Volvo

77GoldenTails

S90 T8 would be perfect. No one expects 400bhp from a Volvo.

M27TN

This is the way. I had a C-Class (awful), a 5 Series (great) and now an S90 T8. It’s comfortable, looks great and it’s fast. I love beating little punks off the line at lights in it too! As you say, no one suspects the Volvo.

linusSocktips

The lowest of keys, but extremely luxurious

jacksdad123

I bought a Volvo new last year and I really like it. It’s very understated from the exterior and very refined on the interior. Only thing I can complain about is the entertainment system. So many functions are built into the screen and require you to dig through menus, but I think that’s common on lots of modern cars, so not unique to Volvo

Attarker

This is what I came here to say

already-taken-wtf

Compared to other cars, it appears that Volvos ride rather loud and consume too much. The V90 T8 was good fun though. Right now I am riding a XC90 T8…not so much…

NeverForget2024

My 2013 s60 is averaging 20.8mpg rn on 91-93 octane. I am admittedly VERY fond of hearing that T5 engine, and I’m sure I could get much better gas mileage if I drove in the “grandmotherly” fashion Volvos can be associated with. It’s expensive to upkeep when shit goes wrong because it doesn’t take fondly to neglect, and things will all go at once, but diligent maintenance will mostly prevent that. Coming up on 99k miles. Gonna ride it as long as I can. The interiors and sound systems really display the car’s worth, tbh. I’ve had friends express surprise when getting inside for the first time. The seats are extremely comfortable—way more comfy than my bf’s Lexus, and way more attractive. Everything seems pretty durable, except a few little air vent pieces have popped off, but I’m… kind of a bruiser. As far as loud, I don’t hear much over my music, and the speaker quality is amazing, also much better than the Lexus, so I’m very happy with that. Overall I’m biased bc the only comparison I really have is a dodge caliber 😅But I personally do love that car.

already-taken-wtf

That‘s a lot. I get 26 mpg, when driving 124+ mph on the Autobahn in my Skoda (VW engine)

Alone-Breadfruit5761

I miss my 850R wagon... So stupid to sell that not knowing how rare it would be now. 😬

theFireNewt3030

lol maybe inside but not in the engine.

MrMilesDavis

Volvo's are kind of luxury subarus

Search327

Genesis

balbizza

Had one as a rental and was very impressed. Some odd placements for cup holders and various cubbies but all together a great car.

brickmaus

Drove a 2nd gen for a few years. That thing gobbled up highway miles better than anything else I've ever driven.

yejideabram

Yeah I’d definitely get a Genesis over a Kia K900

Bearded_Basterd

You know it's the same car right?

Raveen396

Genesis G80 Electric was by far the quietest car I’ve ever been in. Did a 400 mile road trip and it was noticeable how much less noisy the highway was.

TophatDevilsSon

Genesis G80. If you really want to go all out the G90 is a fucking limousine for the price of a Toyota. (Or it was a few years ago--I think the prices went up) I thought about getting one but it was honestly too luxe. I would have felt like a douche driving that thing around.

MisterMakena

I was picked up in one and was like. Woah. Hold up. Very luxurious.

Search327

I really wanted a G80 3.3 AWD Sports Prestige but I got a 2023 G70 Prestige last week. Certified Preowned 6.8K miles for 47K. You can find good deals on the CPO G70’s because dealers use them as loaner cars.

Cornholio231

Lexus GS - not sure if the GSF is in your budget

Mean_Anybody_2476

Thanks, I'm leaning on the side of Comfort > Sporty so I think the GS might be a little too sporty. My Mercedes and its terrible ride quality made me think like this lol 😂 Also, ideally I'd like something more low-key than a Lexus

youreloser

Lexus ES. Toyota Crown. Crown Signia if you'd like a lifted wagon.

Cornholio231

the ride of a regular Lexus GS should be fine then

OverseasonedToyota

Go test drive a GS and you won’t regret it. Lexus sporty is like the quietest, most comfortable, cushy BMW comfy I’d definetely check out an LS as well. Fabulous bang for buck and it’s just comfort. No sportiness (but really direct steering) unless you need a kick of power merging on the highway.

Skika

Toyota Avalon perhaps?

mrgreengenes04

The ultimate in stealth luxury.

TaeyeonFTW

genesis or volvo

LS4002000

Lexus is low key and not that sporty, heavy luxury cruiser lol

DarePotential8296

Toyota Avalon? My wife has a Limited and it is pretty well equipped. Rides great and is super comfortable

Responsible-End-8711

Love the Avalon! They sit rather low so if you are tall or have a tall child who will be riding in the back seat, it may not be the best option. I have yet to drive a Crown but the 2019+ Avalons are Lexus quality - not at all like the Camry.

DarePotential8296

Had a man who owned both a Lexus and Avalon come up to me and say they are about the same. I’ve never driven a Lexus so I have to take you guys word for it

suppaman19

The GS is not sporty. The GS-F is and rides like ass (so does the RC-F), but the regular GS in any guise isn't sporty and rides fine, though it's not an overly plush or luxurious ride. It's also old, (tech and platform, engine too, but the NA V6 is solid), and is no longer produced. If you want something newer, not the way to go.

ResponsibleQuiet6188

Lexus es is pretty low key imho, but yea a Toyota Avalon or crown, or a decked out Camry

JaKr8

A lot of dealers are not certified to work on the k900. It was a very low volume vehicle and parts may be difficult to get.  We looked at one about 5 years ago, it was being sold CPO by our local Kia store, but they acknowledged they couldn't do major work on it, and the nearest dealer that could was 97 MI away. I already knew only certain dealers could work on it, but I just wanted this selling dealer to admit that, and it was like prying teeth, but they finally did. So keep that in mind. Otherwise these are truly beautiful cars. And no, a lot of Hyundai dealerships at the time, this was before Genesis became their own brand, wouldn't work on the K900 even though they would work on the Genesis g90, which shares the platform. And I get that you're on someone of a budget if you're looking at one of these vehicles, but you might really be better off with a fully loaded Toyota Avalon or something like that. It will be much easier and cheaper to service, and if something does go wrong, any Toyota dealership can fix it. I'm not trying to talk you out of this but just be aware of some of the things you might not have thought about buying a low volume car like this.

Mean_Anybody_2476

Thanks for the info. Honestly, the rarity of it kinda attractive to me as having something like that seems special. I live in a large city, and our Kia dealership is a joint Kia/Hyundai dealership that does sell Genesis models so I'd imagine they could work on it if need be. I'll be sure to contact them in advice, however. Thanks for giving me the heads-up.

Mnudge

You might look at the Equus as well if you like the K900

rcl1221

The Hyundai Eqqus is nice but likely too dated for what OP is interested in. It's based on a platform that debuted in 2009. The Eqqus was around in the USA from 2010-2016 and then replaced by the G90. OP is looking at a 2020 K900 which shares a platform with the 2017-2022 Genesis G90.

exoclipse

First gen Genesis G80 looks like a Chrysler on the outside and an E-class on the inside.

QuotaCrushing

I’ve been driving a 15 Hyundai Genesis sedan, which is what became the 1st gen Genesis g80, and I loooove it. Hitting 200k soon

w_a_w

I've got a '13 Genesis Rspec 5.0 V8 and it's been a fantastic car. Bought it for $11k cash with 100k on it right after covid started, before cars prices went crazy. Have nearly 142k on it now and still drives like new. Full synth oil change every 5k.

not_Fasih

Lexus Ls430 Best car ever. If you wanna go for more comfort and power, go for Ls460.

Cock_out-socks_on

The C43 is meant to be sporty, it was never what you were looking for. why do you think it’s awful? You’d honestly love the E450, also. If you haven’t changed the tires from run flats to non run flats, do yourself a favor and try it. It changes the entire car. I was really unhappy with the ride on my 2019 GLC 43 AMG until I did, it’s almost like a different car now.

Mean_Anybody_2476

Aside from shit ride quality, it has been unreliable. It doesn't even have 23k miles and I've had to replace so many different components.

Cock_out-socks_on

That’s insane, sounds like someone passed off a lemon law car to you. I’m at 80k not a single issue. Same engine etc… that is not typical of that car at all. The shit ride can be fixed with tires and by not buying a performance car. Buy a 2018-2020 e400/450. There is not a more comfortable middle size car.

Mean_Anybody_2476

Sadly, I bought the car new and followed the maintenance to the letter. Also, I don't even drive that much. Only about 4-5k miles per year. I honestly don't know what the issue was, my one coworker had a 2022 GLE and that thing has also been extraordinarily unreliable. Even the director's 2024 EQS has had a few issues. I guess we kinda all just got unlucky

Cock_out-socks_on

Yeah anything post 2020 is horrible. They changed CEOs in 2019 and unfortunately have ruined what once was my favorite brand. That’s why I say your issues are odd, you genuinely have a lemon. You unfortunately should’ve spoken to more people as a few years ago, you would’ve had the right to lemon law the car and get every dime spent back. I’m sorry you have to find this out on Reddit. But you, and your coworkers for that matter, have lemons. The previous E class gets 250-300k miles without flinching. I’ll dm you about this more, as it’s obviously strange to hear this from a stranger on Reddit.

PotentialFine0270

Not unlucky, just all driving Mercedes. They built a brand on a reputation that no longer holds up, they’re cars are shite now if I’m honest

MercedesBenzE400

2018 E400 4Matic Sedan owner chiming in here. I have a 2018 E400 4Matic Sedan with 20k miles, and it is by far the smoothest and most comfortable car I have ever driven. It also has the Premium 3 Package and is quite fully loaded. It has more than enough power to keep me smiling and excited each time I drive the car. Whenever I put the car in sports plus mode, to me it feels very fast. I also enjoy driving it in economy mode as well as individual mode. It's very refreshing to see someone else out there who knows so much about this car and who recommends it! I absolutely love this car!

The_SHUN

Weird, I have heard that car is one of the more reliable Mercedes

CarFanatic56

I just picked up a 2024 C300 on Monday and got rid of the run flats yesterday. The tires were surprisingly rough over bigger bumps, expansion joints, etc. They had to go.

Cock_out-socks_on

Yeah I really am not a fan of w206 when I get it as a loaner.

CarFanatic56

I went to the dealership looking for a GLC and was presented with a good deal on the C300. The dealership didn't have a GLC in stock that I liked, so I figured I'd give the C300 a try. It's my first Mercedes.

Cock_out-socks_on

It’s just a really far departure from their last generation. I hope you don’t get a bad impression from the brand from it.

CarFanatic56

I actually agree with your statement. The interior looks cool (gauge display and infotainment system), but relatively speaking, it isn't as luxurious as the w205.

Cock_out-socks_on

You’re the first w206 owner to admit it. I get so worked up about because if we continue to buy, they will just think “oh this must be what the consumer wants”

MercedesBenzE400

2018 E400 4Matic Sedan owner chiming in here - quick question. How has your ownership experience been for your 2019 GLC 43 AMG? I've always wondered how those cars are, as they are quite beautiful and from what I understand quite sporty as well.

Cock_out-socks_on

I love it, it’s by far the sportiest compact suv I’ve driven. I like the front suspension setup better than BMWs, so I also prefer it to the X3 m40i. The engine sound is also fantastic. It’s been extremely reliable throughout my ownership as well. The only thing is, the ride is awful on the stock run flats. You need to swap them for non run flats as fast as humanly possible. It’s stiff, but not as stiff as an X3M or something like that.

mtwilsonco

2019 Genesis G80 Ride quality is 5/5. Go test drive one.

SaviorRonaldReagan

Lincoln Aviator

[deleted]

Even the ford version - the new expedition black series is insanely nice. I was valet at a high end hotel and the new expedition black series was fancier and quieter than any Mercedes or BMW I drive in the years I worked there. I love how large it is inside too. Really adds to the luxury feel.

MrSnarf26

So as someone who owns a Navi and frequently rents expeditions for trips, you are insane. Legitimately, I love my navigator but its refinement is not even close to the X7s I have driven. I got it for the space, and used. You would be crazy to buy a navigator at its 100k+ price point as they are now.

ViewedConch697

I've been sold on Buick recently. They're really comfy, but maybe not as high end as a Merc or a Lexus

Deepinthefryer

I swear that GM isn’t doing Buick justice with a few sedans in the mix. Last regal was actually cool in its own way.

Lower_Kick268

Yeah it was cool, but sold poorly.

AineDez

If I had had the money when I bought my sportwagen I absolutely would have got the Regal TourX. Beautiful car, I just couldn't get a 35k car in 2018

hatparadox

I worked at a GM/Buick dealership, I would not touch anything past 2015 with a mile long pole. Those 90s Century's though are fucking tanks.

Responsible-End-8711

The 2025 lineup is looking really sexy. The new logo and refresh of the vehicles makes a huge difference. For the first time, I would actually consider buying one.

ParachuteLandingFail

I drove a rented Enclave from San Diego to the Bay Area a few years ago with my family and it was honestly the best road car I've ever driven. Insanely smooth and quiet, solid AF, plenty of engine power going through mountain passes. My wife wanted to buy one immediately. We may take a look at the 2025 or 2026 when we need a new vehicle.

ResponsibleQuiet6188

Yea I dig that Buick wagon too!

SalesNinja1

Recently switched from a XT6 to a traverse to an Enclave. The Enclave is by far the best of the bunch.

ezodochi

the K900 is a great car, just unfortunately with a kia badge. It's more modern equivalent is the Genesis G80. If you want more power and closer to a C class the G70 3.3T might be up your alley albeit the backseats are cramped

rcl1221

Platform shared with the G90 actually.

PastAd8754

Genesis hands down.

neo8848

Genesis G80 (balanced comfortable ) followed by Lexus ES (non sporty ) and lexus Gs(sporty). Even the sportiest Lexus is more comfortable than sporty Germans. Also Lexus LS if you need a big car with tier one (s class rival without tech) comfort.

pakmansz

W212 facelift e class

rockdude625

You crank an E55 AMG up to 11 and nobody will ever look twice at it in a parking lot

The_Real_NaCl

Genesis.

Tuxedo_Muffin

I don't know how cozy it is, but a Volkswagen Touareg. The same platform makes the: Audi Q7/Q8, Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga, and Lamborghini Urus. That's a lot of luxury stable mates for a **checks notes* VW.

Mean_Anybody_2476

I actually quite like these, my only issue is that most of the ones in my area are 2015s and 2016s which seem a little too old

Pomsky_Party

Yes I believe it was discontinued in 2017

onePPtouchh

Pretty sure Europe still has them but yea not North America.

Tuxedo_Muffin

In North America, correct

Wolfiest

But does it come with the urus engine?

UbiquitousUlyses

Consider the 2017-2020 Lincoln MKZ. Get the 2.7 if you care more about speed (just keep an eye on the turbo), 2.0 hybrid if you care about efficiency and reliability (but it IS slow af). The regular 2.0 is a little susceptible to coolant issues but there's a TSB and recall for some VINs to correct the issue. My grandmother had a 2014 and 2019 - both 2.7L - and when I got behind the wheel, even the slightest tap would get the thing MOVING. Screeched the tires a few times before I understood the power I was working with. And, since it shares parts with the Fusion, it's relatively lower maintenance cost

Responsible-End-8711

I love my MKZ! Also consider the Continental of the same generation if you can find one in your area.

UbiquitousUlyses

What powertrain do you have? I'm looking to swap out of my A4 and want an MKZ but I can almost exclusively find the 2.0T and worry about reliability

Responsible-End-8711

I have the base 2.0 and it drives like a charm. No problems with reliability for me!

Infinite_Cut83

The continental is really nice but weighs way more than the mkz and loses a lot in the driving dynamics compared to the mkz. Great sleeper though with the 3.0L and AWD.

843251

I have never had an MKZ but at the same time I had both an MKS and Continental. The Continental was a joy. The MKS was alright but its basically just a fancy Taurus. I would kinda like to replace the Continental. My mom had it out and crashed it in June 2021. I have 2 CTS-V and other sports cars. For a big luxury car that Continental didn't feel much different than driving one of my Vs other than it being an automatic with my others all 6 speeds. Prices are pretty reasonable on them too especially now they haven't built them in 4 years. I loved that car. Rarely see them. I do see them every now and then but not very often.

Puzzleheaded-Cut3144

I came very close to getting an MKZ 10 years ago. Really nice car. You used to be able to get them at a deep discount after they were traded in on a short lease. Not sure about today's market.

Impressive-Usual-451

2017-2021 Lincoln Continental with twin turbo 400 hp. American Bentley

Responsible-End-8711

I love them! I’m a person who likes tangible buttons, switches, and dials as opposed to one giant touch screen with nothing tangible to speak of. My current hunt is for a coach door edition of the Continental from a few years ago - although I doubt I will ever find one that would be worth the price.

Impressive-Usual-451

Boy I would love to see the Coach edition. Share pix !

Responsible-End-8711

There are some more pics on Google - I don’t know if this link shows up but it’s a good picture of the Coach Door Edition [Lincoln Continental Coach Edition](https://www.thedrive.com/wp-content/uploads/images-by-url-td/content/2021/11/continental-coach-door-lincoln-2020-for-sale-lead-1.jpg?w=1920)

DrStrangulation

What’s wrong with the c43? I had. 2017 and absolutely loved it!

OFDMsteve

S90 T8, you can get them for decent prices, they're incredible. I'm a Cadillac/BMW guy, but Volvo is WILDLY underrated for all the vehicle you get for the cost, and they don't scream "Look at me, I have money and like being flashy".

Classic_rock_fan

Volvos are also some of the safest and best built vehicles on the road.

Superb-Ad6139

Don’t get a Kia lmao. Terrible build quality and reliability. You have a few genuine options: Volvo, Acura, and Lexus.

speeding2nowhere

For me it’s still the Audi S8. Cuz it looks like any other normal forgettable Audi but it’s packing (basically) the RS7 spec 4.0T V8 under the hood. Serious sleeper. The K900 isn’t even close to this level. Even if you can’t swing a current gen S8 look for prior gen cars. They’ve all been that way.

htxatty

Or S6

speeding2nowhere

Similar, but not as capable outright. S6 is solid for sure tho, but the S8 is literally a sleeper RS7 lol

htxatty

Without a doubt, but to get into OP’s price range he’d have to get a 2014-15 with 100,000 miles on it, and I would never suggest a high mileage Audi to anyone.

SnooHabits9364

Volvo?

ItsWheeze

Volvo. Not sure I’d buy a newer one out of reliability concerns, but on the outside at least I think the S90 is low-key the nicest looking sedan you can buy for less than 100K. You just have to look close to really notice that. It’s restrained, which is saying something considering it’s got a six-inch Sagittarius symbol on the grille.

KiraDog0828

Volvo’s optional B&W audio system is awesome. Puts the Burmester system in my former Mercedes to shame.

hatparadox

My aunt just bought the XC90 and it's been in and out of the shop since then. Very nice looking but seems expensive and annoying to maintain.

EastAway9458

Second this. No one thinks Volvos are fast and they’re wrong lol.

NoTalkImGaming

OP if you want the K900, but don’t want to worry about parts and dealers that are certified to work on it, get a Stinger GT. I have a GT1 that i upgraded to from my 2014 BMW and it’s exceptionally nicer. Smoother ride, better amenities, seats are more comfortable, better performance and power, etc. It has the same engine as the K900, available in RWD or AWD (AWD in sport mode throws 80% power to the rear tires, turn it back to comfort/eco for 50/50), and so much more.

GetBAK1

I've been really impressed with Volvo lately. The S90 has 455HP and is all around really well done [**https://www.volvocars.com/us/cars/s90-hybrid/**](https://www.volvocars.com/us/cars/s90-hybrid/)

Automatic_Cod_5229

I was recently car shopping, and a few came to my attention that may fit your need. The Kia Stinger and the Toyota Crown are both in the same ballpark. The Crown is very nice on the inside, pretty comfortable, very large, reliable, and gets very good gas mileage. If Asian cars aren't your thing, try looking into the Ford Lightning. It's electric, large, pretty capable, and the higher trims can get ridiculously nice.

ThisDevCantSeeShit

Came to suggest the Crown too or a Lexus ES, specially as OP wants good quality, *ordinary* and presumably better *reliability*. The highest trim Crown or the ES will be better and last longer than other “beginner” luxury sedans.

CayenneHybridSE

Lincoln MKZ or Continental with the TTV6s are pretty darn quick, very nice interiors especially if you get a Black Label model. I can’t speak on the reliability of them though, could be hit or miss. Cadillac CTS-V sports with the TTV6 are also very underrated, but those are harder to find. As people already mentioned the G80 with the 5.0 V8 is an amazing combo

steal_your_thread

I absolutely love my Volkswagen, but they have a weirdly bad reputation in the U.S, so if you live there maybe not... But anywhere else I would recommend.

rcl1221

The K900 is basically a reskinned Genesis G90 that sold in way less numbers. If you've got one nearby that checks all the boxes nothing else will compare. The Kia brand still has a bit of leftover stigma so it will be significantly more inexpensive than the comparable G90. One thing to mention (that might not be a big deal to you) is the dealership experience. It will probably be as no frills as it gets with a Kia dealership.

Aggressive-Map-244

Lexus LS 460

Responsible-End-8711

Lincoln’s current lineup is very “quiet luxury.” I also sat in a 2025 Buick Envision Avenir the other day at a dealership - definitely luxurious and a sleeper. Remember: “Money shouts, wealth whispers” 😉

WolfeJib69

2021+ Acura TLX A Spec

Prize-Analyst7897

+1 on Genesis and Volvo being sleeper luxury. I would also consider a BMW 4 series Grand Coupe. I have the EV version (the i4) and it's the perfect blend of sportiness, comfort, and tech.

bakermaker32

How is bmw and volvo sleeper?

Prize-Analyst7897

BMW is not a sleeper, just a Mercedes alt. I do think Volvo and Genesis are because they're not what come to mind for most people when you say "Luxury Car".

bakermaker32

I kind of thought that way too until I looked at their SUV’s. The cheapest ones they had put you in the mid range of Mercedes and bmw.

ProblemOverall9434

Audi S6

htxatty

This is the way

yeahnahyeahnahyeahye

Volvo and Lexus easily do the best

CXTKRS1

The only thing that would concern me about the K900 is parts that are exclusive to that vehicle. Example would be a key fob that was $2000 and that was the cost for our vendor.

hapyhar0ld

I was in the same situation and narrowed it down to a RS3, IS500 or M340i. Ended up with the IS500.

htxatty

Please go check out an Audi S6

HotRodHomebody

OgreMk5

2020 Volvo S60 T8 Get the R-Design if you like a little more muscular looks. Get the Momentum if you want a little more luxury. Why the T8? Because it's a plug in EV with all-wheel drive and 400 horse power. The optional Polestar enhancement gets it to 415 horsepower and just shy of 500 foot pounds of torque. Zero to sixty is five seconds. And part of that torque comes from your electric motor so it's instant and constant. The 2.0 liter turbo and supercharged 4 banger does the rest and it sounds really nice. The interior is fantastic. The seats are extremely comfortable. I've fallen asleep in them while waiting for the boy to get out of school. It is a little lacking in the interior storage. The batter sit between the driver and passenger, so it's got good weight distribution. It's not a track-day car (though I guess it could be), but it's nice and quiet when you just want to cruise. And when you want the power, it will deliver.

Jjmills101

Toyota Avalon, any Lexus that isn’t trying to be sporty, honestly the whole Audi brand is let’s make a Volkswagen a little nicer. Although I suspect you aren’t an ideal German car owner. The ideologies are just different. German DMs expect you to perform maintenance perfectly on time every time, whereas Japanese DMs assume you’re going to ignore them and constantly forget to change the oil.

iSOBigD

Current Kia K900 (not sold in North America) and the Genesis G90, which you can buy. They both have amazing interiors without a ton of fake vents and things like that. Just nice looks and great, silent interiors with high end materials. The G80 is also really nice if you don't need top of the line stuff, but great looks.

Relevant_Berry_3549

Do you use the factory runflats on your c class? I have a c300, so I am not sure if it’s the same, but the ride comfort increased drastically when I upgraded my tires to premium non runflats.

Mean_Anybody_2476

I switched out the tires hoping that'd improve the ride but they didn't do much. The suspension setup on the C43 is designed to destroy spines.

desiderkino

when i tell people kia has nicer , more quality interior than modern Mercedesses i get laughed at. but this also is my experience. even though i am in Europe and we don't have v8 kias

Sk0ly

I would laugh at that. I test drove a Telluride and it's full of that cheap hard textured plastic you see in a 95 ranger. Add that to the theft issues and random engine failures and it's a no from me

desiderkino

we dont have telluride in europe. i drove mercedes a class, c class and kia xceed. xceed has obviously nicer interior. no shitty plastic and most of all it did not looked like a 30usd tablet from aliexpress. especially a class (which costs almost 60% more than xceed) was full crap interior. but the software on mercedes infotainment is very nice, nothing can compare to that

Sk0ly

We are speaking different languages lol. The A class here is an upscale cheap car. I had to Google the Xceed as I'd never heard of it. The closest thing we would have is the Sportage which isn't great

Accomplished_Fly3191

I have a 2019 Volvo s60 T8, car is absolutely gorgeous inside and outside, makes over 400 so it’s very fast and comfortable to cruise. Also comes with a CPO warranty of 5 yrs / unlimited miles would highly recommend

MEMExplorer

Lexus GS 300 with the 2JZ , or the GS 430 with the 3UZ … stock they’re decent , if u put a little money into turbos , exhaust , and a tune and you’ll be embarrassing some folks with proper sports cars

2010 to 2011 Lincoln Towncar. Find a Black on Black, and get yourself a driver. They are cheap and reliable for what they are. Chicks dig them too!

From the factory the C series amg is probably the roughest riding of the two other german competitors. In all honesty you would probably be happy with a regular Mercedes or an Audi RS product if you want to stay on the sporty side. I’m also curious what market you’re in because the K900 got discontinued 3 years ago

Generally Lexus falls into this category but agreed with others saying Genesis too.

Lexus GS F??

Sensitive_Split_3930

We have a 2023 Lincoln Corsair and love it. It’s so comfortable and the Blue Cruise feature is amazing.

Wowplays

Had the same c43. Miss the neck snaps when slamming that gas. Don’t miss shattering rims on potholes in ne ohio

Lexus es luxury

cyburt67

Lexus. Toyota reliability, lil more modern class

sylent_knight

I feel like the Toyota Avalon fits the bill

fathathead

the irony is complaining about reliability but then considering a kia or genesis. lmfao buddy these cars are nice on the inside but thats it. Extremely unreliable and only worth it if you lease for 3 years max.

musicmerchkid

Get a high spec Toyota or Lexus

MisterMakena

Genesis G70 G80 or G90. They are making cars very luxurious, something many luxury manufacturers are moving away from. The finishing the accents etc are legit. The only issue is the dealer network. Rode in a G90 while travelling for work, I was picked up and was wow.

Healthy_Block3036

Any Lexus!!!

OptimalFunction

Tired of unreliable? Your next car should not be a used Kia lol Try a Lexus ES for comfort, used GS for RWD

A v10 Audi a6 avant is very sleeper and a little luxury

Audi is the king of that game imo

thefavoredsole

Seriously try the Lexus GS. I saw you mention that you think it's too sporty, but it's not. Its what the Genesis that everyone is mentioning wants to be. Just give it a drive, you won't be disappointed. It looks like any other regular car, rwd based, and is more reliable than any korean car being mentioned here.

Yebzy

Audis whole brand is sleeper luxury

pa_bourbon

They are light years behind BMW and Benz in tech. We’ve owned all three. 4 BMWs, 2 Audis, 5 Benz’s. Will not buy another Audi.

furnicologist

Gen 11 Accord hybrid - surprisingly quiet and quick, while sub-$40k affordable

kh04

If you’re still considering German cars, I think a 2021+ BMW 540i RWD would be great and should be pretty reliable. However if we’re talking lower maintenance costs, I agree with the others on the Genesis G80/G90, Lexus IS350/LS500 or Volvo S60/S90.

ResponsibleQuiet6188

Lexus IS actually not super sporty but more so than an es or genesis (maybe not the 70?). I find that the automotive press dogs it hard for some pretty minor “flaws”, just mainly bc it’s performance doesn’t match the Germans

WillPersist4EvR

Lexus ES. I just got one. It’s been around long enough that it’s not too flashy. And it does luxury right, if you get the Luxury or Ultra Luxury trim. It’s going to be redesigned in 2026 (most likely), so you can get a deal on a 2024.

Bassracerx

the k900 will be out of warranty and that is not a car that you want out of warranty. you would be much better off in your mercedes.

mrgreengenes04

The Toyota Avalon was the ultimate stealth luxury car until they discontinued it. The Camry is nice, but it's not an Avalon. The K900 is a pretty good choice. So are most Volvos.

pa_bourbon

Benz isn’t a real Benz until you get to the E class sedan or the GLE SUV or higher. A,B and C loop you into the brand and they hope you stick around and buy higher in the line. The difference between the ride and build quality of a GLC vs GLE is astonishing in the SUV line.

SVTraptor99

Lexus ES350

4fishhooks

Audi rs6. Don’t mess with Korean cars man

mgobla

K900 is the best choice, nothing comes close with your criteria

GenDegen_69

Audi A7 for comfort, S7 for speed. Prestige has some crazy audio and quietness too it. Double window panes help so much with noise. A7 has such a soft suspension, the S7 is close but not quite as nice

shivshark

finally someone not suggesting a fucking kia or mazda when the title says luxury 😂

Throwaway82748198261

Honestly if you want main brand luxury for cheap get a 2013 Range Rover Sport and make sure the timing chain was done if you’re not afraid of self maintenance they are great don’t take them to the dealer but thats my take i work on them myself. They have everything modern you’d want while still keeping up with modern looks mostly.

adamlreed93

Lexus TX when they resolve a little air bag recall

Frank_Thunderwood2

Sounds like you want a new half ton pickup truck honestly.

mrgoogleman12

Infiniti M37 or Q70 maybe, the K900 is a really great buy

Alone-Breadfruit5761

I have a 2016 GS-F 😉
