Alice Cooper’s Killer is another good one with an animal.
Well tbf the format broke up and then ruess made fun. with antonoff and they blew up. I’d bet money that the format does a reunion tour in the next 5 years
Himiko Kikuchi’s[Flying Beagle](https://youtu.be/HHOn8u-c2wk?feature=shared) is my white whale.
Animal themed records that I DO own:
That Dog - That Dog
Jonah Yano - Portrait of a Dog
House (1977) OST.
Untitled Goode Game OST
A whole bunch of Peanuts OST
Khruangbin - Hasta El Cielo / Mordechai
The Marias - Cinema
Masayoshi Takanaka - Seychelles
Beyoncé - Renaissance
Antonio Carlos Jobim - Wave
Mariya Takeuchi - Variety
Ok realizing now that they are mostly dogs and birds lol
Flying Beagle is a special album, I'd like to get my paws on that one too -- if I ever get lucky. Nice deep dig with That Dog. That cover makes me think of Raditude lol... which does have sick artwork and I dig "(If you're wondering if i want you to) i want you to."
House ost is my fav in your collection.
Ha thanks for reminding me that I have to get Raditude! Completely forgot about it. Yeah I’ve pretty much given up hope of finding Flying Beagle. Such a good record, I wish they’d re-press…Maybe if it becomes viral enough like that Rupa album, it will happen.
Oliver and co. Is my favorite of yours by the way!
https://preview.redd.it/u8fkar0u9j8d1.png?width=2159&format=png&auto=webp&s=35ab9b8f4f8408cb6083c2b2e6c6c81ace2ca1a4
They're drawn, but here's a bunch on one cover along with a magical woman. These reissues are stellar btw if you need any of her catalog.
I have the Japanese pressing of that one! I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't see the dogs on Hounds of Love's artwork until recently, I thought the pups were dark cosmos or something
SMH….Really? A Kate Bush album with hoards of fantasy creatures emanating from Kates Bush. 🤭 The subtlety is mind boggling (not), but the creative genius that imagined and got away with this deserves an award IMHO 😎
Never seen this before, luv it!
“Dog and Butterly” - Heart
“Red Octopus” - Jefferson Starship
“Sleeping Gypsy” (Gypsy Moth) - Michael Franks …his best - imho
“Mystery to Me” - Fleetwood Mac …Mandrill or Baboon?
“Teaser and the Fire Cat” - Cat Stevens
Ayyyy (I’m scared of touching the sticker in case it rips the cover lol)

I’ve been meaning to pick up Ohio Players - Honey: https://www.discogs.com/master/91554-Ohio-Players-Honey
Maybe I could put that image on my honey jars… 🫢
Animals Volume 1 & Animals Volume 2 by Pino Calvi. Elephants on the cover, and each track is music representing a different animal.
Here’s one I think this is the elephant track https://youtu.be/UIzkjEllFNg?si=3Q7T5Y62ohKfJLxw
Yo that Oliver and Company just hit me with a full force back hand of nostalgia. I wore out that VHS when I was a kid as it was my going to bed movie for years. Gunna have to go hunting for this now.

Got this one at a Kiwanis thrift shop not too long ago.
I'm sure I have some animal records, but I don't know off the top of my head.
EDIT: I thought of one good one, and that's Fort Bak Lyset by Tusmorke.
That's kinda funny, though. I had always wondered if I was the only person who has a particular "thing" they look out for.
For me, it's albums with cars on them. Especially if they're under $10, if there's a record with even the hint of a 4-wheeled vehicle on it, I buy it before even looking at what it is. I've gotten some pretty great stuff this way. A recent favorite is The Roar of 74 by Buddy Rich.
If anyone has car record recommendations, especially weird obscure ones, definitely let me know! The little "car" section I have is definitely biased a bit towards doo-wop and I could use some other genres! I am trying to grow my Jazz collection, so car-jazz would be great. I do have some gems, though, like Crushin' by The Fat Boys, Surfin' Safari by The Beach Boys, and the re-released version of The Flamingo Trigger by Foxy Shazam.
Ooh, I'll give it a shot! Would look great next to [Put the Hammer Down](https://i.discogs.com/AlNNdR3cxxDSfEQ3GsncHCksvM2YRuYCQ8BpQ5P4Dik/rs:fit/g:sm/q:90/h:538/w:546/czM6Ly9kaXNjb2dz/LWRhdGFiYXNlLWlt/YWdlcy9SLTM3NDA5/MTktMTM0MjQ4MTU5/Ny0yNzYyLmpwZWc.jpeg) lol
Magnolia Electric Co - Songs Ohia
Screaming Abdabs - Dark Side of the Moo (Pink Floyd bootleg)
Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother & Animals
My copy of Armed Forces is the American Version, so it has that elephant on the back instead of front. I guess it can still count.
I'm sure I have more. These are just the first that come to mind.
What a film and song. I picked up my vinyl of it two weeks ago and was hit with so many sad feelings lol, but felt compelled to have it. Now that I think of it, I should get the Plague Dogs ost too. I actually prefer that one to Watership
I like the Oliver one - big fan of Billy Joel and the Ram one also. Those would be my favorite. You could try some white lion or great white. They have animals on their covers.
Star Wars is one of those album I listened to the day it came out and was struck by how solid it was — I really need to go back to it. The kitty artwork is a major plus too
Peter Green- The End Of The Game
Froggie Beaver- From The Pond
Pink Floyd- Atom Heart Mother
Rävjunk- Uppsala Stadshotell Brinner
John Fahey- Live In Tasmania
My favorite critter album I have is Anything Else but the Truth by The Honorary Title!

All good additions for sure, I'll be on the lookout!
I have Animals. which wins since it's really underrated TBH.
I love animals, I could really listen to that record all day, my favorite Floyd
yeah, is a joke amongst floyd fans how every fan loves it but still says it's underrated.
Gilmour's best guitar work ever. The tour the force he puts out half way thru Dogs is collosal...
Rock on, love those epic solos
Beat me to it. It’s so underrated though.
Dog problems is such a good album
Yes, I think everyone should give it a try, it’s stayed under the radar for a while now
Well tbf the format broke up and then ruess made fun. with antonoff and they blew up. I’d bet money that the format does a reunion tour in the next 5 years

I love Japanese pressings! I can't wait to go shopping there one day.
It's worth the trip to Japan for that
SMH….Really? A Kate Bush album with hoards of fantasy creatures emanating from Kates Bush. 🤭 The subtlety is mind boggling (not), but the creative genius that imagined and got away with this deserves an award IMHO 😎 Never seen this before, luv it!
It's a great album, too!

Classic one, always felt this cover had some special power to it — and reminds me of the two bosses in Donkey Kong 64 lol
hiroshi suzuki - cat
The most cat album of them all
probably the best cat themed japanese trombone jazz album of all time!
I like the Oliver one - big fan of Billy Joel and the Ram one also. Those would be my favorite. You could try some white lion or great white. They have animals on their covers.
Hum - You'd Prefer an Astronaut Heartless Bastards - Arrow Wilco - Star Wars and Wilco (the album) Osibisa - s/t and Woyaya King Gizzard - Quarters

Oliver and company is way underrated. The 3 banger combo of “once upon a time in ny city” “why should I worry” and “streets of gold” is unmatched
Billy Joel, Huey Lewis and Bette Midler clean the streets!
