You can also find an old version of PowerISO that can mount ISO files (that you've ported over via USB) like disks. I use it on my 2K machine all the time. If you have a modern windows system and you can get them on the same network you'd probably enjoy faster transfer speeds just using file sharing.
If you want the full vintage experience, don’t forget to install Winamp, Winzip, RealPlayer, Nero, Limewire, and that Trojan/spamware that would put a dancing girl on your taskbar. Also make sure you stick to IE6.0 so that you don’t miss out on any pop-ups or viruses.
I'd only use it to interact with this particular usb IRDA dongle I bought. It only has drivers available for 98/ME/XP and I have tried everything under the sun to force Windows 10 to accept it. I'd probably just run XP on A VM though.

Check out this site. There is a disk image with an activation key. But keep in mind that ISO in English so you better not to use it if you don’t know it well.

I don't see a sound icon.. I have nightmares trying to find the correct SBLive! drivers. I wish you have an easier one :)
I always opened device manager to look up the ven and dev IDs. Usually made it easier to find drivers. Just don’t fall for the scam driver websites.
I did this too. Was kind of fun searching out all the drivers I needed.
What makes my situation even worse is that I don’t have a disk drive nor floppy
USB ports? If your USB is formatted in NTFS or FAT 32, you can load up drivers just fine. It’ll likely only be slow speed USB, but it’s good enough.
Shit. thanks for the advice, I hadn't thought about that at all
Hey no problem! I also used it to install old games and then did the “No CD” mod for Diablo and Warcraft. My next project is to get Sacrifice working.

First thing I do is switch to classic interface, don't like my computer looking like a cartoon.

I'm already on my way, thanks for the advice!
I am seriously considering doing this just to get a particular 20+ year old usb device to work lol. I have no other use for windows XP otherwise
Well, just to be nostalgic, yes, but it can’t be used normally for its intended purpose

How did you activate it. I had an install but refused to continue to run after 30 days. I have a legit license. Old IBM desktop with P4.

Too cool! Isn't it sad that Microsoft can no longer produce an OS that's even half as good?
That double bevel on the monitor is really messing with my mind
Yup! quite an unwise decision imao
