It was kept anonymous for both the donor and the recipient (I knew the donor), but I can imagine if those 2 met later down the road, it would be pretty easy to determine that it was the same donation.
So if the context of the donation was specific enough, I could see them being able to connect the dots.
Especially if you’re at a point where you tell the other strange events that happened in your life.

At least here each donation is traced to the point of receiving patient(so if anything happens it can be traced back to the donor), so technically it's possible.

Also how would you know who donated the blood they gave you? It's not like they write the donor's name on the bag.
