Dont go into the shoot with a body you dont know. Take your time to set things up and have a good look at it, or you’re gnna fuck things up on the shoot. Your second native iso is 12800. Only in log mind you

ZeyusFilm

Yeah you’re right, never try anything in a shoot you haven’t tested

Re4pr

The menus are next gen as well, the latest updates are 2 gens ahead really. If it was the same gen menus as the one you’re used to, it would probably be okay. But even then, it’s important to sift through your settings beforehand.

HeliconPath

It's not the same. I havn't used the A7iii much but more than enough to tell you to wait and have a go with it first learning all the differences.

WattzKraken

DSLR Video Shooter on YT has a solid starter guide for the a7siii (paid): https://youtu.be/jrPOPCB1oAU?si=65SLXTGZrVRRutyV

Phelly2

I own both. It’s basically the same thing. The buttons are in a different spot. The menu is a bit different. But all of your settings will be virtually the same. They are pretty similar in capabilities.

Raw dogging a new untested camera the day before a shoot got my heart rate going up holy

mulchintime4

raw dogging i love this sub

HesThePianoMan

They both have the worst menu system designed of any camera

A7siii is definitely an improvement over the A7iii in my opinion

Lamescrnm

Iirc the a7iii is capped at 30 min record time in any one go.
