The three of them twerked on screen, and it's possible that the writers wrote it because twerking was a popular dance move. What they don't know is that twerking tend to be very sexual and they're using elementary school children. Ironically, Amethyst from Steven Universe dance similar to twerking, but no one freak out. Possibly because she's a few hundred years old and is a rock person. Tbh, I think most of the controversies and criticism from the show can be boiled down to the people not caring about making the reboot or a bit too naive with their writing. Like there was a controversy about the reboot horribly portraying trans people through an allegory, but the allegory was fabricated by the pr team to show people how progressive the reboot was. That made up allegory was a complete mess. People also talked about how one of the worker name Jared became Blossom love interest, but I think that was the result of the team making a harmless inside joke. An inside joke that was funny to them, but not to everyone outside of that team which led to some issues. There's a few other issues, but I don't want to talk about the reboot. It seems most people don't remember the reboot, and I think that's for the better for everyone.

Also Teen Titans Go literally putting an inflation episode where Cyborg and Beastboy devour the whole city with their belly buttons. I don’t want to sound like a boomer, but honestly Cartoon Network is a complete shitshow now. Their last good show was Gumball (I don’t count the Lego shows or we bare bears because sadly those rarely even aired much in their time).

Forget that, there is an episode where they shoot milk at Wonder Woman's body and mouth.

There's still some good shows, but the real issue with CN is their scheduling. Craig of the Creek, Apple and Onion, MaoMao, Victor and Valentino, Summer Camp Island, and Earth from Elliott are all pretty good, but CN only air Craig of the Creek, Gumball, and Teen Titan Go. The rest kinda air once, and just disappear until the next season. Some shows like Summer Camp and Victor and Valentino were able to get a few seasons while others like MaoMao and Apple and Onion were cancelled way before their prime. I feel like CN is in a bad state since everyone is going to steaming, and Warner Bros will have animated content to be in HBO Max rather than CN. They moved Infinity Train, Tig n Seek, Meet the Fungies, Young Justice, and Adventure Time Distant Land to HBO Max despite being original part of CN. While I do hope we could get another renaissance, I believe CN like most TV channels are done for in the near future. At least the good news could that streaming can bring in more freedom for cartoons in the future. Netflix has an amazing category of animated shows both for kids and adult, and it's possible that HBO Max could follow this pattern after Netflix shot itself in the spine.
