Huntsman! Yes, it's venomous. Nearly all arachnids are. Try to shoo it away and you'll be fine. They are extremely fast though, so be warned because it will startle you.
They don't use webs, so you find them in weird places like this, unfortunately.
Edit: Should mention that while they are venomous, you will not experience medical concern unless you have an allergic reaction (Pretty rare)
Absolutely not a recluse. It looks more like a huntsman spider (olios sp.).
They can bite but they are quite harmless. They are quite chill but super quick.
Just put it outside and let them mind their own business
OMG, I have traveled all around South America and never saw a spider let alone one that big. I mean I know they're there but had I seen one like that, I might have been more cautious about clothes and shoes at the very least.

Yeah - if you're not allergic, you'll be ok (still watch for infection). But it will definitely hurt!

Google is telling me that this may be a Golden Huntsman spider. If it is, it is a young one. I’m no expert and am absolutely open to any corrections!
Anyone know why it has only six legs?
Bar fight.
Always fighting over the black widow
Her legs are just so slender
Are you hitting on the spider? Because I heard she's down.
Pain don't hurt.
It lost them to the environment or a predator or disease
A starving huntsmen relocate it outside with a nice meal and you will be fine
No! You should be fine to eat it!
🤭😉
Are there huntsman spiders in Costa Rica? I don't know why I thought those were those huge honkin spiders in Australia....
There are huntsmen species on every continent except Antarctica. Just the ones in the Australia are attention hogs.
Oh great....
I don’t know about poisonous but it is house evacuation worthy😅
Who cares? You need to set it on fire and run. Everything about it looks like bad news. I’m being silly but seriously, it looks like bad bad news.
>I’m being silly but seriously, it looks like bad bad news. There's so much human evolution in that statement
How are you not screaming and crying
They probably were,as they were vehemently typing to our reddit profs
eat it and find out

I should have more useful comments for spider posts but alas I’m just here to say that’s absolutely terrifying 😂
Am I weird or is this little guy adorable? Why do they look like they just need a comfy place to rest? 🕷🌸❤
He do an big steppy
Venomous.
Not medically significant venom*
I think its just correcting the poison/venom tjing but yh
