This!! I was like nah nah to everything until I arrived to those last two. Def try to give those a chance again! The reason why I feel like this is because Surviving Romance was a really interesting thriller and it had a twist to it. You wanted her to get past her issues, to fix it with the others, all the while feelikg her struggles. I also really liked the artist's other work, Makeup Remover for the same reason. The 19th Life one, it was a really heartfelt and sweet story, but not too much fluff. Just a little something!
I have it saved but never started reading, should i take what u said as a recomendation to start it? What s not for everyone? For context im a giant sucker for fantasy and when it comes to romance i start giggling and kicking my feet like a toddler when the couple is flirty and cheesy and cute
I feel like people dropped it because the slow burn was *too* slow, but it's so much more than a slow burn romance! Magic! Political intrigue! Corrupt religious hierarchy! Drama! And the tension in the romance comes from source OTHER than miscommunication or immaturity! It is my favorite webtoon atm!
I know everyone is already telling you to pick Surviving Romance back up, but you really should. It has an incredibly satisfying ending and I never felt like the author was bloating the story or adding filler. Highly recommend!
I think the current storyline is FINALLY getting to the juicy part of the story, feel like most of the past episodes have been filler. It seemed almost neverending. It's better rn though
Surviving Romance, and See You in My 19th Life, I think these two are worth picking back up.
I’m realizing I dropped a bunch of the same Webtoons, or maybe I’m still subscribed to them for now but they don’t bring the same anticipation. All that said, I think Surviving Romance really excelled in bringing something fresh and different to my typical rotation of Webtoons, though I can understand it being complicated at times too. See You in My 19th Life I think was really good, maybe a little overdramatic at the end, but still a really good story all the way through.
Seconded. Love jasy 🥺 although I do think it's better on a binge. I caught up a couple months ago and reading it week to week is kind of confusing. Seems like it's wrapping up tho
i just love how i also dropped nearly all of these, but i still read Surviving Romance and you should give it another go especially bc the story is finnished and for an ongoing series i would recommend Men of Harem, it just scratches an edgy itch i have myb it will for you too
Watermelon! Although it depends on your reasons for dropping it - I’ve read it off and on for years, always a great read, I just personally prefer to binge when it catches my eye again lol.
Pick back up Be My Villain. It’s super cute!
It’s not really complicated, but it is starting to pick up like a dramatic arc, so hopefully that’ll make you more willing to read.
It’s super nice and cute. I’ve been with it since its canvas days! And it just got out of hiatus, so it’s the perfect time to pick it back up.
I want someone to make a wiki article about I Love Yoo explaining the whole plot so I can read what happened without having to waste my time on paradoxically short yet simultaneously frustratingly slow chapters where I forget everything that happened the months long breaks in between. It's funny, because an ILY ad is what got me to start reading webtoons, and now every time I try and check in on what's happening I just get annoyed and click out. But I still want the cliff's notes version to see where everyone ended up!
* Yoo got caught in a scandal in the middle of a party
* Nol took the blame and is going to jail
* Kousuke's mom hates Nol and is trying to kill him while trying to find a way to gain control over Yoo since she knows Kousuke likes her
* Yoo has a sister that exists
* Yoo had a friend from school that betrayed her and now has become a puppet for Kousuke's mom and started dating Nol under her command to act as her inside agent
* Yoo is realizing she has feelings for Nol
2. Yes!
3. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Obvious-2nd-ML randomly starts to pursue the girl. Horrid.
5. Eh. The couple becomes abusive and weird. I don't like how it's only about their love and not about the story itself anymore. We barely see other characters now. Also, FL becomes more annoying than ML, yes, you read that right.
6. Sure. I paused it after >! Tau !< started possessing that woman but this character backstory was very solid.
9. Most USELESS, BORING, BLAND, LONG, webtoon EVER. I wasted so much time reading over 200 chapters. I'll never get those hours of my life back.
15. Yes! Omori-like vibes, love it! Though, after >! main girl Rayne (?) leaves the group to save both herself and another character !<, it gets bizarre as there is a time-lapse...
Subzero is chugging along. Wind on a Dry Branch is interesting. Love Midnight Poppyland but it’s still on hiatus. I need to start the Witch and the Bull again….
I was wondering if i should bother with it too. Been trying to this year. Can't even binge. I do some episodes and then i get off the app or...it helps me sleep XD
Problem is i mostly see it like the ML is just Fan service Hot Zuko from avatar the last airbender. It feels like this is the author's self insert fantasy of Zuko T.T
Yeah, it’s frustrating for sure. I’m lucky to call a couple artists/illustrators friends and family. They’ve worked on anything ranging from webtoons, news articles, Disney and Pixar so I’ve seen what it takes to keep the creative flow going and it’s not easy. I suppose that’s why I’m just more patient. Webtoons is free entertainment to me, a person and a small team are churning out something I don’t need to pay for directly unless I want to FP, so I can afford to just let them recover and take their hiatus if needed. Webtoons has also got a very intense schedule for most creators. I’m actually surprised more people aren’t taking longer breaks.
You're 100% correct to point that out. I haven't stopped my subscriptions to the webtoons that I really enjoy. And I'm embarrassed that I let my impatience show.
Nah. I get impatient too. There’s webtoons on hiatus that I truly miss. But I really don’t want someone who has been making stories to not be able to rest when needed.
Super agree! I'm very very very patient with web artists, it's a really hard career to be in that's prone to burn out. There's so much webcomics and manhwas out there to read while one's on hiatus.
The story just got more and more insane and complicated. She hardly used her Harem, just a waste of time due to the amount of episodes and lack of substance
Be My Villain, I Love Yoo, and Watermelon are all part of my top picks. I ADORE THEM. But especially Be My Villain. My little gay loving heart can’t take the tension. 😭😭😭😭
I LOVE Like Wind on a Dry Branch. It’s the only webtoon to make me cry real tears. Your Throne is probably a good one to drop, I probably would if not for sunk cost lol
Is it better? It's one of the few webcomics I've dropped and it's mostly because I felt like it was a rollercoaster of almost near the ending and then whoops there's more similar to dice. Still subscribed though, I'm waiting for it to finish so I can binge read it.
How dare you drop Surviving Romance 😭 This is equivalent to that one meme that says-
Recommendations if you don’t like: Surviving Romance
Rec: TRY AGAIN
The only one I’ve finished here is See You in My 19th Life (I’m not including the after story because I kind of didn’t care about how the ML and his best friend met). I will say it was a great read and has a satisfactory ending.
Definitely See You In My 19th Life. I love Your Throne, but it still yet shows hints of being close to being concluded. Perhaps wait a bit before picking that one back on
See You In My 19th Life is done, so there's a blessing in that you know you can read it till the end.
Homesick is getting interesting plot wise. Theyve had a fun plot twist in the most recent arc that I appreciated.
Witch and the Bull is still good. We have some fun drama and magic and I feel like the plot is actually moving forward which is nice.
And also more than I can say for Your Throne. Omg we are about 200 chapters in and I felt we were close to a conclusion about 40 chapters ago, but then it just kept going. I've stopped because now I feel like it's getting over complicated and I feel like the characters don't actually have a plan or they've forgotten what they are meant to be fighting for.
I remember enjoying it but it's been a while since I did finish it. I liked how they explained that the main character kept being reincarnated and remembering some of the stuff from their passed life.
I honestly dropped it after like 7 episodes while it was ongoing and then started it again when I finished. Idk if I should slap my past self for not reading it then bc I truly did not expect to love it sm. It got surprisingly dramatic at the end but then again, I love drama lol
You should really finish surviving romance and see you in my 19th life. I haven't read when jasy whistles in a while but it was good so far life just got in the way. The witch and the bull is still good but feels a bit slow this season and maybe it went on hitaus I can't remember.
I read all the episodes I could of 5 in three days and regretted it haha. The beginning was cool, with the dream stuff, revenge, and school dramas, but it got really boring when it focused only on the romance and unhealthy obsession
Yet another vote for Surviving Romance. Besides all the other great reasons commenters gave for reading, it's also not super long (102 episodes including the epilogue and afterword).
I don't know how far into Be My Villain you are, but it's my only webcomic I paid coins to for ages because I found it to be the only one worth paying coins for. I've taken a quick break from webcomics for a few weeks now but it still remains a treasure. I should continue it tbh. There's been a few updates.
Bonus point: it's not an isekai and it's SUPER cute. Sooo there's that!
Wind in a dry branch is one of the most beautifully written webtoons I have read, and I read a lot of them. Yes, it’s a slow burn, but my god is it worth it. It is in like olde English sometimes but damn. I don’t event like dramas/romance and this one is so good
And yea I can see why you dropped zero game, I was pretty far into the story, then I caught up with the updating schedule and it just became too boring after a while. I also dropped your throne for a while but probably gonna start reading it again. Medea is so

Pick up I Love Yoo again when it's finally finished.. to when that is, i don't know. years probably. but i can confidenty say it's a good f novel if only it's updated consistently. a gem of a webtoon.
Not the advice you were asking for, but FUCK Midnight Poppyland. What a bullshit, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, waste of time story. The creator clearly has no idea where the story is going or how to build intrigue. The whole original plot summary was built around Tora recovering a notebook from a dude who was murdered, and a romance between Poppy and Quincey, but the author quickly spun things around so Poppy and Tora are now a thing, and Quincey is a gay-coded friend(?) (but it's super messy) and the notebook has been replaced by a bunch of CDs(?) I guess.
It's such a wildly meandering story, I struggle to even call it a story. Things just HAPPEN and the characters decide to do things out of the blue. The plot was lost ages ago.
I Love Yoo is a great webtoon, but I definitely need to reread it once they come back from hiatus bc if you drop it it is very hard to follow without rereading
Why is Surviving Romance and See You in My 19th Life 😭 Those two are some of the BEST webtoons period. And to a lesser extent, Operation: True Love and Dreaming Freedom are also quite good.
Surviving Romance and See You in My 19th Life are great comics
This!! I was like nah nah to everything until I arrived to those last two. Def try to give those a chance again! The reason why I feel like this is because Surviving Romance was a really interesting thriller and it had a twist to it. I like that Surviving Romance was an isekai but didn’t follow all the cliche tropes.
omg i was gonna say these two as well theyre great
OMG YOUR PFP 😂
Came to say this for sure. Both are incredible and i was satisfied with both endings too. Def finish these OP
Say no more with Surviving Romance. It really made my heart and head acheee!
tysm for all the suggestions i jst binged surviving romance in one day and I BAWLED AT THAT ENDING IT WAS ACTUALLY SO GOOD IM SOBBING
Exactly thisssss
Man I was just gonna write this exact thing!! I loved those two, especially the pacing of see you in my 19th life
They really are! Surviving Romance has such a rich story and characters, even with the 'starting over' fatigue. IMO
I'm sososososoos obsessed with wind on a dry branch but also fully admit it's very slow burn mostly high fantasy and that's not for everyone.
i dropped it before but picking it back up was the best decision ever its so peak
im letting it burn rn and will pick it up before it finishes lol
It's really good but I dropped because I had a burnout cause it was too long and depressing.
I have it saved but never started reading, should i take what u said as a recomendation to start it? What s not for everyone? For context im a giant sucker for fantasy and when it comes to romance i start giggling and kicking my feet like a toddler when the couple is flirty and cheesy and cute

I'll let Your Throne marinate more.
I think the current storyline is FINALLY getting to the juicy part of the story, feel like most of the past episodes have been filler. It seemed almost neverending. It's better rn though
See you in my 19th life is a cute Romance if you like it. Surviving Romance is good and recommend it a lot.

Surviving romance is just so good, give it another shot!
yess!!!! this!!!!!!
When jasy whistles without a doubt
Seconded. Love jasy 🥺 although I do think it's better on a binge. I caught up a couple months ago and reading it week to week is kind of confusing. Seems like it's wrapping up tho
Third vote for Jasy Whistles. I paused partway through season 2 tho to let the chapters pile up so I can binge.
i just love how i also dropped nearly all of these, but i still read Surviving Romance and you should give it another go especially bc the story is finnished and for an ongoing series i would recommend Men of Harem, it just scratches an edgy itch i have myb it will for you too
Watermelon! Although it depends on your reasons for dropping it - I’ve read it off and on for years, always a great read, I just personally prefer to binge when it catches my eye again lol.
This is literally my drop list except for Surviving Romance loll. Therefore, I would say Surviving Romance.
Yessss I love Be My Villain I’m sad it’s not getting more recs here!
Ikr! I checked twice to make sure I didn’t miss the comment that recommended picking it up, but there weren’t any. :O
When Jasy Whistles and See You In My 19th Life are both excellent.
I want someone to make a wiki article about I Love Yoo explaining the whole plot so I can read what happened without having to waste my time on paradoxically short yet simultaneously frustratingly slow chapters where I forget everything that happened the months long breaks in between. man i was not expecting half of those
The Witch and the Bull is pretty good too!!! ❤️

Subzero is chugging along. Wind on a Dry Branch is interesting. Love Midnight Poppyland but it’s still on hiatus. I need to start the Witch and the Bull again….
Eh I feel like Subzero really fell off when the main leads got together. I still keep up with it but the story is just blegh at this point
That’s fair. I’m just curious where the storyline is going.
I was wondering if i should bother with it too. Been trying to this year. Can't even binge. I do some episodes and then i get off the app or...it helps me sleep XD Problem is i mostly see it like the ML is just Fan service Hot Zuko from avatar the last airbender. It feels like this is the author's self insert fantasy of Zuko T.T
Witch and The Bull is still on hiatus.
Is it?? Well, that’s fair. I feel like a lot of the webtoons creators are not able to keep up with the schedule and are burning out.
I can understand, but I can't help but get disappointed because they seem to take a really long time before they come back.
Yeah, it’s frustrating for sure. I’m lucky to call a couple artists/illustrators friends and family. Same on starting the Witch and the Bull again 😭😭 but I definitely liked it
Code Adam is definitely interesting!!!
Yes, i was wondering why no one had mentioned it so far, its so good.
Man I can't wait to see how this one ends...I need to catch up onnthe recent season
Pick up Your Throne, it's slightly confusing if you don't pay attention. But it's good
Also came to say surviving romance and see you in my 19th life!!
i love yoo and wind on a dry branch😫 i have been trying to get back into your throne bc i still like it but i dont have motivation to catch up
Homesick is a must read!
Surviving romance is amazing and I was sad when I finished it
You can save your time and skip men of the harem 😂
Really , why?
The story just got more and more insane and complicated. She hardly used her Harem, just a waste of time due to the amount of episodes and lack of substance
Oh I see. Thanks for the reply I was wondering if I should pick it back up
The Witch & The Bull is currently on hiatus, but definitely worth catching up! They haven't lost the plot, and the art is still wonderful!
Be My Villain, I Love Yoo, and Watermelon are all part of my top picks. I ADORE THEM. But especially Be My Villain. My little gay loving heart can’t take the tension. 😭😭😭😭
i liked homesick! the plot’s complicated but whenever i have the chance to read the entire thing through again i do—that’s how i rec reading homesick
Be My villain is really cute i highly recomend
Blood ink is hella good
See You In My 19th Life is one of my faves, am currently obsessed with When Jasy Whistles.
I LOVE Like Wind on a Dry Branch. It’s the only webtoon to make me cry real tears. Your Throne is probably a good one to drop, I probably would if not for sunk cost lol
I also do like Men of the Harem!
I just want to add Zero Game to the “pick back up” list
Is it better? It's one of the few webcomics I've dropped and it's mostly because I felt like it was a rollercoaster of almost near the ending and then whoops there's more similar to dice. Still subscribed though, I'm waiting for it to finish so I can binge read it.
it got better from what I've seen, but then again, I have a bias for the chara designs, so try a bit to see if you like the direction.
See You in My 19th Life is an S Tier Comic (at least imo)
I still love watermelon but it did get quite angsty but I’m convinced it’s gonna pay off
How dare you drop Surviving Romance 😭 This is equivalent to that one meme that says- Recommendations if you don’t like: Surviving Romance Rec: TRY AGAIN
operation: true love and dreaming freedom!!!
you should pick up surviving romance and see you and my 19th life once more. they're definitely a good read, and they're both completed too
Yes to Wind on a Dry Branch
The only one I’ve finished here is See You in My 19th Life (I’m not including the after story because I kind of didn’t care about how the ML and his best friend met). I will say it was a great read and has a satisfactory ending.

See u in my 19th life
Operation True Love and See you in my 19th Life
I read all the episodes I could of 5 in three days and regretted it haha. The beginning was cool, with the dream stuff, revenge, and school dramas, but it got really boring when it focused only on the romance and unhealthy obsession
I love Homesick, it's on hiatus rn but may I ask why you dropped it?
Surviving Romance! It has the worlds coolest ending imo
Surviving romance<3
Yet another vote for Surviving Romance. Besides all the other great reasons commenters gave for reading, it's also not super long (102 episodes including the epilogue and afterword).
Homesick and Surviving Romance! I personally love Your Throne but I get how the long complicated plot can get boring for some people
watermelon is wholesome, sad, and then really cool/sad (and then wholsome again, for now). it is a *very* good emotional rollercoaster
I love Yoo and Phase are both on hiatus rn so don’t even bother with them until they’re active again is what I recommend.
Your Throne, Surviving Romance, and See You in My 19th Life are so beautiful.
I'm just shocked that Zero Game is still going. I feel like I dropped it years ago.
Your throne is SO good
The wind on a dry branch thingy When easy whistles
Surviving romance is goated you won’t regret it
idky but i legit finish dreaming freedom in like one sitting 💀💀💀💀 and its like 100+ chapters
As far as I've read you should definitely pick up dreaming freedom, see u in my 19th life, operation true love.
Surviving romance and operation true love for sureee!
Your throne needs to be picked back up immediately
I can’t believe you got downvoted for an accidental typo 😭
Omgosh I didn’t even see until you replied
Wind in a dry branch is one of the most beautifully written webtoons I have read, and I read a lot of them. Yes, it’s a slow burn, but my god is it worth it. It is in like olde English sometimes but damn. I don’t event like dramas/romance and this one is so good
Blood inc and When Jasy whistle
Definately PHASE. It's good and you surely wanna know the mystery right?
when jasy whistles!!! havent read in a while because ive been busy but it’s beautiful . editing to add men of the harem!
I personally really liked surviving romance. We’ve got a badass female lead and the plot twists were great
Everywhere and nowhere.... when will they resume?
Oh my god I love surviving romance it’s so good, I binged season 1 in one afternoon
And yea I can see why you dropped zero game, I was pretty far into the story, then I caught up with the updating schedule and it just became too boring after a while. I also dropped your throne for a while but probably gonna start reading it again. Medea is so https://preview.redd.it/r2lqnrfch2ad1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=96cc786423678cf67d761902775a1f27f1ce4f12
First one worth ever penny
I personally LOVE Operation: True Love!!! But I will say that I do know that it's not for everyone! (I still love it though... 🤭)
Pick up I Love Yoo again when it's finally finished.. to when that is, i don't know. years probably. but i can confidenty say it's a good f novel if only it's updated consistently. a gem of a webtoon.
Where Jasy Whistles is great. Fantastic world building, if that's your thing!
Not the advice you were asking for, but FUCK Midnight Poppyland. What a bullshit, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, waste of time story. The creator clearly has no idea where the story is going or how to build intrigue. The whole original plot summary was built around Tora recovering a notebook from a dude who was murdered, and a romance between Poppy and Quincey, but the author quickly spun things around so Poppy and Tora are now a thing, and Quincey is a gay-coded friend(?) Things just HAPPEN and the characters decide to do things out of the blue. The plot was lost ages ago.
i dropeed half of these too 😭😭 all i know is that dreaming freedom is wild
Even I dropped phase. What even is happening anymore
YOUR THRONE DEFINITELY I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
When Jasy Whistles and SubZero are my favs in that list!!
I love code adam
Read your throne, but only the first season
i love yoo
I Love Yoo is a great webtoon, but I definitely need to reread it once they come back from hiatus bc if you drop it it is very hard to follow without rereading
Dreaming freedom for sure (ok maybe because I am addicted)
Your Throne‼️‼️
Picked Code Adam back up and absolutely loved it. Would recommend going back to it again
I love be my villain 🥺
Why is Surviving Romance and See You in My 19th Life 😭 Those two are some of the BEST webtoons period. And to a lesser extent, Operation: True Love and Dreaming Freedom are also quite good.
The Witch and the Bull, When Jasy Whistles, and Be My Villain are three of my most favorite Webtoons. Highly recommend all three.
subzero and operation: true love!
Are we all the same person? Lol but for real, every time I see one of these posts I feel so validated for the stories I didn't finish.
People have made the suggestions for the last two so I’m gonna say operation true love definitely & men of the harem maybe
Midnight Poppy Land is awesome too!!! Great chemistry as well!!! 🙌
Surviving Romance and Midnight Poppyland are good Webtoons! Same with See You in My 19th Life
SUBZERO!!! I live for their chemistry!!! 🙌
I totally forgot Blood-Ink existed oml
SEE YOU IN MY 19TH LIFE TRUST
…you dropped midnight poppy land?!? LET IT COOK
I really love When Jasy Whistles so there's my pick
