I don't understand why anyone would ever want to spend this amount of time on any element in any game ever. You even admit that it wasn't gratifying once you beat him. I'm not sure why people continue to support shit like this in gaming.
Yeah no he was great. Actually beat him without cheesy tactics or a high level friend that's mastered the game carrying me. The elden ring dlc has a dragon like him, maybe harder but you have more tools to deal with him. The strong dragons are such fun bosses.
Technique. Pretty balanced. I use the Azure Glaive. Aegis. I think I need to play around with my p organ and build myself just for this fight. I think it’s just gonna take me a damn few days to do it. I will not hand over my heart.
Im normally a Mario Completionist. Darker side and long journeys end, special levels in SM World, champions road from 3d world, beat them all.
But the perfect run made me say fuck this shit
Hardest level I've ever done in a Mayo game was the pinball machine from Sunshine. That one isn't hard but fun like Wobblewok (The mf in the image) it's just awful
The funny thing, that it took me two weeks that defeat him. When I looked at the walkthrough on youtube... people beat him with all the characters in 5 minutes, just blocking all of his attacks...
Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Those nanomachines were too strong and I think I upgraded the wrong items as I played through the game lol
Malenia is very hard yes, but compared to the DLC endboss she is honestly rather easy.
She gives you time to run, heal, dodge. Yes she dodges ranged attacks but you can often still hit her.
On the DLC boss you are constantly under pressure, you never have time to cast a ranged attack or heal, hell you don't even have time to regen stamina between his combos sometimes.
The tyrant at the end of code Veronica X. Only because when I got there I was low health with no healing and there's no way to travel back somewhere to get health. It's basically impossible. This game breaking type bug also happened to me in final fantasy 8.
The final boss of the Elden Ring DLC (spoilers since it's still new): >!Promised Consort Radahn!<
The guy makes Orphan of Kos look positively chill and laid-back by comparison.
I haven't gotten to the final boss before so idk if it's harder but the stage 5(I think it's 5 but I could be wrong it's the one on the boat). I always use at least a whole continue on those stupid blaze knockoffs.
Gabriel in both fights in Ultrakill for the first time, most restarts and checkpoints I've had for any boss fight in a game.
Honorable mention: flesh prison and Minos prime, the flesh prison was really fucking annoying due to it healing itself while bombarding me with projectiles and Minos prime just exposing the massive skill issue I had
Deidara in Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 for the Wii...I broke a controller. he spams his explosives, and they take like half your life bar. Took me 3 months to beat his ass, the final boss. And you're playing as a tailed form of Naruto, too, so you'd think it'd be easy.
Edit: changed the game to Clash of Ninja Revolution 3
Absolute Virtue in FFXI. If I recall correctly, some groups spent something like 20+ hours straight fighting and still never beat it. Devs had to nerf it before anyone could claim the kill. I'm one of the ones who didn't get to.
Radiant absolute radiance from Hollowknight
It is the hitless version of the final boss and I wasted 2 weeks of my life on that.
(and probably some of my sanity too)
Honestly recently it's been the optional duel in NIOH of the samurai that uses lighting and runs at you in a dash attack
My build is
Kusurigama
Throwing axes
Ninjuteu
Oni magic
This is gonna sound real bad, but Gabriel, Judge of Hell on Brutal difficulty. So used to the second encounter version I forgot how to fight the first.
As someone who has beaten hell in spelunky and platinumed the Crash Bandicoot NST, the fang fight at the end of sonic superstars is complete bullshit on a level beyond 99% of platformer bosses
That's the beauty of Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring/etc...
I remember dreading coming up to certain bosses in every one of these games, due to what I had heard about them. I would then only take a few tries. Conversely, other "easier" bosses would wipe the floor with me.
The boss difficulty made no sense to me in that game. I beat a bunch of bosses first try and others that were allegedly easy I had to cheese. Pretty big letdown overall honestly.
The Clashing Fists Brachydios from Monster Hunter 3U.
Easily above anything else in the franchise or anything Fromsoft has ever made imo. That’s including the Elden Ring DLC as well.
Idk prolly something from Sekiro
Isshin made me take a 2 month break
Took me two days probably like 14 hours in total. I wasn't even happy when I finally beat him. I was mentally drained and had enough lol.
idk why you’re getting downvoted for this
I don't understand why anyone would ever want to spend this amount of time on any element in any game ever. You even admit that it wasn't gratifying once you beat him. I'm not sure why people continue to support shit like this in gaming.
A lot of people like the challenge. I just wanted to see if I could do it. I don't get much gratification from Souls games anymore.
A good challenge has always been fun
Shao Khan in the arcade as a kid
Shao Kahn in MK3 was cheap AF lol
his stupid rush forward spam. HAH.....HAH.........HAH.........HAH......
Oh yes
kintaro on super nintendo.
Dr Kahl’s Robot in Cuphead
It's probably Lingering Will from Kingdom Hearts 2. Or something from Dark Souls.
Sister friede drove me crazy, none of the other souls bosses were quite as bad. I still haven't beaten her legitimately
Did you ever fight Darkeater Midir in that dlc? My all time favorite fromsoft boss and also arguably one of the hardest Dark Souls bosses ever.
Yeah no he was great. Actually beat him without cheesy tactics or a high level friend that's mastered the game carrying me. The elden ring dlc has a dragon like him, maybe harder but you have more tools to deal with him. The strong dragons are such fun bosses.
Driver, the start to get out of the parking garage
I’m on nameless puppet right now in lies of p and I want to burn my house down.
It took me days to beat it. What's your build? I think changing to a high strength build helped me in the end.
Technique. Pretty balanced. I use the Azure Glaive. Aegis. I think I need to play around with my p organ and build myself just for this fight. I think it’s just gonna take me a damn few days to do it. I will not hand over my heart.
Not a boss, but a level, The Perfect Run in Super Mario Galaxy 2. God that one still frustrates me when I think about it
Im normally a Mario Completionist.
Chaos from Dissidia Final Fantasy.
What a cheap asshole man
The funny thing, that it took me two weeks that defeat him. When I looked at the walkthrough on youtube... people beat him with all the characters in 5 minutes, just blocking all of his attacks...
Yeah but that's not nearly as fun or satisfying
Well I'm currently being curb stomped by the final Elden Ring DLC boss, so that's a contender for sure.
Mr. Freeze from Batman Arkham City SPECIFICALLY on new game plus
Sword Saint Isshin
Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Those nanomachines were too strong and I think I upgraded the wrong items as I played through the game lol
„I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella“
Malenia is very hard yes, but compared to the DLC endboss she is honestly rather easy. She gives you time to run, heal, dodge. Yes she dodges ranged attacks but you can often still hit her. Sephiroth
metal gear solid 3 the fear without the thermal goggles. quite possibly the best game with the best boss battles.
Godfrey I hated him with a passion even if he was cool.
The tyrant at the end of code Veronica X. Only because when I got there I was low health with no healing and there's no way to travel back somewhere to get health. It's basically impossible. This game breaking type bug also happened to me in final fantasy 8.
Chronica from Mortal Kombat 11, with her cheating ass, and then the Prototype Tyrant from Doom 2016
Genichiro.
The final boss of the Elden Ring DLC (spoilers since it's still new): >!Promised Consort Radahn!< The guy makes Orphan of Kos look positively chill and laid-back by comparison.
Final boss from the erdtree dlc
anything in Sekiro :) any other souls are easy mode if compare
I haven't gotten to the final boss before so idk if it's harder but the stage 5(I think it's 5 but I could be wrong it's the one on the boat). I always use at least a whole continue on those stupid blaze knockoffs.
Malenia in Elden Ring. I haven't played the DLC yet.
Jackal sniper
Super embarrassing, but I'm a 37 year old man that has been gaming my entire life, and I couldn't beat Bowser in Mario Wonder.
Still never beat Jad in RuneScape…
Dahaka from Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.
The first semi boss in Sekiro, I died so many times that I just gave up lol. Mad props to people that are good at the game
The end boss from the elden ring DLC really is something else
Last boss from Ninja Gaiden 2
Sephiroth in kingdom hearts. Still never beat him. Or emerald weapon ogff7.
Deidara in Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 for the Wii...I broke a controller. he spams his explosives, and they take like half your life bar. Took me 3 months to beat his ass, the final boss. Heroic Lei Shen, Throne of Thunder raid in WOW while it was current.
Absolute Virtue in FFXI. If I recall correctly, some groups spent something like 20+ hours straight fighting and still never beat it. Devs had to nerf it before anyone could claim the kill. I'm one of the ones who didn't get to.
Wiegraff from the original Final Fantasy Tactics.
Rhino and scorpion duo
Radiant absolute radiance from Hollowknight It is the hitless version of the final boss and I wasted 2 weeks of my life on that. (and probably some of my sanity too)
Honestly recently it's been the optional duel in NIOH of the samurai that uses lighting and runs at you in a dash attack My build is Kusurigama Throwing axes Ninjuteu Oni magic
This is gonna sound real bad, but Gabriel, Judge of Hell on Brutal difficulty. So used to the second encounter version I forgot how to fight the first.
1v1ing that kids older brother in MW2 on Rust. Still gives me nightmares.
Isidora from Blasphemous
As someone who has beaten hell in spelunky and platinumed the Crash Bandicoot NST, the fang fight at the end of sonic superstars is complete bullshit on a level beyond 99% of platformer bosses
All of bloodborne
That's the beauty of Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring/etc... I remember dreading coming up to certain bosses in every one of these games, due to what I had heard about them. I would then only take a few tries. Conversely, other "easier" bosses would wipe the floor with me.
The boss difficulty made no sense to me in that game. I beat a bunch of bosses first try and others that were allegedly easy I had to cheese. Pretty big letdown overall honestly.
Not technically a boss, but Rainbow Road.
I’d consider it a boss. Especially when you’re playing beerio kart with the boys
Between Midir from Dark Souls 3 and the Ink Sans fangame Shangaivania
Mr. Dream, but some honorable mentions are. Jevil, Nightmare King Grimm, inner agent 3, and chef salt baker.
Oooh Jevil was tough! Took me forever to beat him!
The Trees from Valheim. A perpetual state of “don’t bonk me” especially when your food has run out and you forget to eat while in the zone..
Some of the Yo-Kai Watch bosses are truly ridiculous. Dame Dedtime was pretty annoying.
The Clashing Fists Brachydios from Monster Hunter 3U. Easily above anything else in the franchise or anything Fromsoft has ever made imo. That’s including the Elden Ring DLC as well.
Sly Cooper 1, that damn voodoo gator
Too many to name, but to pick one I'll say Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1
Lately ever Berzerker boss I come across in GOW Ragnarok. So I just leave the fight to go back to the main story.
That one armed guy in the new Jedi game kept me busy for 2 weeks
The Dark Aeons in Final Fantasy X International.
RED PLANT. BLUE PLANT. PURPLE PLANT. *exasperated sigh*
That last mofo
I am Malenia: Blade of Miquella. And I’m a little bitch with a percentile status effect and a move that’s borderline impossible to dodge
Probably Inner Agent 3.
Sub-Zero
Junko from Touhou 15
I am Malenia....blade of miquella
