My new pick from yesterday
Silvergate capital
Banking and loan services company that focuses on ShitKoink
52 week low was 56
Took up some July 15 p for 45 yesterday
Rebought put on COIN after good profits on the 60 puts. Now got 50p.
Also puts on LWLG are printing cause that shit has no revenue with a half a billion market cap and 19 employees? Lol
Gonna buy Calls on CXM for earnings. These cloud applications seem to be having good upside movements on their earnings recently
Ya the 60p were for June 24 so I sold these at nearly 100% profits. I knew cryptponzis were going to be the #1 things sold in a recession to provide liquidity for actual important irl financial assets.
Now I got COIN 50p for July 08. Since the PPI and FED rates are coming up we'll see how markets react. IMO, 20 or so days is plenty enough time for us to see if Te ther actually holds up and other stable doubloons
MSTR just mining and mining and not selling is like VALE making piling all their iron ore up in a mountain in the desert instead of selling it. Not a good business model.
Or somebody buying up all the uranium or gold or silver and locking it in a vault. Hmmmmmmm .....
Oh for some reason I thought they had a warehouse full of miners.
So all they do is take investors money and use it to buy on the open market and sit on it? Why would anybody invest in them instead of buying themselves if that is the case?

i dont think these 3x leveraged dogshit etfs will do well this decade. volatility will eat away their gains. we had a very benign decade due to low inflation and the Fed put.
I would accept 1.5x leverage on the Qs and nothing more
I remember reading some study that posited that the ideal form of leverage is 2.73x, which is why most of the big leveraged indexes use 3x
(but yeah obviously in the coming circumstances even that is going to be too much)

how's japan doing? did the central bank really stop buying bonds at 2.5 and is looking at a credit default? i mean, US yield curve inverted so it's probably not any better over there
Japan is not having a good time. With inflation still not really affecting them M/M and them having trouble controlling their debt, it's not a fun time to someone invested in Japanese assets I would imagine

Supposedly, this hasn't happened since 1990.
My landscaper is asking for next months pay at the beginning of the month, vice the end after the work is done.
Says he’s in a tight spot financially. This is a guy who is booked 24/7 to do extremely nice landscaping for homes that are 300-700k. He has a weekly service but also does complete landscaping for new builds or remodels.
I guarantee that the price of gas right now is nuking his business.
So there’s some more anecdotal evidence of the average worker getting slaughtered, even if they own their own successful businesses.
Either he didn’t raise his prices or hiring people with higher wages. Gas and fertilizers only go up the last 3 months or so, where is the profit from the past couple years? When everyone got used to spending big, of course he feels the pinch.
price of gas and price of workers.
pretty much every small company I talk to is complaining they can't get anyone to go to the office to work, much less do manual labor outside. Those that will know they're worth more than last year and demand it.
I mean, good for them - but we're going to see another few rounds of price hikes everywhere (services included) before things stabilize.
Ethanol is moving away from mining so demand will fall. I'm not sure if you want the stock to get cheap for that reason though. They will be losing a large consumer.

Lol at people who claim ponzi is the "digital gold". Yeah right. Gold probably won't go to zero until there's like a global extinction event or some shit because it's actually a metal which can be *used* for something.
Ponzi wouldn't cause a dent in anything if it went to zero, apart from separating a few morons from their money.

In space I have doubts about pms retaining value beyond industrial and jewelry. Poors going to have all the chains and pinky rings they want.
Yea but there’s fuck tons of it out there, and that would make scarcity fly out the window. As in it would trade more on industrial value and there would be buyers for aesthetic reasons.
gotta get to it first.
space is big, yo.
e: but yeah, I am familiar with the theoretical hundred-trillion-dollar rare-earth (because they're only rare on earth and not in the rest of the system) asteroid mining operations of the future. Would love to see them in my lifetime, but I'm cautious to declare that we'll see that big payoff within the century. There's a _lot_ of innovation yet to be made. Small quantities in the interim? Likely. The big one that destroys all terrestrial mining operations because of sheer supply glut? We can dream.

Well, I ended up turning my gambling portfolio positive again finally today for the year. Then found out my wife's pregnant. Rip money. Hello 18+ more years of responsibility
> On March 20, 2000, after a review of its accounting practices, the company announced that it would restate its financial results for the preceding two years.[12] Its stock price, which had risen from $7 per share to as high as $333 per share in a year, fell $120 per share, or 62%, in a day in what is regarded as the bursting of the dot-com bubble.[13]
> In December 2000, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission brought charges against the company and its executives.[14] A lawsuit was subsequently filed against MicroStrategy and certain of its officials over fraud.[15] In December 2000, Saylor, Bansal, and the company's former CFO settled with the SEC without admitting wrongdoing, each paying $350,000 in fines. The officers also paid a combined total of $10 million in disgorgement. The company settled with the SEC, hiring an independent director to ensure regulatory compliance.
I know a doc and his wife who are 100% invested in ponzi. Think (thought?) it was going to hit 100k this year and was making more on his investment than work. They got a young kid at home.
Part of me wants to laugh at the collapse, but then I remember there's real people behind those numbers. Stupid people, but people none the less.
As someone who works with doctors...
Most doctors are fucking retarded when it comes to money. Those that actually have a slight idea of their worth tend to set up a private practice, but then most of those get conned into letting a manager handle all the books who ends up taking most of the profit from the practice. And those that understand both the business and medical sides become market megoliths very easily, because there's basically no competition aside from the hospitals and private equity 'franchise docs'.
> Most doctors are fucking retarded when it comes to money.
Also can confirm as have had some close relationships with doctors. It's a funny thing. So smart, yet so childlike when it comes to financial matters. Engineers and lawyers by contrast seem better.
it almost seems like they're selected and trained to ignore and be bad with money so they will fit into the hospital system like a well oiled cog and not cause any problems deciding they're worth something. it already takes a particularly altruistic person to dedicate their life to helping others, doesn't take too much of a push from academia to make them all view money as a dirty thing that _true_ doctors should ignore and instead focus on helping patients, don't worry the system will take care of them for all the good they do
I think that's too much tinfoil.
I think a lot of younger to middle age doctors are wisening up that life doesn't have to be the medical bureaucracy it is (popularity of whitecoastinvestor). Probably true a lot went in for altruistic purposes, but regardless, the American healthcare system is shockingly depressing, and those that went in for the money/prestige/easy life find out it's too much to bear for the long term. I come from an engineering world that can be highly political, and I wouldn't trade what I do to be a doctor at all.
I think they're just bad with money not because they're selected that way. Just flat out too busy and if you're already making $300-$500K per year with pretty good job security, it's hard for them to realize "Hey, I don't really NEED to buy that $3.5 mil mansion".
I called rally for yesterday so I am very wrong so far, but funny web3 money just rallied pretty hard. I think, between that and the depth of the selloff we've seen, that there'll be a rally at open tonight.
God help me but I think I might try to scalp the gamestore

fellow beras whats the forecast for tomorrow? Rally or dumpie
Rally I think. I feel like we overcorrected a bit before FOMC.
I called rally for yesterday so I am very wrong so far, but funny web3 money just rallied pretty hard. I think, between that and the depth of the selloff we've seen, that there'll be a rally at open tonight. God help me but I think I might try to scalp the gamestore
