You can get AT&T fiber in most of Wichita and surrounding areas now. I would strongly suggest staying away from Cox internet, as they are nothing but problems. Haven’t had any issues since switching to fiber 2+ years ago. Would have multiple problems a month when we had Cox. You won’t really have to deal with heavy traffic here, just beware other drivers. You know the drill. If you have questions, I’d be happy to help. Welcome to Wichita!

Thank you for the feedback!

Cox will make you bend over and take it, and leave you unsatisfied. AT&T fiber is the only real option here.

Crown Heights/College Hill area. There is an At&T station in the neighborhood. I have had their service for 5 years and have only had one time the internet went out.

brianr1

Absolutely this. Never a problem with AT&T

It's super difficult to give meaningful feedback if you don't list a budget range and any other preferences. The city has excellent Internet coverage, generally speaking.

My budget is around 400k\~ These are few of some activities that I like playing soccer, running on trails, dancing, gym, trying new restaurants, going to some bars and have some chilling beers, as far as clubs some that have techno, edm or latin music.

We honestly have a lot of good, safe neighborhoods. It would be easier to list the bad neighborhoods since there aren't many, and even in those bad neighborhoods honestly it depends on the block and the specific neighbors on your street- people around here look for each other if you find the right spot. I'm partial to the north side of town- I think someone coming from Seattle would love the Riverside neighborhood- old neighborhood with lots of trees and unique character in their houses but they are on the older side so if you're buying you better prepare for some maintenance and elbow grease. I am always advocating for people to try to actually live in our city close to the downtown area as there's so much fun things to do on the weekends and I do think living in the city you're most likely to have some good AT&T Fiber service. But honestly if you're more of a suburbanite or want to be we have a lot of great options there as well- Maize, Andover, Goddard, Bel Aire, they all have their pluses and minuses but they're great suburbs and should have AT&T Fiber by now. You can find more land for more affordability in Benton area, Haysville, Andale, or Valley Center, but due to how spreadout they are, you may have a bit more trouble on that high speed internet.

Thank you for the listing of Neighborhoods. I think I might go with suburban area I just enjoy a lot tranquility of life but also over the weekends don't mind driving. I'm still exploring my option and not closed to one particular area but will definitely explore the neighborhoods you listed before fixing into one.

If you consider Riverside there are a few things to think about. Because it is basically a Forrest next to the river there are tons of animals. They will be in your yard everyday. Also it is a nice little neighborhood, but there is still petty crime all the time.

Make sure you overpay for an old house in College Hill or you will die immediately. It's just not safe anywhere else.

Do you have an agent assisting you?

MushyAbs

We live in a very safe neighborhood and I’ve always used cox without any issues. Have blazing fast speed and updated modem and have zero issues. We have two working from home and two teens on video games or streaming shows and never any problems with lag.

immoyo

I'm out by 119th & central (west side) and love it here. It's on the quiet side with new and older developments mixed around. Traffic is really mild but we're a 10 min drive away from lots of nice business on Maize rd. Edit: we get att fiber out here

CandidDependent2226

Just move to Andover instead of Wichita. 😉

Bronzeplay

I'll take a look at Andover, I can see that it has AT&T available and good house options! Thanks, I was considering only the west side but this place also looks nice.
