That should be okay. Desperate times, desperate measures. What are a few good temp agencies? Do I drop in - in-person or email them?
Thank you for your response
Hi!
Some are better then others, but most should be able to find you at least something temporarily.
If you're able to make it in person, I would recommend that - calling is your second best bet. Email may get you overlooked at first unless you stand out.
Start with Express Employment Professionals. Also reach out to The Job Shoppe (temping at vistaprint isn't very hard to get into there), Accu-staff and Personnel by Elsie. There are a few others but I wouldn't recommend them until you've tried those places first.
Apply for OW immediately if you don’t qualify for EI. Sutherland hires fast and they pay for 6 weeks of classroom training. Use that time to apply for other jobs and worst case scenario you end up working there for a bit. Try to work in cell phones because commission is good.
Wow, that's a first. I quit after a month. In my exiting interview I said "My job consists of basically masking my contempt for the assholes in charge, and, at least once a day, retiring to the men's room to jerk off, while I fantasize about a life that doesn't so closely resemble hell".
If you’re going to apply to a call centre, depending on your location, I’m going to say the one at Tecumseh mall is certainly the lesser of the two evils. I worked there back in like 2014 when it first opened.
It’s called HGS hinduja global solutions
Tbh when I started it was like slightly above min wage but again this was literally 10 years ago.
I recall I applied online I would check out their website. [work from home job posting](https://www.joinhgs.com/ca/en/current-openings/2799)
I'm not sure where is currently hiring but here is a major tip, when applying online, apply through the company website NOT indeed. Employers don't see 90% of those resumes, even if you have the right qualifications.
Best of luck my friend
I have been there. Rule#1 stay positive .
When I was a student in Toronto 20 years ago and ran out of money (immigrant with no friends or family) , the only places willing to hire me were moving and security companies. Start with them. Apparently locals hated those jobs.
Meanwhile post an ad in Kijiji and look for yard work. Landscape season is on the horizon.
Unfortunately most fast food places only hire TFWs and international students these days. If OP doesn’t fit into one of these categories then they don’t stand a chance.
Depends on your skill set I would think. If you have some in demand skills or are willing to relocate you would find a job quickly. If you don’t well you may be in for a bumpy road. Lots of services to help you out. Ontario Works is a good one. Best of luck.
Why, is Indeed bad in general? I have found my previous 2 employers on there. Probably depends on what a person is looking for, their experience, etc., I had zero issues.
Indeed is iffy since all applications use AI filtering to "find the best candidates." Unless you're tailoring your resumé to each posting, it's incredibly difficult to beat that system. If you opt out of AI filtering, the application (allegedly) loses priority over ones that have. Additionally, since Indeed is incredibly accessible, most postings have upwards of 500-1000+ applicants at one time.
I used it only to see which companies were hiring before going to their website and applying there. Actually getting a job offer -- or even interview -- via Indeed is difficult. It's not impossible, but your odds are never great unless you're applying for niche positions.
Temp agencies are the fastest way to get a job Maybe not a good job but a job Good luck

I’m sorry I haven’t used one in a few years Maybe try calling a couple of them in the morning!
Appreciate the help, stranger. I will do in the morning. Thank you.

Sutherland isn’t bad. I actually enjoyed it

Can you please help me to get into Sutherland
I don’t work there anymore. Sorry
Thank you. I will look into it.

Do you apply there in person or send them an email over call? How much do they pay? Thank you for your response.

i work in HR and i can second this. it’s really 50/50 if we even look at indeed
Do you have office/customer service experience? The insurance industry is always hiring.
Like every fast food place has hiring signs on them
Have your smart serve? Working behind a bar isn’t horrible work, and the tips aren’t bad
I don't. But I think I could get it.
What's your availability like? Do you have a license with clean driving abstract?
Hey. I just DM'd you.

Sutherland or HGS? They always have issues keeping people. It's a sucky job but it's a job in a hurry.
McDonald’s and Tim Hortons are always hiring. Best of luck

Not true at all
Definitely true

Maybe try Indeed :)
good luck with that

Makes sense! I was applying for niche positions. I can see where the trouble lies now, thanks for explaining!
