I think they meant it in terms of overall effect in the results of the battle. Several players have shown that you don’t need PC at all. But if you do need to use it then normal repair works fine for most bots until it reaches 200k base durability (sorry this is from my poor memory). At that point the advanced repair would be better. If you’re F2P then you could skip using PCs and probably do fine.

I use more power cells on accident than I do on purpose

Pibo1987

As f2p I’ve never had issues having all the pc I need honestly

it does require some grinding tho, right?

Pibo1987

Mostly ad-watching. The rest operation and leaderboards. Edit: and chests of course

I'm doing that. You must be a veteran player to know that. ![img](emote|t5_3al50|13092)![img](emote|t5_3al50|13095)

I posted this on Reddit last night. It's expensive for low spenders like me. So I tried not using Advanced repair modules but started running out of bots in battles. Then, I decided to use regular repair amps and was surprised at how well they do. If you don't want to be spending too much money then I would definitely advise doing this. I'm finally not running out. And as a low spender, all I buy is Operations R and Sometimes E. R gives me all the power cells I need but I do grind a lot also, I will say that. Also, someone advised moving the biuuton on your screen to a different position so your more aware of using them.

as f2p myself I use the normal repair and activate only if it's strictly necessary, you can argue advanced repair for tank bots and it surely makes them tankier and maybe it's worth it but most of the time if I need to activate that I think I'm in a pickle and I will die anyways a super easy thing to do if you have like 1k+ PC, let's say 2314: I would just use it and stop using PC as it reaches 2000 and wait for the next batch of daily PC

yes.

I've found that squishy bots don't really need repair units. The phase shift works well, and cover tanks, on the other hand, need advanced repair but really depends on your hangar and play style

I use regular repair amps for most bots, and advanced repair for tanks like Fenrir. If you’re f2p, I’d highly suggest implementing the “Quartermaster” skill for all your pilots once you have the time to do so. It reduces the amount of power cells consumed, so in the long run it can help quite a bit.

A happy mix?
