Why not ask a lawyer?

Cheaper than getting screwed by a client… your lawyer, or any good lawyer, should/would have boilerplate contracts almost ready to go for you.

I had a lawyer who specializes in film draw up a few different contracts for different scenarios that my operations person can customize for each new client and they cost me around $2500 each. Money well spent because they’re so detailed and I am covered in every way I could possibly need to be, and then some. I had them drafted in 2018, and at the time I thought it was insane that there was a clause stating that deposits were not returned even in the event of a disaster, including a pandemic. In March of 2020 I was glad I had that in place.
