1 definitely. I’ve never been a fan of displaying records on the wall since their uniformity makes it look kinda sterile and you can typically find concert posters for pretty cheap. If anyone’s wondering where you can get the Ziggy Stardust poster, it’s on swissted.com lots of very cool stuff and the artist is a nice guy. I got my Velvet Underground one at the MoMA in NY, iirc.
I don't know your space, but I find picture one far more visually interesting than picture two. The grid of record covers is totally meh to me; the mish-mash of sizes, frame colors, and shapes in the first picture gives your eye something to move around and discover. Our setup isn't identical, but we have something similar; we display the record currently being played on a small stand near the player, but the wall is a mix of concert posters, artwork from friends and local artists, photographs of weird things we find on vacation, and plants.
Asking for knowledge is never stupid. 🤟
The speakers can produce a vibration, especially from the low frequency. The needle can pick up on those vibrations, especially if the surface is wood, just like a microscope would, creating a feedback, which would create a humming sound.
The higher the volume is, the higher the vibration. the higher the vibrations is, the high is the humming sound.
Hope this helps. 🫡
Picture one is like a congested freeway. Picture two, the sideways books with lamps on them is just too cluttery. Books go on a shelf and organized and vertical. I've never seen so much stuff so close together on a single wall. An abomination of using negative space or lack thereof. I install large artwork sometimes with my boss at business buildings and such. Precision, accuracy, execution, and math are all involved in successful display or art litho. Picture one is wildy chaotic. Picture two was done very well. As a physical media enthusiast when it comes to music, the "wall art phrase" makes me cringe everytime. Good luck OP.

This is when I first got my little corner set up. My husband made the shelves for me. Different chair now, dog ate the tree, all the records get bagged-even if they’re on the wall, and now have some rolling bins on the floor filled with records but you get the idea.

This is part of my record room. Showing off record covers is neat but it gets a little tiring sometimes to keep up with.
I had a combination of signed album covers and concert and album promo posters. Took it all down and replaced it with antique movie posters. I'd go with the first one.
They're both gorgeous spaces, but absolutely 1. 2 is just albums in frames, which is nice but so impractical. Also, LOOK I have books EVERYWHERE. I mean, just look at the coffee table. Doubles down on the impractical.

1 for sure
First. But for the love of Vinyl, don’t put the speakers on the same surface as the deck… Please …🤟
This is the way. First one for sure
Ok, time to ask the stupid question to learn something: Why shouldn't one put the speakers on the same surface as the deck?

Okay, thank you so much, I really appreciate the answer! That makes a lot of sense. I'll keep it in mind! (*goes to move my speakers*)
My rocking pleasure. Enjoy the weekend.
first one is more fun
One
definitely 1
1st one. I use posters from live shows I’ve been to for my wall
One for sure
1.
1st. Beautiful and varied.
1
1 but I would increase the gaps a little.
But that means you'd have to get rid of records!
One is good. Nice lived in feel. Two’s tidy but a bit sterile.
neither
I like option 2 🤣
I put records on shelves, art on the wall. That said, I also put books on shelves, but I do have one framed book on the wall.
The first one for sure!
I would love to do a setup like the first picture.
2

THIS is how you do a multi album display.
I recommend using any inserts or lyric sheets in the records you love to frame. That’s what I do
This. I have a Gil Scott-Heron record that came with a picture of him and I really want to frame it
12 x 12 frames like these are perfect for inserts: https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/vinyl-album-frame2?color=037&size=9949

1! Putting LP sleeves on a wall is gonna make the majority of collectors cringe. No?
First one looks better, plus there’s Super Furry Animals
Do you want your record covers to fade and your records & covers be more susceptible to damage?
But “Less is more”…
Both awesome but I’m drawn to 1
1 for sure. It’s way more aesthetically pleasing than the second picture.
Number 1.
One on the left, easily. Not a fan of records displayed on a wall.
I would rather neither on the wall. Use the music to declutter your brain
We’re number 1
Picture #2 is for people posting the records on IG and keeping them sealed without playing them

first is pretty good
1 if you love your Vinyls, 2 if you hate them
1 for sure, 2 will be a dust magnet
They're both gorgeous spaces, but absolutely 1. 2 is just albums in frames, which is nice but so impractical. Also, LOOK I have books EVERYWHERE. I mean, just look at the coffee table. Doubles down on the impractical.
i like the first image.

First one looks more creative and allows for more than just album covers. If I had to choose, I'd go for that one.
Like the second option better
#1 is a much better design. I understand the desire to use #2 because you are actually displaying your music.
First one with spaces. Spread them out.
the first one looks cleaner
They both have such tiny speakers 😞
I love the first option 💖💖
First one - it's both more fun and more interesting.
For me neither, but you do you.
