I had a coworker with “Princess” on her name tag which surprised me the first time i saw it since i already knew her real name. It was a hoot when new associates would mention her by “Princess” and I could have a little giggle to myself
I worked with someone with the real name of cinnamon. She looked like a real life version of Roger on American dad. I always told people I think her stripper name is Jessica 😅🤣🤣
I had one for part of my first year, at my first store.
I only wore it on Fridays. I was supposed to be off Thursday/Friday. Day shift, i did better having back to back days, and my best friend, who I lived with at the time, worked the same department and shift as me and was off tues/Thurs. I did my days so we got one day off together and one day off separate just to help us with work/life balance so we weren't always together.
After about a month, we got short handed and our DM would have her call me and ask me to come in.
So I made a Dante name tag because any time I was asked to do something outside the scope of normal tasks for the area I would sigh and go, "I'm not even supposed to be here today." DM would even call me Dante if I had the name tag on.
When I transferred, she got me two ice cream cakes. One that said "we'll miss you [real name]," and one that said, "good luck dante."
I rarely get called in on my days off anymore, but I do miss the tag.
I’d hope they’re not making anyone do that as badge policy is pretty clear that it doesn’t have to have your actual name on it. As long as it’s professional/appropriate then it shouldn’t matter what’s on it. Just something a customer can reference if needed where the store would have some idea of who they’re talking about.
It's kind of a gray area in the matter of deeming what's appropriate. When I first put on Mac Daddy, everyone thought it was a hoot. My Coach laughed his ass off. Then another salaried manager saw it and asked if it was appropriate. I told him Coach and customers loved it. He begrudgingly accepted it.
I certainly don't care what's on a badge. Some people are real sticklers for that kind of stuff, though.
I think it just comes down to the market. Are the people who run the market chill and understand that customer and employee response are major factors in whether something flys or not? Are they 12 feet deep in the deep throat of corpo rules that they’ll bust anything remotely not to their ‘standard’? I know when I used to be at Walmart this shit wouldn’t fly at all but I was like 10 minutes away from Walmart HQ so… yeah lol
The only thing we crack down on at my store is the minor badges. We don't let adults have them because we don't want to have someone confused and thinking we're scheduling minors outside of the legal times and days they can work.
“Hey, I wanted to get X put on my name badge but it was denied for some reason. I pulled up and read the name badge policy and I’m really confused as to why it’d be denied since according to the company policy it’s not an issue. Was there something offensive about the name I wanted to put on it or was it denied for something else not related to the policy?”
We had a guy whose legal name was Xavier but everyone just called him X and that was on his tag too. Just the single letter X. Don't know why that'd be an issue
Really? I had a coworker with a G-MA badge, she was the only one. She said it was with the old management like 10 or so years before, they used to like fun stuff. Then the new management came and they used to try and make her change it but she always kept it because it was her nickname she’d say. She recently transferred to a hopefully better store— our management really does suck
One of our leads will make you a name tag that says pretty much anything.
One day we had no picks so our lead said to go check if we had any Ulearns. We realized the little printer for name tags was between our computers so we were messing around with it. Did you know you can print little images too?
my old store would leave the label printer, blank badges, and the little badge clips out by where the computers were so you could just make yourself any badge if you wanted
Im an ON stocker and when I first started at my store I put my hoodie on after we had closed without thinking. Some of my coworkers definitely looked at me like they thought I was just some random crazy person wandering the store after hours 😆 It didn’t take long for them to recognize me without my vest/name tag visible though
We don’t even have access to stuff to make our own anymore. They have whatever name you gave when you got hired and if you want a replacement/new one you have to go to our personnel lady. And she’s a tight ass when it comes to stuff like that.
Same. Ours wasn't tight just... "oh I don't know if I can do that." She doesn't have a backbone. Our new one is a stickler for rules so I doubt she would make us a new one.
My store didn't care what's on your name. One guys nickname and it got accepted is but hole another Is feet licker, our head ups are a bunch of hippies who don't care. My nickname is Mr ButtersWorth
When I worked at Walmart we would create new locations and name them things like DEEZ NUTZ and stage items to them, our coach and team lead thought it was hilarious 😹
I remember one time I made a location sticker called slut and accidentally dropped it in a customers order while dispensing 💀
If you can deal with higher ups smoking pot in there office come on by. They'll hire about anybody. One employee has a service goat that they allow in with him to help detect his seizures or Ploppy our 4 foot tall door greeter that dresses up like a leprechaun every year on st patriots day
Half the people on front end at my store has an alias name on the back of their tag. My one TL have a minor nametag behind his that say inconvenience so that if it ever flips around it says that he's a "minor inconvenience"
I stopped wearing mine after i had some creepy asshole call me by my name off the clock, when i was shopping at a local grocery store. It was at least a year before anyone made an issue of it. I told them that after an incident like that its a matter of privacy, and if they insisted they could give me an alias or fire me, but those were the options.
That was around 5 years ago. They never got back to me about an alias and never brought it up again. I havnt even seen my badge since we stopped using the old time clocks.
We still have associates that use the time clock. We will lose it on remodel I think though. I'm glad they don't make you wear your badge but they could push it the actual Walmart policy states that if you don't have your name badge you are too go the the AP office and wait for a new one. I've never once seen that enforced just thought I'd throw that out there because I was amazed that that was the policy.
Mann this one dude I used to work with kept a stack of like 25 different name tags clipped to his vest and only id say about 5 of them were actual names, the rest existed to spite god.
I was 50 when I was hired by walmart in 2009 and they asked me what I wanted on my name badge, and I told them I'd gone by my middle name all my life so they circled it. But they made the badge with my first name and when I asked them to change it they said "oh we know you by \*\*\*\*\* now! You can't change it!". 15 years later I'm still stuck with it and there's like two people in the store who care about me enough to call me by middle name. Meanwhile last year a TL had his furry name on his badge.
Worked at a fast food joint where you could put your name on the receipts, like “Hi, I’m blankety blank” well one girl often put "Hi, I’m HOT” to see if anyone really looked at their receipts.
They can’t force you to have your actual name but they don’t have to let you use Mac daddy. You have to use a name that is considered appropriate and professional. Most stores allow you to use nicknames as long as they follow those guidelines.
I've been Mac Daddy for several months now. It draws a lot of positive attention. Only one salaried manager questioned it and I told him my Coach was aware and approved it. By actual name I meant whatever was in Workday as a preferred name. I'm aware nicknames are generally allowed. As some of the other comments have proved, though, some stores do prefer you use your actual, real life name.
My store knows I am stubborn enough and also stupid enough to legally change my name to prove a point. They believe it is less of a hassle and less paper work to just let me change my badge.
I had my real name for 1 1/2 years until my coaches and leads came up with a nickname for me and gave me the badge at my 2 year mark. My upper management has accepted it besides being confused lol.
We used to be able to make our own at any time back a few years ago at my old store. A guy in my department and myself made them. His was “Tsang Seua”. Mine was “Shang Tsung”
I wear my actual name badge most of the time, but I have a 25-year-old old-school custom name badge that reads “E Scrooge” I wear for the holiday season.
I've worked at Walmart for almost 2 years coming up and have thought about doing one. I'm a huge Roger Moore 007 so I was thinking Nick Nack (Name's Nick) but my HR is never there and I just haven't got to ask.
If it isn't offensive and it is a nickname you can have it, don't have to have your normal name displayed.
You can even change your name in workday / work place? Can't remember what the hell they are calling all this shit any more. I hardly use it myself.
Like first and last name? Walgreens tried to pull that shit, too. We always scribbled it out or made new badges. It was different process making new ones there, though.
Nope! My store let me use a nickname I liked aka cyrix and also used jt never called me by my real name and honestly was nice lol however this depends store to store most don't mind tho as long as it's not something insane as it's manly for customers to be "hey cyrix can you help me with something"
We had a nepalese student work for us at KFC but they only lasted like 3 weeks. My boss kept her nametag as punishment if we forgot ours, as it was policy to ALWAYS have your nametag on. It was DIKSHIT. Dont be a Dikshit, remember your nametag people!
Visible yes, actual name no. Nicknames or aliases are acceptable. They just have to be work appropriate. Just a note for anyone thinking of doing it (because creepy stalkers who hunt you on social media are real) make sure you use a name that you will answer to. Management tends to assume the name on your tag is the name you want to go by. Which is a fair assumption honestly. But there was a girl at my old store who had to change her tag because she kept forgetting to answer to the alias.
Only rectly hwhen we got our new store management did people start getting iffy about name badge, but hey that's gine. Its SUPER easy to change your name in the system, and I mean super easy.
If it’s an appropriate name and you legitimately want to be called that then yes. If not it’s not allowed for random stuff. Especially not letting anyone use minor badges all Willy nilly.
Yeah when I’ve worked there it was a policy for them to have there name tag visible when on your vest or someone who is in the higher ups in the Walmart company will give you a hard time about it and maybe have a talking to with them in there office space area
I don’t wear mine at all, and when my TL asks me where it’s at I pull it out of my vest show it to her she then says “oh ok” and moves on and I put it back in my vest lol I’m not wearing a name tag so random people can call out my name across the store to price check something for them.
I had Marinara on my name tag for 2 years because I gained that nickname after dropping 12 cases of pasta sauce in the back room while I was using the walker stacker. One day my SM pointed at it and said “no” lol.
I had a team lead who had a problem with my fun alias name tag. She said, "I don't want to see that no more." I wore it on her days off so she wouldn't have to see it. None of the managers had a problem with it.
I would love one, its like nails on chalkboard for me to hear creepy customers saying my name like we are friends. I'd rather have the most generic Karen name ever than my real name for them to see. Once I was working at a liquor store and this guy used it to find my social media. I just don't see why they need our real name.
A long, long, long time ago when I worked for them I had to get my badge remade. The Personnel Manager just put a stack of badges with and sheets of letters (these were the blue sticker letters) on a table so I could make it. She left the room, so I quickly made a badge named “Smartass” and put it in my pocket. I then made mine with my real name. I don’t know what happened with the “Smartass” badge. I lost it at some point.
I wear my boyfriends name tag from when he worked at Walmart years ago. My coaches and TL in OGP got so confused by it and then would laugh when I explained lol new associates were calling me by my bfs name 😂 it was great
Back in 2004, or so, when I worked for 'my' Walmart (27-35 - we've got spirit - we've got pride) at orientation we were told that a nickname was fine, as long as it was not something like "Poo-Poo Daddy." 🤣 They let me wear "FOX." It wasn't printed labels, either; we would affix sticky letters to the badge ourselves (or beg a crafty coworker if we reckoned we couldn't do it neatly) and then a clear overlay. Anyway, Fox, you may have guessed, is not my name; but it is my 'spirit animal.' Had a coworker who I ended up going with who was badged as "LALA." I was tempted to switch to "LOLO" but that game (LOLO & LALA) was old and obscure even then... Now, where were we? Oh, yeah! The important thing is that we can’t bust heads like we used to—but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don’t go anywhere like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so I decided to go to Morganville which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So, I tied an onion to my belt which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel. And in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ‘em. ‘Give me five bees for a quarter,’ you’d say. Now, where were we? Oh, yeah! The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.
I never worked at at Walmart but at Kroger my store manager would make a name tag for whatever you wanted if you did your job or she liked you, my girlfriend had one that said “Im Lazy” and I had one that was “Produce God”
When I was first employed they cared. After years of being there, they didn’t care anymore.
I used to get upset about having my name on display, tbh.
Creepy guys would call my name at night. Some people started searching me up and trying to friend me on facebook.
Random people would call my name when I was outside minding my business too.
People somehow still find me on linkedin and friend me. Gets me annoyed because I don’t want my linkedin connected too much to walmart and other retail positions.
I’m trying to move on from retail.
I hated it so much.
Thank god they don’t pester me to wear it anymore.
As far my store is concerned i don’t think so I walked all day around will a sticky note over my name that said Mehoff, you know like “Jack Mehoff” no one said shit to me all day and I swear one of them had to of noticed it, or they didn’t care, or actually didn’t see it. Was surprised no one said anything to me all day
My store doesn’t GAF with names. I just started, but my mom has been there 30+ years. Her manager is called “R**” (censored due to privacy) they legit could not give a damn about names.
I just started working at Walmart and like 15 people in my department all just have a blank white name tag like BRO WHAT IS YOUR NAME smh we are wearing name tags I shouldn't have to ask you your name
What good is a name tag. The Walmart employees, pretend not to hear you. Don't ever look directly at you. Run the other way if you look like you are going to ask a question. Pretend to go look for you and then never come back.
I stuck a “Substitution” ogp sticker over mine. Been there for almost 6 months now lol. The “ion” part is wrapped around the back so I am now known to my coworkers as The Substitute. Makes me feel like Hasselhoff
I’ve been working at Walmart since sophomore year at 16 (currently 20) I still have my minor badge but I keep it behind my blue tag. I put a collection of stickers on the back of my yellow one
Keep mine turned around as much as I can really. Though there's the weirdo customers who will reach over and turn it to see my name... can't stand them
We have a very cool dude at our store who has Lurch on his name tag and every time they call him on the radio he says, "You Rang?" Lol he is great, no one cares about his name tag and everyone knows his real name but no one cool gives him shit, shout out to Lurch lol
I want an alias tag too :(
Go make an AKA name tag. It's fun. We have a lot of nicknames at my store.
Where can I do this? Because I need me one bad. I usually just have my name tag on backwards
You know when they hire, sometimes they it asks nickname or what name you prefer to be called. You could put anything on there
Right! My coworker had one for every day of the week. Ofcourse appropriate and would only wear them if upper management wasn’t in.
I had a coworker with “Princess” on her name tag which surprised me the first time i saw it since i already knew her real name. It was a hoot when new associates would mention her by “Princess” and I could have a little giggle to myself
I worked with someone actually named Princess.
That's why it's a good joke. It could be the person's name.
Because of that, it would be too tempting to just say "Well excuuuuuuse me, princess."
I worked with someone legally named Princess and she was one of the most obnoxious people I have ever met.
My great grandmother was named Queen. As a kid i genuinely struggled to comprehend that cause I thought her name was GG 💀
Queen GG.
I work and at a call center and spoke with someone named Blessing today. She was not one.
we just got a new associated named Princess and i'm not ready for what's about to happen
It sounds like a pets name.
Lmao my boss nicknamed me that and then everyone was calling me that, it was the worst 😂😂😂
I rarely get called in on my days off anymore, but I do miss the tag.
Aliass lol, sorry, I couldn't help myself
I’d hope they’re not making anyone do that as badge policy is pretty clear that it doesn’t have to have your actual name on it. Got to let people have a little fun. If anyone has a problem with mac daddy then they are far to up tight for this world.
I think it just comes down to the market. Are the people who run the market chill and understand that customer and employee response are major factors in whether something flys or not? Are they 12 feet deep in the deep throat of corpo rules that they’ll bust anything remotely not to their ‘standard’? Our store is far away from corporate, and has traditionally shit on anyone's attempt at humor. :(
The only thing we crack down on at my store is the minor badges. We don't let adults have them because we don't want to have someone confused and thinking we're scheduling minors outside of the legal times and days they can work.
When i requested a certain name tag they ignored it 😕 it was literally just my legal name initials
You forgot to mention your name is Cornelius Ulysses Nathaniel Tibbs
LMFAO
“Hey, I wanted to get X put on my name badge but it was denied for some reason. I pulled up and read the name badge policy and I’m really confused as to why it’d be denied since according to the company policy it’s not an issue. Oh thank you! But I haven't worked at walmart in a few years, appreciate it though <3

i have not worn my name tag in a few months and have not been told anything about it… i am an ON stocker/backroom binner 💀
Bro I haven't touched my name tag since I got hired lmao
I'm a cart pusher and haven't worn mine in almost a year... every time I do in falls off in the parking lot.
I haven't worn mine or my vest in years. Also ON
Sameeee. Except, I've been here almost a year on overnights
I've been there for over a decade, and have no idea where my badge even is
Im an ON stocker and when I first started at my store I put my hoodie on after we had closed without thinking. Some of my coworkers definitely looked at me like they thought I was just some random crazy person wandering the store after hours 😆 It didn’t take long for them to recognize me without my vest/name tag visible though

Make a "Dr. Pepper" lol
Thats already taken along with Deez Nuts And Yo Momma
When I worked at Walmart we would create new locations and name them things like DEEZ NUTZ and stage items to them, our coach and team lead thought it was hilarious 😹 I remember one time I made a location sticker called slut and accidentally dropped it in a customers order while dispensing 💀
We had a Butthole at my store. Then he changed it to Brown Sugar, now he's just his actual name.
🤣🤣🤣 our deli ane cake and food bars name is Cruella and that was a given name since the innsident with another employee and the ham slicer
I wish I worked at your store
If you can deal with higher ups smoking pot in there office come on by. They'll hire about anybody. One employee has a service goat that they allow in with him to help detect his seizures or Ploppy our 4 foot tall door greeter that dresses up like a leprechaun every year on st patriots day
Bro, I need to go to that store lol higher-ups smoking, bud 😂. A service GOAT 😳😂.
They don't care what happens IA few of our employee will fall asleep on the shelves and they just let them sleep. Our store is just wild
Butthole Surfer
Half the people on front end at my store has an alias name on the back of their tag. My one TL have a minor nametag behind his that say inconvenience so that if it ever flips around it says that he's a "minor inconvenience"
I have been without a badge for over a year now. I have tried twice to get a new one to no avail… lolol
We have an entire drawer full of them. You can decide to be a minor, 5-10-25 year employee, whoever, and whatever you want to be.
Amy from cloud 9 she didn't want strangers knowing her name .
Superstore fan located

If I worked there I would have to be daddy mac then
JUMP JUMP
I want mine to say Prince Precious.
I was 50 when I was hired by walmart in 2009 and they asked me what I wanted on my name badge, and I told them I'd gone by my middle name all my life so they circled it. But they made the badge with my first name and when I asked them to change it they said "oh we know you by \*\*\*\*\* now! Meanwhile last year a TL had his furry name on his badge.
I had a saleswoman years ago with large breasts. Her name tag said “What are you Looking At?” Best sales person I ever managed.
Bro this absolutely did not happen
Worked at a fast food joint where you could put your name on the receipts, like “Hi, I’m blankety blank” well one girl often put "Hi, I’m HOT” to see if anyone really looked at their receipts.
She always gave a name like Helen Bedd to get a table.
They can’t force you to have your actual name but they don’t have to let you use Mac daddy. You have to use a name that is considered appropriate and professional. Most stores allow you to use nicknames as long as they follow those guidelines.

Duhhh
I leave my hair down to cover my tag anyway. These are hysterical.
One of my favorites when I worked for Walmart years ago was an OGP sticker that said "P. BURNS" we had a customer review thanking P. Burns
I work with a guy supposedly named “beard”
A few people have Beard as a surname.
Does he in fact have a beard? If so how long is it?
I work with a young lady named Bucket. I cannot help but want to quote the "keeping up appearances" show
We have some leads whose name tags are their names but the TL tag says something different
We had a young gravy a few years ago, there's a team lead with "Earl" not his real name. But that's about it
I dont wear my tag💀
I hardly wear a vest or badge.
I had my real name for 1 1/2 years until my coaches and leads came up with a nickname for me and gave me the badge at my 2 year mark. My upper management has accepted it besides being confused lol.
Yeah. Not overly excited about people seeling my slave name Buffoonicus, but it is what it is.
Store Manager has already agreed to these: Original badge has my name 5yr badge has name in reverse 10yr badge will nickname
Who’s calling a minor Mac Daddy 😭
I'm a 31 year old woman.
My store if it’s not your birth name then you can have your last name on the badge no nicknames or alts
Same at mine.
They need a special case if someone has a good reason not to let their name be known.
We used to be able to make our own at any time back a few years ago at my old store. A guy in my department and myself made them. His was “Tsang Seua”. Mine was “Shang Tsung”
Haven't worn a name badge in years even when I was on days.
For a while I used one that said daddy until the store manager personally called me out
I think the only reason I get away with Mac Daddy is because I'm a girl, honestly.
I once made one for Halloween that said Beetlejuice
I username tag with a real sounding name but it's not my real name
I wear my actual name badge most of the time, but I have a 25-year-old old-school custom name badge that reads “E Scrooge” I wear for the holiday season.
I've worked at Walmart for almost 2 years coming up and have thought about doing one. I'm a huge Roger Moore 007 so I was thinking Nick Nack (Name's Nick) but my HR is never there and I just haven't got to ask.
Moronica….reminds me of the old three stooges shorts back in the 30s and 40s
I’d say no, mostly because when I worked for Walmart my Badge said “Big Guy”
Moronica is funny as fuck why didn't I think of that 😭
had an older woman go by “puddin” for hers
My wife goes by Pudding!
I changed my nametag to something that loosely resembles my actual name because I get a lot of creeps that find me on Facebook
I have my brother’s name tag from when he quit. I no longer use my real name because of creeps
I've got one that says That Bitch but I don't wear it, it was just for our own personal shits and giggles lol
Heywood J'Blowme
If it isn't offensive and it is a nickname you can have it, don't have to have your normal name displayed. You can even change your name in workday / work place? Can't remember what the hell they are calling all this shit any more. I hardly use it myself.
By actual name, I meant whatever you put in Workday as your preferred name.
i’m calling my wife moronica from now on
I put "Marshall Mathers" on mine.
I wish I had one! I have mine with my full name on it and I hate it because of the creeps. Y’all don’t need to know my real name
Like first and last name? Walgreens tried to pull that shit, too. We always scribbled it out or made new badges. It was different process making new ones there, though.
Just first (I go by a nickname and have all my life, so my long name is considered my 'full name')
r/superstore vibes
Nope! My store let me use a nickname I liked aka cyrix and also used jt never called me by my real name and honestly was nice lol however this depends store to store most don't mind tho as long as it's not something insane as it's manly for customers to be "hey cyrix can you help me with something"
I'd rather go by Mac Daddy too. And I'd change my name if "Moron" is in it, lol
We had a nepalese student work for us at KFC but they only lasted like 3 weeks. My boss kept her nametag as punishment if we forgot ours, as it was policy to ALWAYS have your nametag on. It was DIKSHIT. Dont be a Dikshit, remember your nametag people!
I just cut the first letter of my name off the label & just have that letter on my name tag.
I hide my name, i don’t need A-holes knowing my name anyways. When they ask I tell them if they are nice to me.🤷🏻♀️
Im overnight so we dont anyway. But im actually not sure about daytime
I have one that says Paco and one that says Net Neutral
Most of my coworkers wear jt backwards
I have one around my house here that says Bob "Unicorn Rider"
Idk where our tag printer is so I just slapped a Fragile sticker from the OPD carts onto my name tag and called it a day
Nope. I have mine as Kyubi, and someone over here goes by Taco.
I’ve made a few different ones. My personal favorite is the name Flujenico in a GTA style font.
If it’s an appropriate name and you legitimately want to be called that then yes. If not it’s not allowed for random stuff. Especially not letting anyone use minor badges all Willy nilly.
One of my old coaches had one that said idiot. Best guy I've ever worked for.
Mine says Boujee lol
We have lots of different nick names at our store also
Yeah when I’ve worked there it was a policy for them to have there name tag visible when on your vest or someone who is in the higher ups in the Walmart company will give you a hard time about it and maybe have a talking to with them in there office space area
They took away our nametag making privileges :( At least I have a nametag with a heart on it tho :)
I used to have mine with "Electronics Slave" underneath my name
I don’t wear mine at all, and when my TL asks me where it’s at I pull it out of my vest show it to her she then says “oh ok” and moves on and I put it back in my vest lol I’m not wearing a name tag so random people can call out my name across the store to price check something for them.
30 years? Definitely a moron.
Diva Gina.
I c y
I know someone who had a tag with the name “Precious” or “Beautiful”
i worked with "batman" for a while once
I just use my name, but we have a few Jim Bobs at my store! That’s about it for silly name tags.
We can have nicknames in our badges at my store, as long as it's not offensive.
My coworker had one that said Debbie. His name was Chris. He was not transitioning, he just thought it was funny.
My friends says slackin on it and they let him keep it 💀
I just stuck a BBQ Pork Sandwich sticker over my name :3
I had Marinara on my name tag for 2 years because I gained that nickname after dropping 12 cases of pasta sauce in the back room while I was using the walker stacker. One day my SM pointed at it and said “no” lol.
I put a Heavy sticker over my name and they made me get a new name badge. Ours don't like it as much
My name tag has this emoji on it 😐
Yes but we trade tags so when someone complains about the "Tall blonde guy named Ryan" it doesn't line up with anyone 😂
I had 2 different tags aside from my own. Wore a Kiki badge and one I found in the parking lot with the name Hendricks
I've been considering UwU on my nametag because I'm a monster
I wear my boyfriends name tag from when he worked at Walmart years ago. My coaches and TL in OGP got so confused by it and then would laugh when I explained lol new associates were calling me by my bfs name 😂 it was great
Our store doesn't care. We have one TL that cares. Just one. She's a bitch
Got one saying “El daddy”
We used to do that, then the PL locked up the label maker and blank badges.
My name this week is Stan.... I'm female... Policy says wear a name badge, doesn't say it has to have your name on it lol
As far my store is concerned i don’t think so I walked all day around will a sticky note over my name that said Mehoff, you know like “Jack Mehoff” no one said shit to me all day and I swear one of them had to of noticed it, or they didn’t care, or actually didn’t see it. Was surprised no one said anything to me all day
I got a nickname tag too
These could be real names now 🤣
Those are my names. I go by Mac Daddy. Moronica is my backup.
My nickname is fluffy and they let me have it on my name tag
I wear mine turned around
I have about 10 different badges, all given to me by coworkers that left or work a different department. I rotate between them all
My store doesn’t GAF with names. I just started, but my mom has been there 30+ years. Her manager is called “R**” (censored due to privacy) they legit could not give a damn about names.
Yes but mine keeps turning backwards so the customers don't know my real identity.
Man how do I leave this Walmart page like fr I no longer work for that company and it’s a horrible company the pay is abs garbage
LOL we do Nick name tags at Walgreens and Family Dollar too lolol
i wish our store made us wear them or keep them visible, i don’t know half of my coworkers names dude 💀💀
If you're an associate no ,you can pick whatever name you want. If you're part of management ,yes you have to use your real name.
Pretend to go look for you and then never come back.
i put a nickname on mine
I stuck a “Substitution” ogp sticker over mine. Been there for almost 6 months now lol. The “ion” part is wrapped around the back so I am now known to my coworkers as The Substitute. Makes me feel like Hasselhoff
I’ve been working at Walmart since sophomore year at 16 (currently 20) I still have my minor badge but I keep it behind my blue tag. I put a collection of stickers on the back of my yellow one
Someone who works at Walmart for 30 years is definitely going to be named Moronica
mine didn’t seem to care. i never used my real name on the tag. my bf had his as thanos and it was never an issue
Mine only has my nick name on it 😂
I have two badges. My actual first name & then the name I wanted to be seen by customers.
Keep mine turned around as much as I can really. Though there's the weirdo customers who will reach over and turn it to see my name... can't stand them
Mine’s Bologna, but I gotta keep it hidden because apparently theyre trying to crack down on them
Can i work as anonymouse?
I had name badge that said MrJosh and BDJ for 4 years and no one ever said a thing 😂😂
We have a very cool dude at our store who has Lurch on his name tag and every time they call him on the radio he says, "You Rang?" Lol he is great, no one cares about his name tag and everyone knows his real name but no one cool gives him shit, shout out to Lurch lol
i wore i blank name tag or no name tag i would mostly also work without my vest on as cap 2
I’m on overnight so they don’t care, my name is completely faded off both sides 😂
You can wear a badge with the name you go by, it doesn't have to be your legal name, atleast as far as I've seen in the stores I've been in.
In 2020 my support manager made a badge that read "essential", so I made one that read, "essential too".
Moronica really cracks me up. I feel like I should have came up with that. Good god that is funny.
Name tag ?
