La Bageutte Magique has a great sourdough loaf (called campagne I think). Other than that try Big Sky Bread Co. They sell at the West Chester Growers Market on Saturdays.
I’ve really been interested in their ramp bagels…but yeah best sourdough around. Them & Good Girl’s Bakery (who are about to open a shop in Eagleview!!)
i feel like i haven’t found one i totally love yet. good girls sourdough is good but not great, they go to the downingtown farmers market and i think they also deliver to wc. i second la baguette’s campagne although they told me its technically not sourdough but that it is naturally leavened. and i actually really like wegmans “sourdough miche bread” its actually real sourdough no yeast) and its whole grain which is my personal preference for sourdough.
edit for mistypes
Interesting, someone there told me it was sourdough! I’ll ask again the next time I’m in, but “naturally leavened” certainly doesn’t rule it out per se, right? Maybe I’m missing something but wild yeast is as natural as it gets.
Still hard to beat what comes out of your own oven if you have any knack for baking at all.
yeah I’m not sure what the difference is if anything!! it confused me too but yes I actually do bake my own! but it is definitely nice to buy a loaf now and then !

Everything at that French bakery is so good.
Ditto for both
Tritto
Brandywine valley bread is the correct answer. The owners are amazing too.

Agreed. Also get an almond croissant and soft pretzel.
Bagels and morning buns are both 10/10. Honestly everything there is amazing.
The scones are under rated.
The Mediterranean's bakery on the 100 block of west Gay. She also made a pizza for me once with the sour dough, may be the best pie I have ever had.
The Amish Market
I can’t speak to their sourdough, but Yoris bakery in the borough is a great bakery. I’d imagine they have solid sourdough.
