If there is proper protection from the dangers of the Nether, then yes.

Imafraidofducks12

it is possible, but will require large amounts of planning

chango137

That's a wide spectrum of maybe. Are we talking about wandering through an unattended portal into a wild region of Nether? A guided tour via minecart with a return ticket? Four star accommodations at an extended-stay? Without player intervention I would highly discourage it.

hocus_pocus-ppp

Mainly yes, because most mobs there won't attack them, but also you know how villagers are so you better not leave them unprotected or they ARE going to jumpo into lava. Also depending on if you want them to live there, you should keep an eye on if their profession is viable there. btw beds in the nether work for them.

CriticalsSupport

Depends on the biome they came from, their profession (try farming in the nether.), and the defenses.

robotmatt23

Yes,if protected. BUT soulsand valley and basalt deltas are off limits for villagers unless EXTREMELY PROTECTED (I'm talking nothing less than a windowless obsidian box

ilikequiche

As long as they’re protected from fire and fall damage they should be fine. I think they’re happier in the overworld though.

adityagrga00

Maybe cause if they have protection with slabs to stop mob spawning obsidian or netherite layer then it's safe but if not then it's like suicide for them

intimidating-soup

Yes it’s soooooooo safe. Oh there’s *lava* in the nether? Eh that’s ok doesn’t matter because normal villagers would be smart and stay to the land HOWEVER the nitwits just DIVE right in

wickedface09

You better watch them like a hawk if want their safety in the nether
