but I always max out resource harvesting damage and resource yield along with weight capacity (usually I put weight past the max actually, like 10 instead of 6) because I can’t justify spending multiple hours just to something bigger than a log cabin
For real. Stop making pretty games that are awfully boring to play.
At least they broke their mold and have a hit with helldivers 2.
The day I never see another GoW (like 2018, the original trilogy is cool), TLOU or Uncharted can not come soon enough.
They had good games on ps2, but I haven't liked anything else they made since. Og God of War was dope, new God of War felt like baby shit with worse gameplay than the ps2 game somehow. Killzone was wanna be halo, with none of the fun. Uncharted and last of us just pale in comparison to gears of war. 360 era xbox just had better exclusives. Now most exclusives just suck.
Yeah, Sony first party titles have gotten quite trite. I'm obviously in the minority here, given how well they sell and are reviewed, but I would love to see some originality out of those studios.
Its gameplay is boring, easy and sturdy (uncomfortable). Mission structure is super linear and choreographed. Arthur sometimes wants to control itself making the player a tool rather than a player.
Every event the game presents you is super shallow (mash buttons) or a game of Simon says. You either do as told or lose, and at endgame those "world events" are just distractions the game puts you.
Money has no significance because by chapter 2 you already have thousands of dollars just from the main missions, and camp progression is almost useless and meaningless.
I wanted to be a badass cowboy robbing banks and trains, but that doesn't work in the free roam and it makes no sense or whatsoever when money actually doesn't worth anything.
At the end of the day, RDR2 is an outdoor game simulator because it just doesn't work being a renegade cowboy and you end up doing mundane and shallow activities to enjoy the beautiful world.
A lot of your points are valid but some people enjoy do enjoy doing tasks such as hunting, robbing banks and trains just for the sake of doing it and experiencing it. RDR2 does this better than any other game with its great attention to detail that makes these shallow experience so different and immersive every time you attempt it.
Rdr2 is not everyone's cup of tea but for the audience it caters to there really is no game that does it better
You can't even rob banks in free roam tho, you could in rdr1 which is weird because rdr1 isn't even about being a bandit. John is a bounty hunter in rdr1 but you can do more outlaw type stuff in it than the prequel that IS about the outlaw life.
Oh man strong disagree. I absolutely love the combat in that game.
That being said, I don't play a lot of the "team action" genre, so this is the first time since Ultimate Alliance (or maybe even Age of Apocalypse) that i was really feeling that vibe.
If other games do that thing better I am *all ears* because I really enjoy that style of play.
Preparing for downvotes but Red Dead Redemption 2. Amazing graphics, story, sound, world building. Gameplay is super dated Xbox 360 era stuff. Get mission, ride to objective, kill guys, repeat. Super linear and boring.
In my opinion, Baldurs gate. Though to be honest, graphics aren’t really that optimized for the device I play on, I have just seen the quality on a ps5.
All of those 200 dollar games on steam
200$? Wow
No Diablo
Diavlo is way more expensive
When you live in countries like Australia and New Zealand some AAA games get to $140
Those are disgusting
What game on steam goes for $200???
You mean destroy everything? Yeah just spend $20 on Teardown. Every month for 2 weeks they have it on sale for $20 cause they can’t anyone to buy it. Prob boring af
> Every month for 2 weeks they have it on sale for $20 cause they can’t anyone to buy it. Prob boring af Is this about Teardownn or Destroy Everything? Cause Teardown is super fun, especially when modded. They need to add a multiplayer feature if they haven’t already
Destroy everything. Teardown is fuckin fun. I agree, they do need to add multiplayer. Especially for sandbox mode
Cyberpunk at release
Is it good now? I bought the game at release and didn't finish it cause it was bad
Let those updates download. It is a much better game now.
Alright, once I finish my current game, I'll re-download it
My dude, it is so worth it now that it's fixed and the dlc is 🤌
I consider myself lucky because I didn't buy Cyberpunk until about a year ago when it was on sale, and I immediately fell in love with it. It is objectively a great game in its current state.
It’s incredible
It is amazing now. One of the best ever. Very few issues
You just spoiled it for me 😭😭😭 probably my fault for scrolling so far tho
His death was literally in the trailer for the game like, everyone knew before they started playing.

Also cyberpunk currently in my honest opinion. Graphics and storytelling are unreal but I find the gameplay janky and a bit boring.
Is a poorly made fps game with some number popping up on hit, and on top of that the enemy ai is incredibly non responsive. Even 100% functional it's a vapid experience.
A plagues tale. Gameplay is pretty meh but story and graphics were enough to keep the player hooked.
Definitely. Gameplay did its job well enough but it was rough around the edges.
I just viewed that game like a movie. The gameplay was just requisite to watch the cutscenes lmao
It was so immersive, especially in French
Greedfall, was really disappointed.
I very much enjoyed it
A bit of poison on my blade, and let's go!
Does armor ever get better?
What do you mean armor?
The outfits and stuff, felt very one-note the 5 hours I played the game
I mean what kind of armor do you want? Are you talking about design or stats?
It’s been awhile, just seemed a little tired of it so quickly. How many hours did you have on it?
Finished it in December 2021, xbox says 2 days and 4 hours.
Do you think the first 5-6 hours aren’t as good as the rest of the game?
That's barely the tutorial, I'm not even sure you can properly get into the story or even be introduced to the factions on the island that quickly. I'm a little biased, I love AA games, especially spiders' stuff, they are clearly talented and ambitious, with their lack of budget being their biggest issue, of course like any mid budget artistic group they have the independence to really take risks. I thought greedfall was great. Excellent graphics, neat story, fun gameplay. Limited replay value sure.
KSP2
Used to be bad. After the new updates it’s very fun. There’s still a long way to go but a real game exists and is very fun if you’re willing to deal with the bugs. I don’t know if I’d recommend it to first timers but for veterans who know how to deal with semi present bugs it’s a super fun time. I had a great time with it after the science update.
Yeah
i can just feel the resounding disappointment here lmao
Literally most modern triple A releases.
Hogwarts Legacy. The castle and the Hogsmeade were very well done but the gameplay loop is just soooooooo repetitive.
YOU CAN'T IMAGINE HOW INCONVENIENT TRAVEL WAS BEFORE I INVENTED FLOO POWDER
REVELIO
REVELIO
The forced animation whenever you'd finish one of those Merlin trials...
Or when you accidentally start petting a cat and can't stop
It happens to the best of us
Happens in real life too
Not to mention the game is glitchy AF. I don’t know why I don’t see it mentioned more.
ive had an NPC spawn with his torso in the floor. gave me good laugh though. and another one through a table at the bar. have played around 5hours only.
Yeah, I lost steam after the first 10 hours. The environment was great but I just wasn’t interested in what was happening
The story really is awful, with the slight exception of the Sebastian Sallow quest line. I was pretty disappointed that the side quests didn't really have any effect on the main story. I spent the final level casting crucio and avada kedavra in front of all my teachers but there were zero repercussions.
The combat is actually boring as shit, but the game looks beautiful
I actually thought the combat system was one of the more interesting aspects of the game. It was just the story and repetitive tasks that started to bore me
The game is good and you shouldn't be allowed to play it. The weakness is only the lack of creature types.
If you like repetition, maybe it is
You should be in Azkaban
Another one...
Callisto Protocol is a very beautiful (and gross) game. But man that combat and story are ROUGH sometimes
This was my 1st thought. I think a lot of people don't realise just how good the graphics were in this game. The poor reviews of the story and gameplay just put too many people off. Character facial animations in particular are the best the industry has ever seen. I'm not joking.
And the performances of the main cast are solid too. I would love to see a sequel where they polish up the combat and story. But that's doubtful now.
Am I the only one who actually liked the combat?
Combat is only rough in the outside parts, any other time the enemies surround you and attack one at a time
Not at launch. I remember a lot of frustration with it.
Starfield
Nah, the games pretty and the gameplay is good. The flaw was the planets, they shot too close to the stars.
The Order: 1886
Literally. Iirc every object in the game was modeled using soft-body physics for extremely realistic collision and destructability. And then it's a bog-standard cover shooter with a runtime of about six hours.
I remember audibly going “that’s *it*?” When I finished it
Respectfully disagree. If you try to go for as many melee kills as possible and take more risk in the combat scenes it can be quite engaging. But even these moments when the gunplay really gets going are few and thin. If there weren't so many stupid slow stealth scenes it'd be much more bearable. This is the one
It had PS5 graphics on a PS4 launch game. I’m convinced it was only made to show how good the graphics can get on a ps4 and that’s it.
It absolutely does not have ps5 graphics lmao
I was exaggerating but it’s graphics were great
All playstation shooters until hell divers 2 honestly.
No Man's Sky
Much better now, although the gameplay does feel niche at times.
This. First played it before years and recently got it again via gamepass. It was improved A LOT. Suicide squad
Atomic Heart
The gameplay is ok. It was all the sexual stuff that made me not want to play it though.
All that what now
[удалено]
Please do not the toaster
You had my attention, but now you have my interest.
Was there sexual stuff outside of the rapey vending machine? I only made it to the part where you escape the facility until I got bored, luckily it was a ganepass game.
That was ironically what made Witcher 3 so popular.
I fell asleep during the absurdly long cutscene before the action started. After that it just felt meh.
Crispy critters... Fuck that dude, badly written MC, enemy respawns and repetitive gameplay made it just, ugh.
Yeah if you’re gonna make a voiced protag at least make him somewhat likable, jesus
Atomic heart has awesome gameplay. I liked it
Which was a damn shame. I had it on my wishlist since 2018. It was gonna be an insane game. Unfortunately it looks like it went for quantity over quality and succumbed to wanting numbers
First thing that came to my mind.
Wait until people find out that liking a video game is subjective and everyone has different opinions just to get mad.
Its fun to see differing opinions!
Alan Wake 2 easy. One of the best looking games ever made strapped to some of the least engaging gameplay in recent memory
Dying Light 2. Graphics looked great, but man was the gameplay a huge step down from the first.
In what way was the gameplay a huge step down? I loved 1 and looking to get 2 unless its that bad
personally, the combat felt a whole lot devoid of life, all the swirling rpg ui and crap turns me off, and the way there are barriers where there shouldn’t be that effectively stop cool takedowns in their tracks gets annoying (i.e, fighting zombies on top of a vehicle, kick zombies off, boundary prevents zombie from falling)

gonna be honest, I think DL2 is way better than DL1, pretty much my go to "I'm bored, guess I'll play this" game
Ark.
The game play isn't bad once you lower the grind with settings. Just shit man the community's toxic as hell
Dude honestly. I try to keep it fair but I always max out resource harvesting damage and resource yield along with weight capacity (usually I put weight past the max actually, like 10 instead of 6) because I can’t justify spending multiple hours just to something bigger than a log cabin
Diablo 4 😂😂
D4 has great gameplay. It just fumbled the end game. If you didn't like the gameplay arpg's just aren't for you I guess.
I’m going to sound like a massive hypocrite but I have over 1,5k hours in diablo 4😂 but that doesn’t change fact I still think gameplay is weak 😂
What happened to that car?
It couldn't turn, so couldn't go anywhere for maintenance...
That's so sad it's almost funny
Had bad gameplay….
Gotham knights
Any Kingdom Hearts Title barely for the GamePlay however Every Basic Shootey and SportsBall
Graphics for modern shooters and sports games have taken a nose dive as of late (Maybe with the exception of FC24)
KH2 has one of the best combat systems ever made and KH1 was really solid as well. Granted that's like 2 out of the 13 games in the series lol
Avatar
My first thought as well.
The bottom photo has better graphics
Calisto protacal
Forspoken
Starfield
Dude star field struggles to look meh on high end PCs I would argue it’s the opposite
It's meh on both IMO. Visuals are a little better after the lighting update, but still not incredible. Gameplay is just ok
That's the opposite lol. The graphics are ok to good at best. The gameplay is pretty great
The gunk
Call of duty
Assassins creed valhalla, mirage...
The last of us part 2
I'd argue that's the opposite. The gameplay was fantastic, but the story was ass.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Most Sony games.

Yeah, Sony first party titles have gotten quite trite. I'm obviously in the minority here, given how well they sell and are reviewed, but I would love to see some originality out of those studios.
Uncharted and that Werewolf PS4 game.
Yes. Uncharted so terrible that they made a movie about it.
RDR2
That was the last game i thought i would see here
Its gameplay is boring, easy and sturdy (uncomfortable). Mission structure is super linear and choreographed. Arthur sometimes wants to control itself making the player a tool rather than a player. Thanks for explaining it perfectly. I also felt that the controls and movement were pretty bad.
I was ready to disagree, but you're right
A lot of your points are valid but some people enjoy do enjoy doing tasks such as hunting, robbing banks and trains just for the sake of doing it and experiencing it. They hate you for speaking truth
It’s a hard truth for some.
I agree I feel the same about RDR2 as every other Rockstar game. Very pretty, good story, and boring to play.
GoW 2018. Not sorry, this is the worst of the main story games
Most boring GoW ever
Kingdom Hearts 3
Any EA game not made by respawn.
Dead Space would like to know your location
Halo 4
Idk, Its not that bad... maybe Halo 5 fits better (?)
Modern Ubisoft games
Not all though. In some of them graphics don't look really good too
Mostly the worlds look good even if some are empty. I’m mostly talking about AC and far cry
gotham knights
Skull and bones. Gameplay is a 4/10 World of warships Like game. But it's graphics are decent
WWE 2K23
FF7R
Red Dead Redemption 2
Gta v
I got massive down votes on another thread for suggesting gta 6 is gonna suck. Hahahaha, you are in for it putting that game here!
Red Dead 2
This is Red Dead 2 for me
Whoa, that’s quite the take. What didn’t you like about RDR2’s gameplay?
Fallout 4
Red dead redemption @

Oh man strong disagree. I absolutely love the combat in that game. Horizon zero dawn and forbidden west.
Th American dream, and how it really Is.
Maybe I'll get downvoted but RDR2
Red dead redemption 2. Very pretty but also very boring and slow. Animations to pick up everything, skin, drop carcass.
Alan Wake 2
Preparing for downvotes but Red Dead Redemption 2. Amazing graphics, story, sound, world building. Gameplay is super dated Xbox 360 era stuff. Get mission, ride to objective, kill guys, repeat. Super linear and boring.
In my opinion, Baldurs gate. Though to be honest, graphics aren’t really that optimized for the device I play on, I have just seen the quality on a ps5.
How is the gameplay for a literal Dungeons and Dragons game not good? Lol. What a bizarre take.
Breath of the Wild
Live service games!
Most 1st Sony and Xbox first party games. Most triple A games in general these days.
Mafia 3
Cyberpunk 2077.
Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2. Yes, I liked them but janky controls.
Far Cry 1
Borderlands 3
Destiny 2. (Modern Day)
