What a bunch of idiots for not working at their job that was likely closed down for the holidays.
Don’t they know they could have been working instead?
Or maybe, honey, people want to celebrate our country and enjoy time with their family. As an immigrant, maybe try to get acquainted with our countries culture.
The line starts hours before they open and they tend the disperse when the realize the chance of a free meal is not worth waiting hours on end for.😂🤣😂🤣😂
Saw another video and the line had around 500 people waiting...
I got money at the bank at 8:30am and already probably 60 people.... At 9:30 driving by again line was around the corner almost to Howard....
Holy cannolis
As other commenters have mentioned... it's gotta be for Mandarin's free buffet for Canada Day 🇨🇦
I think it's an absolutely stupid waste of time. You should see the lineups in Toronto... it's nuts. But it's somewhat of a Canadian tradition at this point, I guess.
Anybody who does choose to spend their day waiting in line for this had better be tipping their servers damn well!
Hey that is pretty generous of a company to do that to feed hundreds of people for free when a lot of restaurants are closing down. That is the Canadian spirit of giving during hard times.
I couldn't believe it as I drove by.
I realize it can run over $100 for two to dine here but to wait in line for hours for a free meal, in most cases, seems desperate. I suppose for someone who is broke and starving it would be an option, but I don't think that's the case here for the most part.
What a waste, if they're giving away free food why not feed the homeless instead of a bunch of people with nothing better to do than waste their entire day off work standing in line?

Almost 6pm last night. Unbelievable
Probably in line for Mandarin, which is free today.
Horrible
Why?

This is a Canadian holiday. Nobody should be working.

Insane take
Eat for free at Mandarin, if you're can get inside. Happens every Canada Day!
Wow I didn’t know that… neither did I know that many people would be willing to stand outside for hours just to eat for free at Mandarin 😅

I went to metro around 430. This line was close to Howard. I like free things but I am not waiting in line for that!
Here is Kitchener... https://www.reddit.com/r/kitchener/s/e2WlI9JmhQ

If you arecheap enough to wait 3+ hours in line for a free meal, then I'm sure you are too cheap to tip
Free buffet mandarin

Yeah count me out lol. Food is mid and the line is ridiculously long. I’ll just order takeout from another spot
I totally agree, it’s also not the best quality to say the least.
Oh ok I see what’s going on here, a little reverse psychology 👏 see you all in line! Haha

Oh Canada, true north strong and MSG
is it really worth a 12 hour wait in line?

Oh I can imagine the lovely clientele at the Mandarin if it’s free.
Perhaps people who could use the free meal don't judge.
It should only be for people who have actually paid for a meal 🥘 in the last year. I’ll bet 95% are grifters
How does one grift a free meal?
If it’s free a grifter will figure it out !
i think you need to figure out what grifting means lol, it doesn't mean lining up for hours to eat one free meal
Saw that and was wondering the same!
