If you're open to swing dancing, New Columbia Swing has classes from 8-9pm on Tuesdays, followed by a social dance from 9-11:30 ish. In the class you rotate partners so you'll be dancing with everyone, not just your partner. But that's the best way to learn.
Gottaswing also has classes all over the area, and the two instructors for the Thursday class in Dupont are particularly good.

La Cosecha in Unión Market offers a true beginner salsa class monthly. I believe Salsa with Silvia’s offers extensive Latin dance classes.

I can highly recommend local swing dance group Gottaswing. They teach classes in multiple locations across the metro area and they're great.
